(4)(5)(4)(4)(3)(3)(3)(5)(2)(5)(2)(2)(1)(1) + 2 = 7 successes
The casing for the arm turns out wonderfully. A downright masterpiece. One would almost mistake it for a real hand if it weren't obviously made of lightweight metal. With that roll, some designs can also be etched into it if desired to customize it a little.
Next is the wiring and circuitry, which is where Kee's PC Science comes in. The Neuro Sensors need to be put in place so that Kogeki's actually able to feel what he's touching with that mechanical hand, and everything needs to be wired correctly for the arm to function for long periods of time without needing crucial maintenance.
Circuitry Roll:
4 Intelligence + 3 Knowledge + 2 PC Science + 1 Notes = 9 D6 + 1
(5)(1)(3)(3)(3)(5)(2)(5)(6) + 1 = 5 successes
While the circuitry isn't quite as amazing as Randolph's work on the casing, the notes that Randolph got from Nurse Joy do help Kee with lining all the wires up appropriately. The end result is a prosthetic arm that should do the job perfectly, and it'll look really good while doing it, too!
Finally, it's Nurse Joy's turn. Now that the prosthetic is done, it needs to be attached to Kogeki's arm, with all the wires hooked up in the correct places so that it receives and sends signals to the ninja's nervous system correctly.
Nurse Joy's Medicine Check:
*rolls*
Nurse Joy hasn't done this before, so she has to double check her own notes a few times during the process, but she gets the job done.
Success! Kogeki now has a mechanical hand instead of a wooden one, and it functions mostly like a normal hand, too!
With that finished, I do believe it's time to move on to the encounters! I'll have those posted soon.
*Flashback!*
".....Ha ha ha ha ha! Durch meine Werkzeuge, Hände, Metall und Schweiß habe ich einen Arm geschmiedet, um sie alle zu schlagen! Schätze, die Kälte hier hat mich doch nicht ganz in den Tiefkühlzustand versetzt! Wunderbar, wirklich wunderbar! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!"
Translation: By my tools, hands, metal, and sweat, I've forged a arm to beat them all! Guess the cold 'round here hasn't entirely put me touch on the deep freeze after all! Wonderful, truly wonderful!
Thus was spoken by Ran as he put the last painstaking touches on the prosthetic he built through no small amount of effort or cursing, grinning as he finished the custom etching on it as requested by the device's soon to be recipient and clearing his tools before lifting up the arm with both and inspecting it with a careful and satisfied eye.
"This'll blow them ninja booties right off Kogeki, once he gets a gander at this beaut, ha ha! He won't find this wanting in the slightest, that's for sure! Unless Kee or the Nurse botches things on their end, but that'll be their shoddy Craftsmanship at fault and NOT me own, so I ain't going to take any blame for THAT and have plenty to give them along with the ninja, bah! Enough that, though! Now's the time to hand this over to Kee, so he can do his part of the job, and by the Lake Trio he better not be the one to ruin MY masterpiece!"
Fastforward to Kee and Nurse finishing up the Robo Prosthetic and hooking it up to Kogeki, and the bristly blacksmith is positively beaming as they test out their new arm, looking mighty proud of himself while Beethoven on his shoulder plays the New Super Mario Classic Victory Theme to voice the overall feeling of TRIUMPH and ACCOMPLISH that the miniscule duo are feeling!
"Well well, it sure fits ya like one of your gloves, don't you say? Ha ha! S'Long as you don't go swing it 'round and using it as club it'll do right by ya for an age, so ya better take good care of it now, 'cause you ain't getting a replacement or easy maintenance in the right snowy mess we're heading into! Got it? Now, tell me, how do you like your new arm, Kogeki?"
(Reactions time, mates! I'll pick an Encounter and post about it later, once everyone else has made a decision as to what they want to duke it out with!)

When the process ended in attach Kogeki new arm, he was left speechless. He was already in ecstasy in see such magnificent job, worth of a master blacksmith. He feel the new metallic fingers, and was amaze by such art piece. "It...it feels like my real original hand...I don't have to hide my hand anymore…"
He approach Kee, Nurse Joy and Randolph, and he kneel before then. "I simply love the new arm Master Rans...I don't know what to say but...thank you. All you three for helping me get a new arm...and it's barely see a artificial one. This looks like a real one. I forever grateful for you three for such amazing gift...I will repay the favor someday Master Rans, Master Kee and Master Joy."
