[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

I've been focusing on other activities, simply.
But I'll bring something up before turning in for the night.

...annnnd Shiva's reaction fails to surprise me in any way...not that I can blame anyone for some of those reactions...Delta Parasect is super, super duper creepy, after all. However, it's Type is kinda hard to determine exactly if you don't have all of the contextual information (nor haven't had any time to analyze it closely), and hardly any of the trainers in the area have managed to put two and two together so far to figure out its type. Nathan just happened to be asking the right questions.

Anyone watching Nathan's battle involving D-Parasect know one thing for certain, though: it's not an Electric type despite the mushroom having a kinda electric-bluish glow visible at all times of the day, and that's probably partially why the Aroma Lady used Stun Spore. And it doesn't resist Psychic attacks, either.

Electric types can't be Paralyzed according to the book, @Spiritmon, as per Gen 6+ rules. Don't worry about Static even though PJ would trigger it normally.

Not that you have much of a choice in the matter.  It's a 2v2, after all, and you've already lost your first 'mon.

Another note for future reference: Pikachu has a base HP of 4 because it's technically an evolved pokemon. Doesn't really affect whether Heart KOed the enemy Pikachu, fortunately. GM discretion whether Delta Pikachu has 3 or 4 base HP, though.

A semi-random but related aside: I don't understand why A-Raichu (in the 1.2 book) doesn't follow the same rule that all other twice evolved pokemon (like normal Raichu) do and have a minimum base HP of 5, tbh. They gave it 4 base HP for some wacky reason.

Are both D-Parasect and Doduo C fully healed in time for Nathan's third battle since they didn't sustain damage that was more than half of their max HP, @Iron?

Also, seeing as it's a relevant question for Nathan's choice of pokemon, does the Safari Cup's arena accommodate for fish pokemon and such? (basically, would aquatic 'mons have penalties to their Brawl based moves due to being unable to effectively fight on land?)

Oh yeah, Pikachu should all have 4 HP, sorry.

They're healed for exactly the reason you listed. Joy can auto-heal anyone as long as they don't go down to 1 or 0 hp, for the Cup.

Fish Pokemon are a traditional part of the Safari Cup, thanks for asking. There is indeed a lake at one corner of each battlefield.

Relatively important note: Poison resists Fighting, so that Lethal Superpower did only 2 Lethal damage to Delta Pikachu, @Iron and @Spiritmon.

I kinda doubt Nurse Joy would change her recommendation of D-Pikachu taking it easy for the rest of the day, though. Particularly because these battles are happening in rapid succession all throughout the day compared to the normal pacing of a usual 3 encounter day.

Please try to keep such comments for yourself, I don't find this one very friendly towards me and it's somewhat bringing my mood down. I've told you once already to maybe think twice before hitting the 'Reply' button.

I'm not going to keep my thoughts on a very prominent issue IC to myself, Phantom. Not when it's all been stacking up like it has been. Nathan has some very real issues with Shiva.
