Before he approach the Splash Plate, he release Gama from his pokeball, and better check the item. He decided to test something. He let Gama carry the Splash Plate. "Feel something different Gama? Lets try use Water Shuriken somewere and see what happens. Three Water Shuriken should do the job."

Kogeki quiet listen bout everything, with Byron be from the past. He kinda suspect he was someone like that. "If I may Lucas, I have a Cleffa with me who knows Wish and Heal Pulse." Dragonstrike, it is possible for Cleffa use Wish and heal everyone, just like Dawn Cleffable did to heal everyone when Kogeki, Rowan and her make the first adventure in Coronet?
Kogeki also check Hazel and Heracross to make sure they are okay. And return then to their Pokeballs.
The silence was broke when Onix appear once more. When such creature appear, he grab his sword, and was ready to attack that Onix, no matter how much wound he is. However, it was not necessary Onix leave to them a Plate and a Egg. He was left surprised too, but not to much as Rans. The silent returned, and then Kogeki approach his dwarf friend and touch his shoulder.
"I dont know what story you have with Onix, but I can see its a pretty heavy one. But, if Onix leave such items behind, there is a reason. I will take that Plate if you dont mind. I can felt a great power coming from it. I believe you gonna take that Egg. If you need my help and want to talk, dont hesitate in ask me Master...I mean, friend Randolph."
Kogeki said such words to his friend and pat in his shoulder to bring him back to reality and then approach the Splash Plate. Is Gama already recovered from his last battle? Because if yes, I gonna change my party, and send Hazel, Heracross and Izanami back to the PC to receive medical treatment in the Pokemon Center. Gama, Ed and Shenzi is the choose Pokemon to replace them.
Ran shuddered when Kogeki rested his hand on him, his head panning towards the ground, hiding his face, and his own mitts balled up into fists. A few tears fell down as he took everything in, before he took a quivering breath and nodded his head once.
".....Thank you, Kogeki. I.....appreciate it. Think...I think I'll be alright for now. But....can you....give me a moment to......collect myself....? ....Please."
Regardless of their decision, Paula decides at this point to do something about cherished partner's distress over these trying events and revelations, waddling over to his side to share with him a warm smile and a soothing song.
Hush hush, dear master, please don't cry.
You're nightmare's gone, beaten back into the dark, so be happy and rejoice with us all.
The past is buried, the future unclaimed, but today, today is yours.
Diam too soon releases herself from her Ball to crouch by her partner, a frown adorning her bejeweled visage as she reached down to gently clasp one of his fist with her claws. Her ghostly senses and bond with Ran alerted the mischievous imp that something was amiss with him ever since he confronted those carbon fiends, but refrained from butting in until now when he was at his weakest. She didn't know what was troubling him, for he seldom share his woes with anyone, but that didn't matter. She was here for him, like away, day by day, year by year....
Eventually but quicker than he though, the bristly blacksmith got himself together, drying the rest of his tears with his sleeve and standing back up expressionless. Never the less he gave thankful nods to his partners and Kogeki, before he walked over to the Egg and picked it up. He stared at it, like it had all the answers in the known universe, until he slowly shook his head.
".....This doesn't begin to make up what you took from me that day. From everyone. ......But its a start. It's....a start."
For now, Ran's going to hold onto his Coal Onix Egg without balling it. He'll make an Incubator for it later, when he has the chance.
Beyond any response from Byron and any last business between the group (mainly dealing with healing, but also the Azure Flute if Lucas is going to ask about it after Byron leaves), I suppose its time for the mini-group to get a Move on to back to the section of the Mystery Dungeon more connected to Mt. Coronet than the Orebourgh Mines.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

"Ha! Guess it isn't just the past you that I need to worry about! Hahahaha!"
Byron's laughter echoes through the quiet mine after the Coal Onix leaves. Eventually, he coughs and changes topic.