Then Kogeki stand up, and offer a handshake to Randolph. "I will take care of this arm. You can count with that my friend."

Everyone now finished with their preparations, Lucas meets everyone by the path to Acuity Lakefront. Strangely, the wind that was picking up earlier has vanished entirely. The hail is falling much more gently now.
"Alright, time to set out! Due to the abundance of Snover that live in the area, those who travel down Routes 216 and 217 are always on the receiving end of a ton of Hail. Hope you guys are prepared to deal with that. I don't personally have any Ice types in my chosen team of six pokemon, but I'm reasonably confident I can end most battles before the Hail becomes a problem in the long term for obvious reasons. It'll probably take us around two days to slog through the snow on both Routes, but there's a rest stop at the end...or I guess start in this case...of Route 216, so this shouldn't be too difficult to manage."
----------------------------------------------------------
The group passes through Acuity Lakefront with no issues at all. No wild pokemon jump them. The snow's falling quietly. It's quiet. Maybe a little too quiet.
No apparent reasons for why the wild pokemon aren't showing present themselves, however, and the group is able to reach the entrance of Route 217 in record time.
Route 217
Music: Route 216 (Day) Remix by Pokeli
The group is entering Route 217 from its northern side and will be making their way south.
The long, straight Route is simple. A large snowfield is in the middle, the snow so deep that it's difficult to walk through. Most trainers come prepared with snow shoes, winter clothing, skis, snowboards, and more if they intend to brave the harsh blizzards created by the local Snover and the winds that blow down from Mount Coronet's upper reaches.
Wild pokemon are most common at the end (read: start) of the Route, where the Tall Grass is. The rest of the Route is usually filled with either trainers looking to train or items hidden in the snow, though the rare wild pokemon will sometimes stray into the deeper snow if they're prepared for the cold.
Octavia, being an eeveelution, is particularly attuned to sensing evolutionary energy. She can't help but shiver, as there's a Frozen Rock nearby that some trainers will specifically adventure out here to find in order to evolve their Eevee into Glaceon.
Lucas recalls old experiences as the group starts traversing the Route. "I'll never forget the first time I reached the end of this Route. It was cold, my pokemon were exhausted...and I'd heard very little of the rumors about one of the houses that the locals like to spread about one of the houses here. Apparently, they think it's haunted! I was a little skeptical of that myself at first, having met a kind, elderly lady in it when I'd checked it out on the way to Snowpoint for the first time. But the place was completely abandoned when I decided to pay the place another visit later, after hearing the rumors. I could swear that someone was living there when I first checked it out, though, given that I still have the Spell Tag that the elderly lady gave me on my first visit. Maybe the place is haunted after all..."
"Oh, and that other house you can barely see through the falling snow and hail, in the middle of the Route? The guy who lives there once lost a TM for Hail in the snow. I found it and tried to return it to him, but he insisted I keep it since I went to the effort of finding it. I hear he loses things all the time, to be honest."
However, before any of the significant landmarks can be reached, the group must pass through the large patch of tall grass.
Amethyst's Pressure scares away most of the weaker wild pokemon, but extra tough ones are completely unaffected by it. In fact, Amethyst perks up just moments before a loud CRRRRRAAAAASSSSSHHHHH!!! is heard, followed by the roar of a large bear pokemon! A bunch of wild pokemon suddenly spill out of the trees as a gigantic Ursaring barrels out of the woods!
...and they're all headed towards the group!! Looks like they've got a few fights on their hands! Fortunately, the stampede has enough space to divide all the encounters into individual battles, and Amethyst doesn't run off towards any of them in particular. Unfortunately, it's also splitting the group up! Three of the non-unlimited encounters must be chosen at a minimum, with a maximum of 2 trainers per encounter, and Ursaring is mandatory.
1. Ursaring*
Difficulty: Hard
Cap: 2 (1)
Note: Mandatory. This Ursaring is causing a large ruckus, knocking over trees, making loud noise, and generally being super belligerent.
2. Machoke
Difficulty: Moderate
Cap: 2 (1)
3. Medicham
Difficulty: Moderate (rerolled)
Cap: 2 (1)
4. Noctowl*
Difficulty: Hard
Cap: 2 (1)
Note: It was sleeping in a tree, but Ursaring's actions have caused it to wake up. If this encounter isn't taken, it will join the Ursaring encounter.
5. Glalie
Difficulty: Hard (rerolled)
Cap: 2 (1)
Note: Also typically nocturnal, and woken up by the Ursaring. Same as with Noctowl, it'll join the Ursaring encounter if this one isn't taken.
