[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Dizzy trots out the door ahead of Shiva and vanishes into the city's dawn.

She does pause in things to wave him a light goodbye, no worry visible or sensible on her as she's positive she'll see the Infiltrator again. That also means that the sliced berries are removed and only Dry Food and a bowl of water remain for him in case he returns and Shiva isn't there.

It is now Day 65.

Weather is reported to be mild all across the region.

The Zigzagoon are out and about in Cress City, pursuing tasks important only to themselves.

Terra arouse early in the morning, getting up from his bed and giving it a semi-forlorn look before shaking his head and went to take a shower. Sleeping on something besides cold, hard ground was a luxury for mountain of a man given his lifestyle, but he had a busy day ahead of him, so no snoozing through the morning for him. It was also a nasty habit (Sleeping in) that shouldn't be encouraged, so all the more reason to get a head start of the day!

After he dried off and got dressed, he went downstairs to grab some simple breakfast from the cafeteria (Plain Oatmeal with sliced fruit, and a large glass of black tea), before heading to the lobby to eat and wait on Shiva for their arranged battle.....

With a freshly filled cup of hot coffee Shiva takes her place in the Lobby, she's mostly waiting for Terra to appear so that they can discuss their condictions for the battle, she can arrange her team at Bill's PC, and then to head out to the outskirts of town for their battle, at best near a road/Route or in Celebi Park. The waiting time is passed with playing with Vaporeon and Raphael using a bright red feather of a Delibird. (I have no idea if Terra knows the species of Vaporeon or would recognize Raphael)

Mechanics:
Whenever you're ready to initiate the Introductory Battle, Windos. Yes, this battle will take a while to be rolled out and such (probably a few days), but I'm actually highly curious what direction it'll go. Let us try to make it an enjoyable and fruitful battle with interactions/sharing things or stories between the Rounds for both our charas, shall we?~

EDIT: I've carried the conditions we discussed together into a small list.

…Only to find her already there waiting for HIM, causing the herculin man to blink a couple of times in surprise. Usually, he's the first one up and waiting on others (on the rare occasion he's a part of a group), but nope, there she is, drinking coffee and enjoying the company of blue fish fox Pokémon he's never seen before and....Raphael? That got Terra to briefly raise an eyebrow - that was one of his boss' most trusted and beloved Pokémon, so what was it doing here....?

In the end, he just shrugged it off ('Ven must have good reason for giving their archangel to his girlfriend, so I will not worry or....pry.') and went over to sit with the young lady, carrying his breakfast and softly setting it down on the table before digging in straight into it. It was the most important meal of the day, so discussion small talk come secondary to it. 


However, that doesn't mean that he wasn't paying to Shiva - on the contrary, he looked up her for a moment, before motioning for her to speak while he resumes eating, as he got a gut feeling she wanted to discuss some important things with him....maybe about the battle. Don't know, but he's going to find out what soon if that was true or not.

Tanuki courtseys back to Gallade, though she's not wearing a skirt.

"I'm glad you were successful. Dagny said it was a very important mission. And it's really...um...important? for a trainer to have chances to grow. Mt. Sentry is our traditional grounds when we want to challenge ourselves, as you probably already know. Did you meet many rare or strong Pokemon?"

"Yup, definitely met some rare and strong pokemon.  Also met a few Legends if you can believe that.  Though one of them..."

Gallade frowns.

"...let's just say that we wouldn't recommend sticking around for very long if you see a lot of bug pokemon in the same area deep underground.  Quite frankly, we're really lucky that nobody...uh...became bug food, to be blunt."

"Oh, wow, I think I probably should know all about that. Tell!"

.....Ah, there he was!~ Being semi-watchful over who and what sorts of people came and left the Lobby, Shiva certainly did notice Terra arriving. Well, eh, even if she wouldn't pay attention it'd probably be hard to impossible to miss him unless he'd deliberately try to not be noticed. She does meet his gaze to her with a friendly one of her own, Vaporeon totally explots this moment of distraction to SNATCH that scarlet feather out of Shiva's hand with her paws as if it was a yummy Red-Striped Basculin, then began to confidently chew on it while being curled up right there on the table. She gives the arriving man a neutral look, not hostile at all but not very interested either, as long as he won't steal her prey she'll be friendly to him.

