It's a long, long pause before Seddi speaks, his expression remaining unreadable the entire time.
"Fortune does indeed have a funny way of making a mess of things along the way, taking you in directions you never thought you'd travel."
He lets out a long, exasperated sigh of his own. He doesn't like that Enigma is tied up in the mess that is his unknown past. Guess he didn't know exactly why she pricked his arm, either.

Having kept a Keen Eye on the literally looming threat before you, its easy to tell that the BGD is on its last legs - a few more good hits and he's going DOWN for the count! Heck, you could try to make a Catch to end things early - the brute is Confused and weakened as he'll ever be without Fainting and further Statusing it (not too conducive to making a Loyal friend or sell, that route) !
....This last round all but confirmed your suspicion that something was not right about this Fight. This Big Gloomy Dragon practically SCREAMS 'Legendary Threat' , yet it's getting clobbered by your Draconic Fighter. To fair its giving just as good as it was getting too - if it weren't for this match up playing HEAVILY into Lani's favor and triggering a bunch of positive Pseudo Mods it'd be a hell of a lot more dicey. Still, what gives?
.....Last and certain not least, you catch the BGD starting to eye you with angry condemnation. Before, it was content to ignore you in favor of dealing with the Strange Dragons that were INTRUDING in their territory, but after seeing you erase all the wounds of its foe? It considers you a fair and PRIORITY target now, your Gut tells you. Oh boy - better be prepared to Dodge, Hide, Run, or get Lani to Clash for you!

Throwing an Ultra ball at the foe the plan was simple, while it was distracted dive behind the first large boulder he can see so the dragon would hopefully lose track of him after emerging from the ball again.
At that point Lani could keep brawling while he was safe for a moment. If anything were to go wrong his best shot was to try and run while trying to stay behind cover.
He'd yell at Lani to be ready to clash should it break out before he could hide, if it did lose track to just keep beating on it as she liked.

Not that you noticed, as you legged it ASAP behind cover and tucked in like a cross between a Whimpod and Squirtle, trying to make as small of target for that Titanic Cave Lord to try (and no doubt Succeed) claw at!

Silence, SILENCE?!?!, this wasn't supposed to happen? That beast... a simple Ultra Ball was enough, it couldn't be?! Slowly he peeked out behind his hiding spot, shock setting in as he spots the resting ball. Lani's excitement snaps him out however, turning his attention to the victor.
''Just like that.... We really went above and beyond just now, especially you little lady.'' He'd attempt to scoop up the victorious derg into a short hug despite any protest that may occur. ''When we get out of here you definitly earned some spoils for that amazing performance.''
The elation slowly wearing off he'd walk over to pick up the now full Ultra Ball, examining it in his hands. Something of that calliber shouldn't fall into the hands of the wrong people, he'd better be careful of who to tell of this dragons existence. Though he was very curious to how the others and *her* would react..... squash that thought, lets get outta here first.
If this pipe got him into this mess it would be doubtful that it would also be the exit, setting his eyes on the distant pipe he saw earlier to be his next target.
