[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
Arial smile then update the party. "Okay guys. She gonna join with us soon. But we should enter now since we dont have much time. She gonna meet us inside the Nuclear Facility. Dont worry, she is the most stealth person we ever see. She will join us with no big problems. And she have a Steel bug with her right now. And Bugs resist radiation so no danger on her side. Lets go people. We have a Green Hell to face. No pressure."

Reiner's not really that impressed (partially because he's questioning Arial's decision, partially because Riza is not the stealthiest person he's ever seen).  "...I really hope you kow exactly what you're doing here, Arial.  Having only three trainers instead of four better not bite us at the worst possible moment."

There's an implied threat behind those words.  Of course, if something that bad does happen...well, it probably wouldn't be Reiner that Arial would be immediately worried about...

With all that out of the way, Reiner inputs the access code(s) to open the door.

Let's get this glowing green party started, shall we?

"Relax man. Did I ever let you down in any moment before Reiner boss? Also, just in case I have buy a Max Repel, just in case we been a difficult state, and we need to dispel any kind of pokemon problem against the most strong ones. Just send a order to use it since I only buy one."

Reiner just grunts in response.  He's not in the mood for actually answering that question, and he doesn't really have much to say concerning the Max Repel.

The thick metal gate sloooowly opens after you input the access codes, creating PLENTY of racket as it fully retracts into the side of the wall. You can bet that ALL the little hell spawn heard that, like a giant dinner bell signaling the latest appetizers to their gluttenous destruction.

Joy.

BEYOND tense already, everyone moves through the opening and into The Nuclear Research Facility Courtyard....

...and minutes afterwards the gate automatically grinds to close behind you, locking you in. Fortunately their is also a keypad on this side that will let you open it again and get back out! ...Not that its all that helpful right now, but still, your not TOTALLY trapped here at least!

Right off the bat, you notice three prominent things.

One, a white paved path that leads directly to a large fountain, which circles around it and straight to the entrance of the NRF Building. The fountain itself has a tall statue with a Neil Bohr Era Atomic Model of Uranium, which weakly spouted water into the murky pool bellow. The NRF itself....well, it just looked like a typical brick and mortal building: short and blocky, with a thick coat of white paint on it (No doubt based, natch). You could probably assume its well fortified despite its humble appearances, though; the walls and guard towers are hardly subtle indicators. From what you all can see, the NRF is one story tall and is composed of two sections: a large central building, and a small branch on the west connected by a long, narrow section.

All in all, it didn't look nearly as imposing as you would expect a place taken over by Corrupted Nuclear Pokémon and a Mad Scientist would be!

Well, were it not for the copious amounts of blood spatter that coated the walkway. No bodies or remains present to indicate where it all came from, but their is plenty of scraps of clothing and unsalavagable material...

...Okay, maybe this place is living up to its reputation after all.

Two, the court yard is of moderately large size, and it is completely overgrown with Long Grass. Using the Foutain as a central refrence, you could divide the court yard into two halves, West and East.

The West Side held the Sentry Tower, what looked to be a.....brutally mutilated corspe, and......what looked to be several normal Pokémon?! Oh my, how the hecky did they manage to survive uncorrupted?!

The East held what looked to be a small groves of delicious trees, and, to your surprise, a couple of unravaged Berry Fields! …And no doubt who knows what else lies in wait in the Tall Grass beyond.

Third and finally, was a MULTITUDE of Ratattas and a LARGE Raticate, all radiating a sickly green glow and staring right at you all.

All of the radioactive rodents eyes were blank white, filled with nothing but frothing HATRED for all that was not Corrupted Kin and hunger.

*HISS!!!!*

...Yeap, they're now swarming in mass towards you all, alright.

Lovely.

Ambush Encounter! All Opponent get + 2 Initiative! This fight will not count towards the Countdown.

6 Groups of Radioactive Rodents, 5 Ratattas each and one group lead by a Ratitcate (Which makes that one tougher!)

Group A (With Ratitcate): DEX (*5) + Survival (*4) + 2 + (2) = 13
Group B: DEX (4 [For G. B-E]) + Survival (3 [For G. B-E]) + 2 + (3) = 12
Group C: 9 + (6) = 15
Group D: 9 + (4) = 13
Group E: 9 + (4) = 13
Group F: 9 + (1) = 10
Dragonair: 5* + Survival (3) + (6) = 14
Frosslad: 3 + 3 + (1) = 7
Melchoir: 3 + 3 + (4) + 1 (Bonus!) = 11
Metagross: *5 + 3 + (6) = 14
Mew: 6 + (5) =11
Zeus: 6 + (4) + 1 = 11
Reiner: 6 + (4) = 10
Arial: 6 + (4) + 1 = 11
Lindworm: 5* + (1) = 6

Initiative Order: Group C, Dragonair, Metagross, Group A, Group B, Group D, Group E, Melchior, Zeus, Mew, Arial, Group F, Reiner, Frosslad, Lindworm.