Shiva on the other hand graced Terra with a mild smile as took a seat at her table, as if to silently say 'welcome!'. She's not very prone of long discussions or such in the mornings either, so she doesn't speak up herself until he gives her the signal that it was fine to do so. His brief wondering about Raphael she noticed, but she let it be - she's wouldn't enjoy having to justify herself why Raphael is with her like with Nathan yesterday evening. However, does Raphael himself recognize Terra or otherwise react to him in a way that'd indicate that he saw him already, @Lord Windos or @Iron? That's something Shiva would definitely pick up.

"G.... good morning then!", she eventually did speak up. "Good to see you already. I'm usually not up that early either, but I, eh, guess I've had enough rest for now." She looked half tired still, though. "How you're doing, did you sleep well? Are you....fine with having our agreed Pokemon Battle happening after breakfast still?"

After buying the say items (what is the cost of those two TM together @Iron?) Heart finally release Gargryph. "Good morning Gargryph. I have a gift for you. For your help in the battle of past day in the Skull Ruins." Then Heart show to him the TM-Protect and Sandstorm. "These is the TM-Protect and Sandstorm. With those together, you will get a great advantage against your foes. After you learn those two we will go training okay?"

The rugged wanderer catches the fishy fox's appraising stare with a look of his own, and held it for a beat, before they reach down on their tray, picked up a wedge of apple, and offered it to her. Just a simple kind gesture, to get to know that strange Pokémon a little better. He also returns the young lady's gaze with a small smile and nod of his head, then immediately resumed his breakfast.

He pauses for a moment to consider her questions, spoon in hand and another stroking his chin beard in thought as he stared down at his oatmeal, before he looked back up to her and slowly nodded his head.

"Good, and yes. Don't sleep in beds often, so my rest was extra....comfy. Ended up oversleeping.....sorry about that."

Terra rubs the back of his head, looking apologetic at early being 'tardy' for their battle, and then continued.

"Hmm....I am. I have my own rules for it, but if you have any.....suggestions, that would be fine with me too. Want battle to be challenging, but fair for us both. Okay?"

He gives her a calm, curious look as he finishes, and patiently awaits her response.

"Oh, wow, I think I probably should know all about that. Tell!"

"Well, the first Legend we encountered was actually at the point underground where it became absolutely frigid.  To the point where there was snow on the cave floor.  Partially due to the Snover that were hanging out there, but there was actual, freezing cold snow that far underground."

Nathan shivers just thinking about it.

"Most of the inhabitants there call the visible part of it The Sentry Fern.  It's this huge, tall fern that a lot of Grass pokemon have been tending for who knows how long.  And the Legend within is a member of the Legendary Titans.  You know, like Regirock, Registeel, Regice, and Regigigas.  I think that one's a Grass type or something, given that the whole thing was based around the gigantic fern.  The Sentry Fern monitors the entire mountain, it seems, makes sure everything is running smoothly...and choosing which guardians need to be woken up to impede the progress of anybody searching for Atheneum or anything else hidden away in the mountain.  I managed to recruit a Snivy that tended some of the roots there, and I also managed to get a good drawing of the Regi's dot pattern even though we never truly met the Legend face to face.  Kinda looks a little like a tree if you look at it long enough."

Nathan will show Tanuki said drawing for emphasis.

"The third Legend we met was in Atheneum itself.  That one was Celebi, and she was very, very helpful.  She's one of the Legends who founded Atheneum in the first place, and her power is what courses through the gauntlet shaped Relic Stone that's in the location's central plaza.  It was quite a blessing to meet her.  She didn't stick around for too long, but she answered a few of our questions."

"...the second one..."

Gallade frowns again.

