[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery
Using Hime as a part of the persuasion attempt doesn't seem to be very effective, but some of the other reasons that Kogeki listed might be effective.

Empathy +1: (2)(6)(6)(6)(1)(6)(1)(6*) 4 successes
Will: (1)(6)(2)(6)(4)(3) 3 successes

Hime didn't seem particularly convincing, as Corphish already knows she's strong, and also feels like it had a good chance of beating her.

Lofty claims of powerful, Legendary adversaries don't seem to be convincing either.  They are opponents far out of the crab's league, and thus not particularly enticing opponents.

It's Kogeki's talk of a vast sea filled with a large variety of wildlife and talk of a clan that's mastered those waves that gives Corphish pause.  The chance to train in such an environment is an incredibly compelling reason for Corphish to reconsider.

The small, orange pokemon lowers its guard and approaches Kogeki.  It will join him, but only on the condition that it gets to see that amazing place with its own eyes.

Gotcha!  Delta Corphish was caught!
I'll post its stat block later today, when I have more time to write it out.

Kogeki gets 3 exp, and Hime gets 6.

The small, blue pokemon doesn't hesitate to accept Randolph's offer.  It clearly doesn't feel very safe around here.  She'd feel a lot better traveling with someone who's obviously competent and good natured.

Karen wraps up her encounter with Seaking.  It went well, so there won't be any major obstacles if Team K wishes to cross the waters.

Lucas returns from his scouting mission.  He didn't find any other immediate threats, thankfully. Scizor's also ready to continue after his Oran Berry break. Strangely, he seems to be fully healed despite eating only one of the blue berries.

And that wraps up everyone's encounters!  So, where to next?  Both teams can pick any direction they like so long as there's a path on the tile!

For Team K, they can either walk across the narrow path, or cross the water to explore the far shores (Gama knows Surf, and can thus get everyone across easily now that the wild pokemon are dealt with).

Scaling the cliffs won't be an issue for Randolph's team.  Lucas has pokemon with Waterfall, Rock Climb, and Fly, so the obstacle doesn't pose much of an issue.

Awww, that makes Kee dwell in the hug and simple closure of his kind and old dragon for a little longer, at one point he even seems to all quietly sob - or was it just imagination? Either way, after quickly rubbing his eyes with the sleeve of his hoodie he slowly breaks the hug and tells Orpheus that "Well, we should get goin' then, shall we? The longer we wait, the more it b'comes possible that MOAR ill-natured Pokemon jump at us.... Let'sa meet up with tha others again."

And so the dandylike rave-guy sends his new Mareanie to Bebe's PC for now, swaps Orpheus' held Item ("Guess ya don't need those Safety Googles down here, have this Chesto Berry 'nstead!~") and makes haste to find Kogeki and Karen again, giving the former a friendshippy pat on the shoulder and the latter a caring ruffle through her hair.

Where to go... Well, regardless Gama being able to take them across the water to those sidepaths, Kee prefers to stay on the path ahead. "Long corridors can mean two things: Either a dead end OR a room full of loot, I'm too curious to leave it unchecked." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The sea sprite's prompt acceptance of his offer brings forth another good nature chuckle from Ran, as he slowly reaches forward and kindly pats their head.

"Glad to have you with me. I'll come up with a more fitting name to call ya, but for now....welcome aboard my team, siren."

After that, he Catches her in a regular Pokeball, and elects to keep the smol siren with him for the time being in the party slot Zorn previously occupied. Normally he'd switch a more seasoned/experience Pokemon in to take the place one of his heavy hitters like the brutish drake, but something about this little blue finned sea lass reminds him of someone that brings him no small amount of comfort in his weary life, which he's in short supply of now in days. So for now, she stays!

When he meets up with Lucas/Sally, he'd ask for a quick report on what they ended up Encounter (+ anything else interesting they found), he /suggests/elects for his mini-group to keep going straight ahead. Best for them to keep going in the same direction until they can't, in order to minimize getting turned around and lost in this Mystery Dungeon!

Lucas: "Didn't find anything particularly interesting, honestly.  Just a Relicanth.  Seemed harmless.  Well, let's keep going if you've finished up here."