Unlimited: Snover, Sneasel, Swinub (even with Pressure in play, there's still some of these super common pokemon hanging around among all the stronger ones)
A note concerning Lucas: he won't typically join in on encounters unless asked to. If he's asked to join an encounter (and he can only be in one encounter per set), it halves any exp you gain from it (as his pokemon gain exp as well), but you gain a powerful ally to help make it easier! He'll typically only use one pokemon at a time if there isn't a large amount of opponents, and he also counts for the cap of the encounter. If Lucas is not participating in any encounters, he can respond to someone calling for help and bail them out of a sticky situation (but again, it'll halve the exp earned from the encounter). Lucas can also deal with non-mandatory encounters all by himself if asked, but that takes up his encounter slot for the set, so he can't help out anyone else if he does that.
Kogeki was quiete most of the time, still amaze by the art of his new arm. He was so much happy his state of spirit was only broke when the Ursaring appear and go towards the group! Kogeki quickly run towards the big bad bear, and release both Izanagi and Shenzi. "I take care of Ursaring! You people take care of any other Pokemon who might join in the fight! I show that beast how we ninjas of Tsukinami do!"
Izanagi was showing his orb of flames, ready to deliver flames of jugdment over that foolish bear. Shenzi snarl towards its enemy. They are ready to face the dangerous enemy!

Ran had the decency and enough of a modecrum of modesty to look a bit bashful when the newly made cyborg ninja started kneeling before him, and was quick to motion for them to rise.
"Oy, oy, Cut that out, Kogeki. I ain't no feudal lord ya need to bow down to, that's for damn certain. Just a top notch blacksmith, and the most ornery son of a bitch you'll ever meet, ha! Still.....glad you love the arm, 'cause whole lot of work went into it to get it in THAT fine of a condition. And if you want to repay me, do it by taking care of your new arm and keeping me from losing any attachments of mine on this schadenfreudeTASTIC trip of ours. Okay?"
The dwarven craftsman accepts Kogeki's handshake and sharing with them another grin as he firmly returns it!
"It's a deal then, and you'll be damn sure I'll hold you to your end!"
*Flashback End!*
Encounterwise, Randolph lets loose a few growls of his own when that Urasring comes barreling out of the woods and raising all kinds of cain, clenching a fist while resting his other hand on the flank of Amethyst.
"Looks like me guess 'bout this job being a wild and dangerous experience was spot on, like the patterns of Spinda and early as Hoothoot. Verdammt großartig. "
When the sly sleuth and his cadre charged off to deal with the big bad bear while Kee and Karen took care of the Noctowl and Galie woken up by the brown beast's racket, the midget miner grumbled a bit about his partners 'taking all the good fights, bah!' , before his eyes settled and hardened on a Medicham a little ways off watching the ongoing disaster with indifference. With a quick jab towards them, he boldly declared his intention to his dark prophet: "Amethyst, we're going to wear out that Medicham! Let's get a'moving, on the double!"
(Will Flashback to him responding to Lucas later! Until then, it's Amethyst time to shine like her nameshake, or so me and Ran hope!)

Kogeki get ready to fight his foe. He unshreat his sword, just in case Ursaring aim him to attack. "Nagi, I think we should put that bear a good night sleep. Hypnosis! Then go with Hidden Power Fire and Dream Eater! But in case Ursaring wake up, use Psywave instead!"
"Shenzi! Scary Face to reduce Ursaring speed! Show him how much scary you can be! Then go with Fire and Thunder Fangs!*
Kogeki also prepared 2 Quick Balls to be used on Ursaring when he fall sleep and received Shenzi Paralyzed effect with Flinch of her fangs.
Hypnosis: Insight (3)+Contest(3)+Allure(3)-Accuracy(4)-Difficulty(2)= 3D6+1(Using Will Point)
Effect: Put target to sleep. Gain priority due to Prankster.
Hidden Power(Fire): Special(3)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Difficulty(4)=5d6
Damage: Power(4)+Special(3)+STAB(1)=8D6
Effect: Can create sunny day effect. Also boost by Prankster.
Dream Eater: Special(3)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Difficulty(6)=3D6
Damage: Power(4)+Special(3)=7d6
Effect: Half Damage become heal. Only work on sleep targets. In case Ursaring awake, Psywave instead.