"Seems likely that Coal Onix wasn't the one behind all that trouble after all, though. I'll do what I can for your past self. I just hope you'll be able to forgive me eventually for what that may entail. By Dialga's glory, time travel is seriously weird business...anyways, who says this a Mystery Dungeon? Looks and feels like the mine I know and love, and I'm gonna keep treating it that way until it isn't, so I'll take my chances! See y'all round! Or...soon in some cases, I guess."
Lucas waves Byron goodbye as the gym leader turns around and begins walking off with a hand raised in farewell. Randolph can definitely see that Byron's using his shovel as a makeshift crutch, and that he probably picked up the habit of using it as such from encounters just like this one...
On the topic of Diam, she's also picked up a relatively large shard of diamond from somewhere and is casually snacking on it, a gigantic, unapologetic grin on her face as she does so. *munch munch munch*
------------------------------------------------------------------
"Oh, you have a Cleffa with Wish? Nice! If they know Lucky Chant, I can teach you how to make the most of that move for healing large groups, Kogeki! My Togekiss, Samuel, can demonstrate for ya!"
Out comes Samuel, whose eyes go wide when he sees just how injured everyone is. Oh dear, oh dear...he better fix this, pronto!
Let's see where everyone's HP was at after that battle...Lucas was actually keeping a close eye on how damaged everyone was, so he has a rough idea of who needs healing, particularly if Kogeki and Randolph are willing to share that information.
Paula: 3/9
Hazel: 0/7
Heracross: 3/8
Turk: 9/12
Sally: 2/9
Lucas: 6/8
Kogeki: 6/8
Randolph: 3/6
Melissa: 2/8
Nami: 0/8
Susano'o: 6/8
There's 11 damaged characters from the D-Steelix fight, and Melissa can possibly fully heal 6 of them, so Samuel will demonstrate this technique on 4 of the characters that aren't as badly damaged: Lucas, Kogeki, Randolph, and Susano'o. Overkill? Probably. Cool? Heck yeah!
"Melissa's Wish is incredibly powerful (OOC: it's partially Plot Deviced), able to fully heal up to 6 pokemon at once if she focuses intensely...not that you'd know she's doing that. Trust me, though, such a powerful heal takes an incredible amount of willpower. What I'm about to show you isn't quite as difficult, but takes a lot more skill and some specific moves. If a pokemon happens to know both Lucky Chant and Wish, they can use them both in succession to do...this!"
Samuel demonstrates by first 'chanting' with various coos and caws, then sends his thoughts and prayers to the heavens by raising his wings to the...er, ceiling of the cave because you can't see the sky right now.
Lucky Chant 1
4 Special + 4 Contest+ 3 Perform - 2 = 9
(6)(5)(3)(2)(1)(3)(1)(1)(4)
Wish 2
10 Will - 4 = 6
(6)(6)(6)(2)(2)(3) Samuel spends 2 Will Points.
(5)( 1)( 1)(2)(2)(5)(2)(2)(6*) Lucas recovers 3 HP. 8/8
(6)(3)(6)(2)(2)(4)(3)(4)(6*) Kogeki recovers 5 HP. 8/8
(5)(5)(5)(5)(1)(4)(6*) Randolph recovers 6 HP. 6/6
(2)(2)(3)(2)(6)(3)(4)(1)(6*) Susano'o recovers 3 HP. 8/8
The chant echoes around the cave, and Lucas, Kogeki, Randolph, and Susano'o suddenly feel invigorated by the song!
"No special surprises needed for this combination of moves! Just need those two moves, enough skill at Performing, and a whole lotta Willpower. The result is a Wish that can heal as many pokemon as the user can attack with spread moves (in Samuel's case, that's 4 because he has 4 Special), and it becomes much stronger, too (it's a Complete Heal with a +1 bonus)! There's a few catches though. The first is that it's more taxing on the user to heal with this method than it would be normally (2 Willpoints to use Wish instead of 1). The second is that I've never gotten this technique to work more than twice per day. And the third is that Lucky Chant cannot currently be active before using this combination technique. I haven't successfully managed to get it to work with one pokemon using Lucky Chant and another one using Wish, either. So far as I can tell, it has to be performed by one pokemon knowing both moves, no exceptions. Of course, I could be wrong, but that's what I've seen from my own experiences."