They are outnumber. Six groups of Ratatas, with 5 five Rarata each one. And big Raticate. "Hmm, thirty and one Nucmons to deal with. Even they are only Ratata, we cant let our guard down. To bad Melchior and Zeus dont have kind of spread move." Then Arial have a idea. "Reiner. Mr. Lindworm. Let me care of that Raticate. If there is something I know about Nucmons, is even when they dangerous, they fear something with greater power. That Raticate is problably the leader and Alpha of the group. If we beat him, the other ratata will run or at least have less courage to face us. Reiner, what gonna be our course of action?"

(Aka to go boom with your strategy. If you gonna use it warn Arial now.)

Yeah, that horde approaching immediately gets a nasty sounding @$#%! from Reiner.

One of Reiner's Key Stones starts glowing immediately, too!  And so does Metagross!  Metagross is now first in the Initiative due to the Mega Boost!

"We're gonna blow these suckers away.  I don't want to face 30 normal Rat pokemon at the same time on a good day.  Arial, Lindworm, hunker down for a bruising!  Frosslad, run cleanup!'And  it would be great if you would help Frosslad with that, Mew!'

Suffice to say, Metagross doesn't stop glowing after it's Mega Evolved.

Heeeeere it comes...the roleplay section's debut usage of...

EXPLOSION!!! (non-lethal, though.  Don't want any of our characters to die here because of one of our own attacks, after all)
Accuracy: 14
Damage: 15 base!!!  And +1 SE damage to all those Normal/Nuclear types!, -1 Damage to all the Steel types/characters with armor of some kind
Effect: M-Metagross faints, but hopefully takes every single one of these glowing green monstrosities with it!
Note: Conditional Will Point for this move!  ...though I seriously hope it doesn't need it.

Frosslad, meanwhile, carries on without a care for what's happening since he's completely immune to the carnage Metagross is about to cause.

Powder Snow x3 (Frost Breath instead if there's only a single target left)
Accuracy: 11 base - 3/4/5 = 8/7/6 D6
Damage: 2 + 3* + STAB + SE = 6 D6 base + 1 damage
Effect: Freeze (1).  Hits 5 targets simultaneously

And Mew can use her own spread move to aid in the cleanup if some rats happen to survive.

Dazzling Gleam x3 (Aura Sphere instead if there's only a single target left)
Accuracy: same as Powder Snow
Damage: 3 + 4 + SE = 7 D6 base + 1 damage
Effect: Hits 5 targets simultaneously

...or maybe she decides to try and Evade the Explosion or use a different number of actions instead.  We'll see.  She can heal up afterwards, though, and these rats need to be disposed of, so maybe she won't?

Reiner is going to try and Evade the Explosion to halve any incoming damage.
Evade: 3 + 5 + 2 = 10 dice before action bonus/penalties.  (not sure if this is a single action or second action since the only other thing Reiner is doing this Round is using a Key Stone)

Well, let's see if this plays out in the way we hope it will...

When Arial heard Metagross gonna use Explosion, he brace himself for what about to happen...he couldnt avoid to remember the last time he witness a Explosion. "Zeus! Melchior! Lets run! A Meta-Explosion is coming! Lets dodge to far as much we can! I hope you know what you gonna to do Reiner!" Arial summon the power of his own Mega Ring, making Melchior grow in size and power. He Melchior fail in dodge the Explosion, at least the Magnetic Flux+Steel Typing and Mega Boost might be enough to make him survive. "Now lets move! Lets go now!" Then Arial, Melchior and Zeus begin his dodge manauvers to survive the big Explosion.

Run to the Cliffs! Dodge Round!

Zeus Dodge manauvers: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Dodge (1) + Bonus of been in NRF (1) + Single Action (2) = 11D6
Melchior Dodge: Dex (*4) + Fight (3) + Dodge (1) + Bonus of been in NRF (1) + Single Action (2) = 11D6
Arial Dodge: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Evasion (1) + Bonus of been in NRF (1) + Single Action (2) = 10D6

Mew's Dis.: (2)(5)(5)(1)(2) Tie, goes to Reiner.

'....Understood, Reiner. If the Dice end up screwing me over for this, then I will be even more not happy.'

After/during that rosy confirmation from Mew, you activated your Key Stone, triggering the metallic crabspider Mega Evolution in Mega Metagross with the familiar flash of prismatic light!!!

…does not abate one iota, instead shifting into a pure white color of near eye searing intensity as they prepare to execute the mother of frag itself in the mother of all hardware crashes/meltdowns!

Everyone reacts to announce of the imminent meldown with alarmed but controlled reactions. Arial triggers Melchoir's own Mega Evolution into Mega Metalynx without ceremony and then  throws himself down on the ground, with both his apex predator and God Mechabotla follow after him! Lindworm immediately collaspes , but his Dragonair narrowed their eyes and glared right at the Nuclear Raticate, before flickering and slamming into them at:

Extreme Speeds!