Randolph's group climbs the big cliff with the largest waterfall, created by the largest stream in the room.  They follow said stream into the next room of the dungeon...

*rolls*  (Huh.  Well, that's interesting.  Fun thing about Mystery Dungeons: even I don't know exactly what might happen until it does!)

*places tiles on map*

...which turns out to be a large, underground lake that's apparently the source of said stream.  Immediately, two things stand out as the group looks around.

1) The stairs are on the opposite shore, in the next room over!  *places stairs tile on the map, 1 tile away from the current one*

Randolph's group will need to cross the lake to reach the stairs.

2) An Espeon is looking out over the water from the near shore, standing protectively over a woman with orange, short, pig-tailed hair who's seemingly collapsed near the shoreline.  They look...out of place, to say the least.  It looks like Espeon is focused on the water's surface, facing away from everyone else, so it hasn't noticed the party yet.

Team K, meanwhile, also finds stairs!  Not the stairs to the next floor, however.  What they find appears to be a dock of some kind.

It seems a little rickety and is missing some boards, but the group is able to descend to the lower level of the dock, where it's close to the water's surface.

Light filters into the room from holes in the upper reaches of the cavern, making the room noticeably brighter than the previous ones.

That same light is also causing something to sparkle in the watery depths!  It could be treasure!  But the light also silhouettes a large, serpentine pokemon of some variety swimming in those same waters.  Sometimes, the light catches a few of the scales on its tail, causing them to sparkle too.

Seems like Kee was right on both counts: this is both a dead end and a treasure room!

Upon entering the room and seeing the waylaid woman, Ran's first instinct is to immediately rush over to see what in Heatran name happened to her and if they're okay, not paying the Stair any mind at the moment. He's halted in his tracks, however, once he sees the Espeon guarding her, letting out an audible "Grk!" and taking a few steps back, while Diam quickly peddles in front of him, looking unusually serious as she stared at the telepathic fox.  Given his less than favorable experiences and Knowledge with/or their species, including the time one tried to give him a terminal headache for trashing their Trainer, he has good reason for his sudden hesitation.

With that being said, the dwarven craftsman turns to Lucas/Sally and Scizors, a uneasy grimace plastered across his normally neutral/grumpy face.

"Err....would you two mind dealing with that Espeon first before we check out that ginger woman? I'm not too keen with messing with the purple kitty cat over there for....reasons, but we can't just ignore them and the woman. So....?"

Treasure, sweet and valuable treasure!~ Kee's immediately ensnarled by the beauty of this room they find themselves in, like a defenseless Patrat is ensnarled by a big and hungry Seviper. He STARES into the water, needless to say that he's eager to find out - and at best obtain a handful - WHAT is sparkling down there.

This...serpentine-like guardian(?) of this lake is quick to put a stop to that however simply by being there, so Kee turns towards Karen with a hopeful expression on his face: "No way in heck I'll let that...creature prevent me from stuff. Soooo dear Karen... *cue charming smile" ...Are ya able to tell whether this sea serpent's more of the hostile type or more of a peaceful type?~ D'pendin' on THAT we can think further what 't do ' bout it." He also brings out lovely Octavia to double-check on this creature's general nature.

Kogeki smile and talk to the Delta Pokemon. ''Welcome to the team Corphish. I going to my home region when this Coronet bussiness is all over, so I make to keep that promise. I also have the perfect Pokeball." Kogeki then take out the Luxury Ball. "A Delta Pokemon deserce a more fitting Pokeball."

When putting inside the Pokeball, Hime get close to Kogeki and hug him. "You were amazing Hime. You get stronger and stronger..." Kogeki then said. "...I bet Shimo would be proud of you. Because I am right now..." Kogeki could feel the heavy of those words but he decided to change the topic a bit. "Well...I gonna send to the PC right now okay? Give the message to professor Rowan alright? I promise to see you soon." Then Kogeki write the message to Professor Rowan about enter in contact to Tsukinami and ask either Mera, or someone else Kogeki know in Tsukinami to send a Tandormon from there to act a exchange for Karen Alpico.

Kogeki also put in her place Hazel the Monferno.