Following that, Lucas suggests that if they're going to use Melissa's Wish to heal, that they heal the 6 most damaged pokemon they have, then use Heal Pulse for the remainder of any healing they have to do. "Sally can help with the Heal Pulsing a little if I ask her to. If you guys have any Heal Pulse users as well, then their help would be appreciated too."
-----------------------------------------------
Gama's still not quite recovered from the Kabutops battle. He's definitely still unconscious. Probably because Nurse Joy hasn't had enough time to get around to healing him yet. Operating one of the busiest buildings in every city isn't easy, ya know!
-----------------------------------------------
Once the group healing is addressed, Lucas does indeed ask about the Azure Flute. "Alright, so I think it's about time I was updated on this. Why the heck do you have the Azure Flute, Randolph? I've only read about that thing in the most obscure books in the Canalave Library, and I wasn't even entirely certain it existed until I saw you pull it almost out of thin air essentially. Coupled with the appearance of one of Arceus's Plates...well, I feel like I'm missing a crucial piece of information here. Why am I suddenly seeing items related to the Alpha Pokemon? I thought we were headed to Spear Pillar to deal with Dialga, not the creator of the universe."

Despite the situation and his feelings, Ran can't help but chuckle along with his best friend. No matter how grumpy or down in the scarpheaps he was, they always managed to bring a grin to his face. They're just that good of a fellow to be around.
"*Relieved Sigh* Thank ya. Considering the past will become the present for me eventually, I will say there's nothing to forgive. Never one truly blamed you once for anything serious, even though I fussed a lot at ya for some of your decisions. *Winks* I'll leave the rest about me to figure out yourself. Can't lead ya all the down the mine shaft, you know? *Nods* Well, take care. You're future's going to be bright, but that don't mean you get to slack off, so keep up the good hard fight!"
When Byron finally leaves, Ran brings a fist to his chest, his own sign of farewell for his friend. Hopefully when all this nonsense about his job is sorted out he'll be able to see them again.
Incidentally, he doesn't mind at all his wee anklebitter is eating up Diamond Steelix's body fragments. Heck, he'd lead her to it and have her literally bite its face off if he could, for all the fucking hell it caused to him and everyone in the mine!
----
Ran's scholarly curiosity flairs when Lucas brings up a secret technique to maximize the effectiveness of a Wish, listening carefully to the heroic lad as he taught and demonstrated it to Kogeki with his seraphic fae. After experiencing the results of it, his curiosity turns to deep interested as he shudders in relief at all the Pain he was in evaporating from him as he looked at Lucas and Samuel in keen and appreciative eyes.
"Now that the sort of healing we needed. Maybe I can teach Paula Wish someday to pull that off myself, if she can learn it. And if not, maybe some of the other Moves she can learn will have similar effectiveness as a Lucky Wish combination has...."
He shakes his head in a negative about having any Heal Pulses or any other form of imparting Recovery, and say that Paula doesn't need to be healed by Melissa's Wish, as he can just send her off to the Nurse for awhile and deserves a break from exploring/battling anyway. By doing so, their will be exactly 6 Pokemon that need healing, so no Fighting over who gets the Wish heal! Of course, if Paula's/anyone's Water Moves can just heal Melissa to full HP due to their Water Absorb, then Paula can get a Full Heal instead of them (in which case, that'll be brought up by Ran).
----
The scruffy smith was a bit surprised by Lucas' question at first, before he facepalm as he realized something.
