Reiner has to blink a few times when Mew vanishes before his eyes and the psychic connection is severed abruptly.  He puts a hand to his forehead and shakes it, then blinks a few more times when he stops.  "Gah, that was powerful...no wonder it wasn't using its full power..."  Then he notices Weavile and Felicia looking up at him in worry..."I'm fine...I think...gah, what time is it?  The last thing we're going to want to be is late...we might not ever get another chance like this, after all..."

The frazzled Persain let out an irritated sigh, though, and began pacing back and forth in front of Reiner, clearly unhappy with what it says next. "However, I strongly suspect that Mew will not just leave us alone. From the ancient stories my master told me long ago, once something has attracted Mew's attention, they become fixated by it until they satisfy their curioisity....or any other urges that may come its way. Regardless of what may happen, it will likely be hanging around us for a long time..." Letting out a snarl at the thought of being crushed by the Legendary, it paw the ground in front of it, leaving nice long gouges into the concrete. Weavile, already on edge from his own close encounter with the divine, carefully backs away from the fussy kitty. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and it did not what a random Slash attack coming its way!

"With that in mind....I recommend we pay that Merchant a visit, and see what supplies we can get from them. Mew put stipulations on healing items, but they never said anything about performance boosters or the like."

"Felicia, I know it's a legendary.  It actually is on my list of main objectives, though, and I don't think Mew would appreciate us ignoring it after we took such an interest in its activity.  Besides, I think I have an idea for how we might be able to get an edge in that battle...a small edge, but every advantage is worth considering, right?  And yeah, visiting the Merchant sounds like a good idea...I need to see if they know anyone who would be interested in that Balm Mushroom, after all...and that Stardust too, I guess.  All else fails, we can also just sell the items to them."

Time for her to prepare for trouble, for its barreling straight towards her at Mach 1... She also starts to have some misgiving about her future owner, if they made such a numbskull decision as to try and forcibly aquire the might of a Legendary. 'I just hope he lives up to his reputation, and not just another rich idiot...' Felicia though, before motioning for her compatriots to follow her into the ally ways. She lived there for over 20 years, and know exactly where to find that intrusive Merchant....

As Reiner pondered his bond? with Mew, he almost swears he could hear faint giggling from somewhere, but maybe the stress of meeting Mew was getting to him...

Ceoght wind uf thet bogger eh few time while Ai wes setting op shup, but seeing it op cluse is eh real treet! The Merchant offers to pay you the standard far for the Stardust, as while it was a rarity, it was not some form of deluxe community that everyone and there mum were craving for. The moment the Balm Mushroom came out, though, it was snatched from your hand almost instantly, as the robbed figure examine the item in question. Turning around, sniffing it, feeling its texture and poking it with a nail-which is blue coloured now, you notice, before nodding their head in sastifaction. "Ai, this is eh Balm Mushroom yue got here, stranga. Dun't knuw huw yue meneged tu get eh huld uf soch eh extremely valuable halucogenetic shroom, but yue did if me eyes eren't deceiving me. The mysterious figure makes a wounded gesture with the hand holding your prize, kneeling over and shaking their head. "Wou is me, woe is me! Then they immediantly righted themselves back into their former position, letting out that chuckle again as the waggled their finger at you. "Hahehaheha, I'm just kidding, stranga! Yue cen even mix them with Alcohol to duble its effects, if yue REALLY need to kill tha agnory. Uf curse, you'll liable to Poison yueself thet wey, but an Antidote cen clear op thet instantly. Alung with tha benefits, but hey, et least yue nut puking yuer guts out!"

Second is Stimulet called Turbo. Gives yue soch heightened perception sum might sey time sluws down on yue, end mekes yue fester es well! When it weres uff, though, yue cen feel it fer quite eh while, but other then thet their ere nu uther short term side effects. Perfect fer a battler soch es yuerself, eh? The Pain Killers will cost yue $1250 , while tha Turbo cust $2500 Poke. Costly, but yue git yuer muney's wurth with these items!"