Scary Face: Tough(5)+Contest(3)+Intimidate(3)-Difficulty(2)=9D6
Effect: Reduce foe Dex in 2 stages.
Fire Fang: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Brawl(4)-Accuracy(1)-Difficulty(4)=6D6
Damage: Power(2)+STR(4)+Sunny Day(1)=7D6

Thunder Fang: Dex(4)+Fight(3)+Brawl(4)-Accuracy(1)-Difficulty(6)=4D6
Damage: Power(2)+STR(4)=6D6
Effects: Same as Fire Fang, but cause Paralysis instead. Same plus of Shell Bell.
Conditional orders: Kogeki will use 2 Quick Ball to try capture Ursaring in this first Round when he fall asleep. Quick Ball strength is 8 in the first round, so that's something. In case Shenzi or Nagi get baddly injured, Potion. Don't forget Leftovers effect.

(Alright, back to finishing off the Flashbacks! Been busy with projects, as even during my Fall break I can't catch a break, ironically enough!)
*Flashback!*
Ran lets out a light scoff at the young champ's warning, waving them off unworried and looking quite sure of himself and his partners.
"Bah, the Weather out here isn't going to send me scurrying back to the Center, whether it be the frosty or metaphorical kind of Hail! Got a couple of Ice types in my Jynx Catherine and my Snover Borealis with me that'll thrive in these blighted white washed conditions, and my Torkoal Brigid can brighten things up if the cold climes start wearing on me and my patience, so I'm ready to forge on ahead. If we need to pick up the pace, Brigid and my Skuntank Catherine - if she can be arsed, hmpt - and the rest of our merry band's Fire types can literally blaze a trail through all this cold mush, so I ain't too worried about how long it takes us to get to Mt. Coronet, so long as we get there in one piece. *Huffs* That, and I can just bring out my Skarmory Stymph from Storage and fly myself to our next destination if these Routes, the freezing infernal Weather, and whatever cruel trickery that Tarous shit supernatural force gets on my nerves one too many times. "
(....)
"Lad, normally I'd say you're over-romanticizing your past a wee bit if you're starting to buy into those Ghastly rumors, but after our foray into the Temple and the whole mess that we uncovered and the current crisis that's happening, I'm more inclined than ever to say nothing's too Farfetch'd . If that house turns out to be haunted if we visit it, it doesn't seem to be of the malicous kind from what you've experience, so I ain't going to waste time dwelling on it. Least, not until something gives me reason to, bah....."
He doesn't have anything to say about the loose fingered oaf living around here other than an a unkind comment of "If a man can't keep a hold or track of his property, then he deserves to lose it, I say." Then the Ursaring near Ambushes the party, and their clash against nature commences!
* Flashback End! Now onto Ran's Fight against Medicham!*
The midget miner lets out an irritated *Tsk* when he realizes the martial telekinetic was just a bit more spry than Amethyst, forcing him to be more aggressively than he liked when he issuing his Orders.
"Amethyst, watch Medicham carefully. If they look like they're about to leap at ya with a Jump Kick or Hi-Jump Kick, raises your Shields or Dodge it, whichever you think works best. Otherwise, nail them with before they know what happened, and keep hammering them fast and hard from there! Finish this battle fast, girl, or they'll be the one to close things out, and we don't want that to happen this early on!"
Orders: First Action of Amethyst depends on what Medicham does first. If they try either a Jump Kick or Hi-Jump Kick, she'll use a Conditional Will-Point Detect to hopefully block it and force some nasty Recoil Damage onto her opponent, or a Conditonal Will Point Evasion if she personally thinks that the better play. If they would use an Attacking Move (and Amethyst would easily be able to tell, since Medicham is acting first and they're especially vigilant), then she'll use Sucker Punch instead as her first Action. If they use a Non-Damaging Move, then she'll Bite them to hopefully Flinch them out of their next Action.
Second and Third Action are pretty set in stone - Quick Attack (If they haven't used Sucker Punch; if not, then SP 2nd) and either Bite (If it hasn't already been used) , Quick Attack (If Bite has been used and therefore Quick Attack hasn't), or Assurance (If they've taken Damage before using their 3rd Action). Ran will have a Potion ready for them to use ASAP upon them losing 3 HP or more and they're holding his Leftovers, so they should be fine when it comes to HP. Let's pray that the yoga master doesn't tie the dark prophet into a pretzel by the end of their bout, or Ran will REALLY get his rage on and send out the big guns!