"Oh Heatran's laval discharge, I forgot to tell ya about that. Guess it slipped my mind while I was chatting with the Pixies about this crisis and other stuff. *Sighs* Well, time to fix that mistake of mine. First off, I got this Azure Flute from Sinjoh Temple. It was floating in the middle of the Pixies, and....I felt compelled to go inspect and take it. When I did, I..... heard something chant a.....prophecy of sorts to me. Still remember it - couldn't forget about that even if I tried - so here's how it goes, *Ahem* :
Take hold of the flute
And play its song
At the Sinnoh Region's roof
It shall fix what is wrong
*Coughs* Ominous, and didn't know what that was all about, but now....it's kinda obvious now what I'm supposed to do with it, isn't it? Uxie found at shortly I had it, and the jist of what they said was that it being there with them previously sealed up implied that whatever trapped them, starting fucking with Mt. Coronent and the fabric of time and space of multiple universe and screwing around with Dialga didn't want either didn't want Arceas to get involved or it sealed them away too somehow."
"*Shakes head* That's all I got about the Azure Flute, beyond what you've just told me about. Given everything we've uncovered and been through, I'm not going to discount us having to deal with Arceas on top of Dialga or whatever is responsible for fucking with them and everything else. *Shudders* Terrifying prospect as facing our universe's creator IS, I ain't giving up at this point like I said, so don't worry about me Torchicing out on everyone."

"If there's anyone who doesn't need healing, it's probably Turk, honestly. He's one tough SoB, and he's got a lot of ways to recover his own health quickly. And since you used a Max Potion on Paula, I'd be inclined to prioritize healing her just in case she ends up being needed, honestly. Good point on Melissa's Water Absorb, though. I always forget about that myself since I don't usually carry around more than one Water type. That would mean Melissa doesn't need to heal herself with Wish, so that frees up a slot for her super powered healing. Any takers? Personally, I'd like to heal Sally up so she can properly fight and use Heal Pulse at full effectiveness if necessary, so that's one of the six that Melissa can heal."
-----------------------------------------------
Lucas listens veeeeerrrry carefully to what Randolph has to say about the Azure Flute and where it was located. After a long period of silence, Lucas voices some of his thoughts equally as carefully.
"Hmmmm...have you tried to play it yourself? I want to confirm it is actually what I think it might be. Everything I've read about it previously, however scarce or obscure, called it 'the flute that plays no music'. Every recorded attempt to play it only produced the sound of air blowing through hollow sounding tubes. But if this...prophecy you heard suggests you should play it at the highest point in the region...maybe something will be different if we take it to the Spear Pillar. The myths described it as having a deep connection to Arceus in some manner, though the exact connections were always unclear and incredibly varied, and I have no idea what would happen if it actually made some kind of sound."

"*Nods* I'll take your word for it, 'apecially after seeing that tortoise of yours in action. He's one mean green fighting machine, alright, haha! *Coughs* ....And yes, I'll let Paula get a part of that undine's Wish if its no trouble for anyone. Like ya said, it pays to be prepared, and I don't think she'd want to be seperated from me so long so soon after..... everything. *Shakes head* Don't mind that hotblood lass of yours partaking in the Wish - both her and Melissa are your partners, so taking care of them is your first priority - but I think that....well, pretty much all of Kogeki's partners he sent out to fight that monster need the healing. His..... weird ghost and Monferno got clean KOed, and his Heracross nearly got throttle into oblvion too, so there's three more Pokemon to add on the undine's Wish list. So that leaves...one free spot on it left. *Shakes head* Don't have any other Pokemon I think needs it, so unless you or Kogeki has a Fainted Pokemon in his PC, I suppose that slot will go to waste, *Tsk* ...."
(In others words: Kogeki's Greninja can be Revived without waiting for another Encounter, unless Lucas has a Fainted Pokemon in his PC that he wants healed up ASAP!)