Pain Killers
Cost: $625 Poke
Effect: Ignore all Pain modifiers for the rest of the scene, as well as prevent Flitching in the target. No side effects from short term use, so its literally a pain free solution!  When combined with Alcohol, though, its (the booze) effects are doubled, but I roll 3D6 to determine whether or not you Poison yourself. Antidote clears up the effects, but also the positive upsides. It doesn't discriminate between good and bad chems, it just neutralizes them!
Uses: 30 Pills, but each has to be used on the Pokémon to be effective, rather that just the trainer.

Turbo
Cost: $1250 Poke
Effect: Reduce the cost of Multiple action by 1 for each action. Example: 5 actions now cost 4/5/6/7/8 , instead of the usual. It also temporarily raises DEX by 1 , to make it even easier to abuse this. There is a step cost, though. After 3 Rounds, the effect wears of, all Multiple actions costs will increase by 1 , and single actions lose their accuracy bonus for 3 Rounds; DEX drops back to normal. Antidotes can't touch these negative effects, so your out of luck!
Uses: 2, only needs to affect the trainer to work.

"Hmmm...you drive some hard bargains...but reasonable ones nonetheless.  Alright, $2500 for the information on the Balm Mushroom buyer.  I'll also take one of those Turbos, 2 X Attacks, 2 X Defenses, and 2 X Speeds.  And you can have the Stardust for $1500 to help cover the cost.  (A total cost of $6400!  Whew!)"

Lots of boosting items there...good thing that Balm Mushroom would more than cover what he needed for his money collection quota once he found that buyer.  Reiner was determined to not screw this battle with Mew up if he could avoid it.

The Merchant let out that characteristic crackle of thiers, taking the Stardust and all their Poke on hand, before handing back $200 Poke. "Uf cuorse I du, stranga! I wuld be out uf biz if I didn't knuw huw me trade wurks, especially since I specialize in 'll surts uf illegel items! Hehahehahe! Nuw, I'll tell yue whu will boy this shroom uf yuers-oh, here yue gu by tha wey," they said, handing back the Balm Mushroom to you, their interest in the object now diminished since they were not going to be the one receiving it. "Elright, I've kept yue in suspense lung enough: Its Erika, the bloody Gym Leader of Celadon City! Would yue believe thet, under thet prim and pruper demeanor, leys eh herd cure drug user? Heard she gut intu 'll surt of 'herbal treatments' and 'natural medicines' to deal with tha stress of being nut only eh Gym Leader, but tu maintain thet image she has without strangling people in eh daily besis! She's eh a functional addict by nuw, eble tu fonctiun in society just fine while doped op, but still needs eh steady stream uf plants to keep her wired end sane. Thet there Balm Mushroom is her absolute favorite, end she'll du just abut anything tu get her hends on one, be it coughing op loads uf dough, eny nomber of favors fer, or...other things thet might please yue. Corner her and show this beby discretely, end yue'll heve her eating out uf yuer hends, hehahehahea!!!'

After they relayed this fascinating bit of information to you, the Merchant reaches into their shroud and pulled out all the X Items, put each pair of capsles in their own little baggies (For easy storage and access!), and then carefully took out and held the Turbo out for you to grab. "Like eh seid, this be eh useful item, but it pecks eh mean ponch uf its own in exechenge. Cerefol with it nuw."

"Alright, thank you.  Pleasure doing business with ya again.  However, before I take my leave...would you be interested in a little bit of sparring?  Nothing serious, just a little practice.  I'd like to be able to get the most out of that Carbos ASAP (only need 4 exp to level Dex to 3!), after all, and I'm certain the practice would do us both a lot of good.  And I don't exactly have time to spare to look for random battles, either...the choice is all yours, though.  I won't force ya into it."

A certain maniac gleam appeared in the Merchant's eyes at when you said the words 'a little bit of sparing', and you were immediantly regreting saying such a mad thing to the nutty sale person, but it was too late: you got them interested. "Oh," they said, their thick accent gone with the wind now, replaced with a smooth tone that more promenantly belayed the feminity behind it, "You want to go a round with me, if I'm hearing correctly? Hehehehe....I'm amenable to such a proposal. Need a bit of practice myself, make sure I have not gone soft since my last bout of violence.