EDIT: Due to Sucker Punch turning out to be more flaky than I'd envisioned , Ran would realize the fault of his plan and send out Catherine ASAP to hastily patch up the glaring weakness of it and have her lend some charming support to help her furry partner not get too many bruises!
Sucker Punch is being dropped entirely for Bite as the default First Action (If Hi-Jump Kick or similar isn't aimed at Amethyst, which is going to be Detected/Evaded instead), then Quick Attack or Bite (Depending on the First Action) and Pursuit or Quick Attack as her last Action (Again, depending on if QA or Bite is used by this point). Catherine will start out with a nice Lovely Kiss upon the yoga fighter to send them to dreamland, then follow up Sweet Kiss to REALLY mess with their feelings, Lick as the 3rd Action to tease them a bit more, and finally Draining Kiss to make them weak in the knees! Alright, let's get the show on the road, mates!
Moves:
Quick Attack
Accuracy: Either 5D6 or 3D6 Base Dice, depending on when it's used
Damage: 5D6 Base Damage
Effect: *Priority 1*
Bite
Accuracy: Either 7D6 or 5D6 Base Dice, depending on when it's used
Damage: 6D6 Base Damage
Effect: *Flinch 3*
Pursuit
Accuracy: 3D6 Base Dice
Damage: Same as Bite's
Effect: If Medicham tries to flee, then this Move gains + 2 Damage Dice and + 1 Priority
Detect/Evasion
Accuracy (Detect): Insight (4) + Survival (4) + Alert (3) - 2 Action = 9D6 Base Dice
Accuracy: Evasion: 7D6 Base Dice
Effect: Either Shield Move or just Dodge out of the way, if successful
Lovely Kiss
Accuracy: Beauty (3) + Contest (3) + Intimidate (3) - 3 Accuracy - 2 Actions = 4D6 Dice + Conditional Will Point
Effect: Zzzzzz.....
Sweet Kiss
Accuracy: Cute (4) + Contest (3) + Allure (3) - 3 Accuracy - 4 Actions = 3D6 Base Dice
Effect: Confuse Target!
Lick
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - 6 Actions = 2D6 Dice
Damage: 3D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: *Paralyze 3*
Draining Kiss
Accuracy: Insight (4) + Contest (3) + Allure (3) - 8 Actions = 2D6 Base Dice
Damage: 6D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: Restore HP by 1/2 Damage dealt (Min. 1), Contact Move

Something about the strong wind having stopped and it being so quiet around all of a sudden is giving Kee a rather bad and ominous feeling, as if this was only the infamous calm before the storm. Eh... He smirks to himself though over Lukas' advice of being prepared for that, having snatched not one, not two, but a whole batch of Safety Googles - it's a slight pity they're not especially working on people; but as long as his Pokemon are fine and protected, he's good.
Strolling through Lake Acuity is giving him some shivers that have nothing to do with how cold it is today.
Even more so does the completely white field ahead, the snow's so deep and high the the colorful musician doubly appreciates having two Fire Types with him at the moment. Young and smol ones, but their flames within are burning with potential that he just has to tickle to the surface by proper care and training. To start with, he keeps his new toxic lizard out to have him melt the snow blocking the area to a degree with well-placed Embers, Octavia eagerly pushes whole chunks of snow away with her Psyshocks. Kee is quick to notice her excitement over a Frozen Rock being nearby. "We have neither the time nor the equipment to go and see it now though, dear." She still can't help but to throw her head into direction of the Rock more often than not. She's silently amazed over the winter wonderland around just like her Master, being used to mild and snowless winters from home.
Kee's so busy with both hating and admiring the snowy landscape that he's only half-listening to Lukas, but his attention is nicely caught as a huge bear makes their presence known by throwing a massive tantrum just because. "Looks and acts more aggressive than a usualy Ursaring - something must have happened that's making them so wild. And SOMEONE would do good to calm it again by powering it out via a good battle..." Octavia bristles her fur and waves her ribbons, then suddenly ducks as a big Noctowl flies just inches overhead! She hisses at them.
"...And that 'someone won't be me because a Noctowl found me beforehand. Well, alright... Let us try to make it fast and painless, big owl, so that you can get back to slumbering until nightfall. Come, Draven and Stella!~" It's time to let some poison burn the foe; quite literally even as the moment Kee's Vulpix has gotten in a fighting-ready position, the sun high above becomes bright and shining. His toxic catbat blinks at it and overly looks like he's very eager to get some action!!