"*Nods* Yes, actually. Tried playing it after I picked up my Fire Plate on the second Floor of this Mystery Dungeon, shortly after that avalanche occured. *Shakes head* Didn't make a peep or sound when I did, though, so that matches the Lore ya read about it. *Shrugs* All I can hypothesize myself it that it's either broken in some way or it'll only work on the apex of Mt. Coronet - Spear Pillar, like ya said. *Shrugs* Or something else. Not enough for me to go on to draw any concrete conclusion about it. If this *gestures with the Azure Flute* is as important as we believe, though, I better continue taking damn good care of it, or we're likely screwed if - or more likely when - we need it."
If they want, he'll try playing the Azure Flute again with the Splash Plate and his Fire Plate out, to confirm their previous Knowledge and see if it has a reaction this time. Afterwards, Ran will pull it away in the safest and most secure part of his Inventory, as he indeed does not want to lose it.

Afterwards, Ran will pull it away in the safest and most secure part of his Inventory, as he indeed does not want to lose it.
Nope, Lucas doesn't have any pokemon that need the healing particularly badly. He doesn't have a portable PC like everyone else does, so the last pokemon that gets the benefits of Melissa's Wish is up to Randolph and Kogeki.
Once again, the flute simply echoes hollowly when played...this time, though, the hollow echoes almost seem to be trying to form notes of some kind, but it's very, very faint and doesn't sound like a song or music notes at all. Just air blowing through the tubes...

Kogeki could feel his wounds be heal by Samuel super Wish. "Thanks. Unfortanely My Cleffa dont know Lucky Chant yet. She might need to evolve first before try to use such powerful move. My Monferno and Dramsama get knock out during the battle. And my Heracross was beat up too. My Greninja Gama could use a Revive to get full okay. So its 3 Pokemon down and one hurt. Should I use a Revive to patch him or you guys have suggestions?"
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

No, but actually yes. Such scales are usually used to 'volve a Kingdra, not much other use b'sides that is known. BUT me too feels that this scale from that Dragonair - your Dragonair now - is more th'n that, it most likely is. Well, or it only benefitc Dragonair 'EMSELVES? Ya could let 'em hold that scale and observe whether things are d'fferent when they're holdin' 'n not holdin' it, can ya?" "Well, it's going to be hard to tell what's special for now, I guess, since Dragonair's unconscious and all."
That makes Kee facepalm over himself. Has he worded things wrongly or weirdly? "Aww damn Karen-dear, none's askin' ya to find out right now nor at once, do take yar time! Just... What I meant was lettin' yar Dragonair hold this scale if ya're sending 'em into a battle 'gainst some feral or agressive 'Mon, ya see? Maybeh ya'll notice their attacks bein' stronger thanks to the scale or somethin' like this."
In a more non-chalant way he adds "Even if there's no effect, Dragonair may still enjoy keepin' this scale with 'em, or ya could trade or sell it for some noce stuff!~"
Espeon, being highly dutiful and used to these kinds of situations, simply gives Octavia a brief nod. He then turns to give Rui a mildly concerned look as she continues to absentmindedly stroke him.
Karen, noticing this, walks over and sits down next to Rui. She hugs her legs as she converses with the redhead. "Are you okay, Rui?"
Rui sighs as she looks over the water. "...I don't know...I still don't remember anything before waking up in this mountain...who I am, what I was doing, why I can see those black auras...it's all just...one big blank. Espeon's my only clue regarding my past, and I don't even know how much of what they 'said' I should believe..."
Rui looks at Karen, sad and uncertain. "Do you think we're close to the top yet? Do you...think I'll get my memories back before this is all over?"
Karen returns Rui's look, but does her best to remain positive. "I don't know...but we aren't going to find out until we get there! Don't let it worry you too much, okay?"
Rui looks back over the water, still uncertain. "I guess...*sigh*...you guys just all seem to know what you're doing and why you're here, though. At least, more than I do..."
Oh... Octavia tilts her head and frowns over Espeon, feeling a little taken-aback by his reaction. He's so dutiful and dedicated, isn't that draining him at some point...?