(2)(4)(5)(6)(4)(3) Nuclear Raticate takes 5 Damage; 5/10 HP (Surprise!) , - 2 Pain!

Frosslad himself is completely unworried as he prepares to summon freezing cold on the Horde, and is in fact looking at curiously at the soon to be detonating M-Metagross, as that is a Move he'd be very interested in learning. The semi-sociopathic Mythic herself is charging her next Move, hoping to time its release shortly after the blast to obscure it from the others.

The only beings that do not react are the incoming swarms of Nuclear Ratatta + Raticate, their near mindless HATRED and unending hunger driving them forward to meet the party head on. KILL......CONSUME...…DESTROY!!!

All of this happens in an instant. The next, the light emitting from the living supercomputer reached its maximum brightness, befor-

Arial has DIED (Not).

(1)(5)(5)(3)(3)(5) Group E is chilled to the bone, and are knocked out cold.
Frozen: (6) They are Frozen.

As the frenzied action abates for a brief moment, the carnage of the Round was revealed: Most Groups of Nuclear Ratatta Fainted, everyone but Mew seriously affected by the Explosion, and Arial's torn up corpse being ripped and torn apart by Group F, the lasting remaining pack of rats. The beast are headless of their injuries, only focused on getting their pound of flesh from the fool's body and sating their never ending HUNGER.

Melchoir…just snapped, and is now staring blankly in horror at what happening to his master, his brother, and believe that it was all his fault. Zeus, meanwhile, is sliently panicing in the heap it's laying in, and has no inclination to stop anytime soon.

…The NRF has claimed its first casualty....or so it appears...

The First Nuclear Horde Continuation.

Batter by the Explosion but hardly out of Action, Dragonair goes straight into motion, twirling around n' around in place and generating a LARGE Draconic energy enriched cyclone, before arresting himself and sending it forward at the last pack of Ratatta with a flick of its tail!

Twister!
Accuracy: 10D6 Base Dice - 1 Pain - 5 Actions = 4D6 Dice
(5)(5)(2)(1) Hits!
Damage: STR (5) + 2 + STAB + SE - Vitality (2) = 7D6 + 1 Dice
(2)(4)(4)(6)(-)(-)(-) Group G is caught in the raging vortex and are battered into unconsciousness, before being eject out from it a short distance away from Arail!

With that, the entire battle grinded to a complete halt, an unsettling calm descending upon the Courtyard as the entire horde of Nuclear Ratatta were finally subdued at the blitzkrieg assault leveled at the - a fitting taste of their own medicine, considering they would have tried to rush you down too!

Lindworm is the first to react , picking himself off the ground the ground (letting out several strained grunts as he did so), before he first applied a Potion on himself, and then walked over to fully treat his Dragonair's injuries with a Super Potion. He's aware of Arial's critical condition as he does this, but decided to opt on patching himself and his trusted Dragon up first, on the not so unlikely chance another Horde of Corrupt Nuclear Pokémon comes springing out of the Long Grass to have a go at them all. Call him inconsiderate/insensitive, but he rather ere on the side of caution then leave himself and, by extension, the rest of the current party more vulnerable.

Now that he battle was over, Zeus was finally able to pull themselves together long enough to float over to their fallen master and hover over them defensively, using his own nearly ramshackle body as a shield and keeping all his eyes vigilant for trouble. Melchoir, however, is still incapacitated by the Trauma of thinking his brother had died (and on his watch no less), causing him to slump down into a miserable, vacuous pile , his Mega Evolution reverting a moment later.

Frosslad lets out a small *Sigh* of relief as things wind down, quite pleased that he nor his master and their allies were no longer beset by those....foul monstrosities. He's especially glad that the expert on Nuclear Disaster of the group didn't end up giving up the Ghost by those florescent, furry little fiends, as while the topic/occurrence of death didn't bother him none at all (obviously), that didn't mean he didn't want it to happen to people he and/or his master rely upon. That would just be ignoble, and counterproductive to boot!

You couldn't see what your divine feline was getting up to herself due to her invisibility field, but you could feel they were now hovering near your person and felt they were also Alert for anymore danger on the prowl....before they chime in to you, their tone faintly disappointed, irritated, and exasperated.

'....I suggest you go over and treat Arial's injuries now, before he has the chance to bleed out or start attracting more Corrupted Nuclear Pokémon. Or both, and ends up marinating in his own blood. Preferably, use his own Medical Supplies to treat, as I would rather we save as much of our own for ourselves then to spare it on others.'

' …For a supposed survivor of Tandor's Nuclear Disaster, he's not living up to my expectations of such status, is he now Reiner? …Then again, he has never meet our expectations in the first place, so I do not know why I am so surprised and...underwhelmed by this. Its almost impressive, for him to make me feel this strongly by literally doing nothing useful at all...'

…And this is WITH some of her emotional capacity restored. Heaven knows what her comments would be like otherwise...

What now, mates?

(Would be a good time to bring up what Medical Items you have in your Inventory, Spiritmon!)