"...that one...nearly killed some of us.  Her name is Seikamater, apparently.  According to Heart, she's a species of Legendary native to far away Tandor and...she's the queen of all bugs in that region, and can command at least five basic elements.  Shortly after we left the Sentry Fern's chamber, we entered a section of the caves that had all sorts of odd drawings of the Legendary Birds and other weird runes etched on the walls.  We found a place to camp...and when we woke up, all of our Bug pokemon, Psychic pokemon, and pokemon with very sensitive senses of smell were gone.  Their footprints lead deeper into the caves, and we were very, very quickly absorbed into a hive of Bug types of all kinds.  Durant, Leavanny, some bugs native to Tandor, Delta Pineco, Scizor...you name a Bug, and it's probably down there somewhere.  Seikamater was...controlling them, ordering them to do all sorts of mundane tasks and bring her food and such using her incredibly strong pheromones...once we got deep enough into the hive looking for our missing pokemon...those pheromones even started affecting us..."

"...we barely got out of there alive, all things considered.  She'd lured in and trapped our pokemon, outsiders visiting her hive...and if we hadn't saved them, they would have been...food..."

Gallade shudders uncomfortably.

"...she may be a Queen, but...she's not the kind of Queen I'd want to follow..."

Nathan goes quiet after recounting that tale.  Takes some deep breaths along with Gallade.

They're out, they're safe.  And they probably won't have to ever go that far down underground ever again.  There's little reason to worry about it now.

"...so, yeah...if you're ever in an area of Mt. Sentry that's swarmed by bug pokemon, you might want to keep a careful eye on any of your pokemon that are Bug type, Psychic type, or have a strong sense of smell, and get out of there at the soonest opportunity if they're not acting like themselves."

After finishing teaching Gargryph the moves, Heart decide to go in the direction of the Pokemon Shellter to make some important preparations. He ask the person responsable to the place and put a certain pokemon in the Shellter to learn to be more obedience: Delta Onix.

Now time for a battle! 800 Pokedollars in the pouch and ready to begin the say it battle! My currently party line is: Typhon, Gustav, Percival, Caesar, Gargryph and Golett. Its gonna be a double battle to be more quick. A total battle of 6x6. Its been a while Caesar have fight. Also, Natu gonna be in the PC for now.

Curiously inhaling the scent of fruit being close, Vaporeon did lightly uncurl from her place, and STARED at Terra after having recognized that she is being offered food. Hummmmm.... Could this mountain of a man be trusted? Was it safe to take a treat from him?? Her gaze wandered up to Shiva, who returned the waterly Eeveelution's look with a soft one of herself. It was as if she was non-verbally saying 'Yes, it is safe. Do not worry.' With a twitching tail Vaporeon eventually came a little closer, sniffed a little at first at Terra's hand and then at the wedge of apple, before she took a heartfelt bite of it, gave him a quiet 'Thank you', then curled up again to lick her paws a little. Fruit taste fine, but fish is definitely better! That or sea weed. Or whatever Master serves.

Shiva herself could only chuckle lightly over these antics. "She usually isn't up for much interactions, don't take it to your heart. Ah, but...." At Terra's opening that he 1. overslept and 2. doesn't sleep in beds often Shiva ended up STARING at him as well in wonder and confusion, also checking the time on her cell. "You don't have to be sorry! T..thanks for apologizing anyway, though... But really, it's fine. As said, usually I'm not up either that early. If you...well, don't sleep in beds often as you say, may I ask where and how you USUALLY sleep? I can't think of many other places where comfortable rest is possible, I grew up in my parent's place in a big city so even finding rest in the tent during our journey was difficult for me to get used to."

"If you're having own rules for the battle, please share them! And, ehm, yes, challenging but fair and enjoyable is very agreeable for me. Suggestions... How about a Full Team Battle, 6 Pokemon of yours against 6 Pokemon of mine? Would you also be up for....a Double Battle? I've developed the feeling that I usually do better in these than in Singles."