When he moves his gaze to Rui, Octavia does so too, then chirps lowly at her; it sounds quite sad and a little startled. How confused and lonely this nice lady must be even with this nice Psychic Eeveelution with her - Octavia throws one quick look over to Kee, though is actually sure that he doesn't mind - no, she feels like he'd even appreciate if she were to...! - and so the nice faeeveelution curls up into a sparkling ball off fur with ribbons right beside Rui, her head leaning a little against her. She gives off some purring sounds and soon starts to hum a very quiet but pleasant melody - a disarming voice that does no damage but calms instead, Octavia does that often when her most beloved person in the world feels down or plain lonely in said world. It tends to sooth his nerves as well as offer closure and companionship.
When Karen comes over and offers some of her own words and comfort to Rui, Octavia greets her with a melodic chirp and starts to hum her tune to her too.
It's then that Milotic returns with the items from the bottom of the lake. Pardon the interruption, but I think you'll all want to see these. She deposits two rectangular slabs on the shore in front of everyone.
![[Image: Bag_Toxic_Plate_Sprite.png]](https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/b/b4/Bag_Toxic_Plate_Sprite.png) ![[Image: Bag_Mind_Plate_Sprite.png]](https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/0/0f/Bag_Mind_Plate_Sprite.png)
Kee feels particularly drawn by the dark purple one. Karen takes notice of them soon after as well. "What do you have there, Milotic? Wait...those looks really similar to the item Randolph got from that rich guy...except they're different colors..."
Karen's eyes seem to be drawn to the more pinkish colored plate in particular. "Do you guys mind if I take a closer look at that pink one?"
When dear Milotic resurfaces and lays down these two...plates? in front of everyone, Octavia takes a moment from offering company to the ladies to HISS at that purple one! Uggghhh, it feels to sensitive her like it is INFUSED with numerous toxins and waste capable to do serious damage to nature and nature's creatures, she does not enjoy being near it. BUT she also knows that she's not defenseless towards said toxins, a blast with some of the psychic power hidden beneath her sparkly fur should teach 'em to stay back, HAH!!
Seeing his most beloved Pokemon's reaction to the purple plate, Kee's 100% more confused why he feels an involuntary and indomitable urge to get this purple plate, call it his own now just because and never-ever part with it ever. ( ̄ヘ ̄;) And once he has picked it up from the ground, he's feeling 200% more fascinated by it despite there's not a single word or sign engraved on this plate. ?????
He looks absent-minded as he responds to Karen: Ran got one from someone in a d'fferent colour? Neat... Uh, yeah, do take a look at this...pink plate if ya like, it's all yours...."
Something within the poisonous musician with the colorful look also makes him bring Draven into his party again, summon him right here and now, and show him this purple plate. The toxic catbat's a bit grumpy because he wanted to enjoy some rest, and he's still not doing too hot (sits @3/6HP), but he grants Kee his attention. Despite his look does obviously say 'Whydya call me, leave me alone, wanna rest duuuh'.
Kee just glosses over it. "Weeeeeeell, I called ya cuz I wanted t'show ya somethin'. This 'something' is THIS plate!!1!!1!~ Look at it, doesn't it feature one niiiiiice 'n toxic shade of purple?~~ As if it's holding tha power of all poisons known to mankind, natural and chemical ones. Oh, and nuclear ones, that too. An' tha power of all biological weapons ever invented. And... Ugh anywae, I've been thinkin' ya might enjoooooy this pretty plate? Hold it close, keep it hidden under yar cloak-wings? I've got tha feeling that... Who-or whatever ya bite while HOLDIN' this plate on yarself, will suffer an even woooorse~ case of sepsis." *cue totally no creepy nor mischievous smile*
(Depending on how Draven reacts/if he agrees, he can hold this plate as a Held Item!~ What I do with his Wide Lens comes in a seperate post after this has been adressed/responded to.)
