[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

Your ruling on SPE -> Trainer sounds very Scimitar-like!

I'll ask to negotiate XP spread once I take a look at what moves are available for my mon, but I will probably request to spread that out a lot more so my wee Pokemon aren't gimped.

It’s a bit of a mess, yes, but the end result hopefully strikes the right balance of Stat Management. Individually raising most of the Stats of each Mon is intense work imo (Let alone accounting for Surprises!), so splitting the burden between two XP Pools (Trainer and their Mons) should make it more convenient and easy to Level Stuff at least!

Funny that you mention that: Scimitars and Mages always have the Option of Pooling all the Contributing Mons SPE when they’re doin MAGIC or Moves, and can even modulate how much of that power they use at once! EX: If a Scim has 10 SPE to work with, the can use between 1-10 of it for any given task! This important cause using more power that you can handle is BAD news - I’ll indicate those limits when they apply . Scums get their entire Party’s SPE if they’re hooked up to their Guantlet and the Scimis running the Ritual, but this whole process is inherently unstable and prone to malfunctions and oddities if ‘overclocked’ too much or the Scim tries to pull something dangerous/they’re not ready for. Other kinds of Magic users have their own little nuance to how they handle Special too - play your cards right and you might get to experience them for yourselves!

KO! Let me know when you are ready, and don’t rush now!

I'm not entirely sure I understand what Iron was discussing with Windos, can someone please explain? Do your Pokemon's stats depend on your own?
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:

For Reguler Mons, mostly yes. You use and Level their Special Stat, their Better Defensive Stat (Cap wise - if a Pokemon had a Cap of 8 on VIT but a Cap of 4 on INS, you'd use/level their VIT for Rolls), and all their Specialties, Moves, and Surprises! . Everything else (PC's STR, DEX, Not Used Defense Stat, and their Skill Scores) is supplied by Leveling up your PC's Stats. Half and Half, basically.

For Pseudo Tier Mon, you combine all their Scores together for that Mon's Ro11s , but you have to 1eve1 A11 that Mon's Stats , like you have to level all your PC's Stats. In other words, Pseudo act like how Dragonstrike did Pokemon Stats (They're independent of your PC's/other Mons stats and you have to 1eve1 them to increase them) whi1e benefiting off your PC's Stats (1ike how Iron treated Pokemon Stats in his Campaign - he just used the PC's Stats for all their Mons). Pseudo double up and get ALL the Stats for themselves, but you have to worc them HARD to get them to their MAX potentia1, to sum it up.

Inbox is about full and I’m at work, so for now if you have any questions just ask them in the Meta Thread and REDACT any info you want to save to surprise the rest of the players. I’ll get to answering questions when I get the time, promise!

Can this campaign have Heavy Balls? Those could be quite relevant to my character!

You mentioned in a DM to choose Held Items, do we have a certain amount of them to start? 'cause they aren't listed by price in the rulebook.

Is this campaign going to include the core rule of being able to switch abilities each day? I saw you wanted to do some advanced stuff with ability descriptions, so I was wondering.

Yes - moreover, this campaign includes every kind of Pokeball that exists in games, as well as the Custom ones made in Skull Ruins and Celadon City Vandals ( though I don’t recommend getting hacked POKEBALLS, unless you want your character to be evil or if dubious morality). Some Balls will be harder to get than others , depending  on their Seal Strength and how unique they are.

One Item for each of your Pokémon, no restrictions, no costs, and the Items can be sourced from All Known Pokémon Game Items or the Cystom ones from Skull Ruins and CCV. This can include Evo Items to circumvent some of the restrictions Tiering places on Mon choices too!

Due to the power and complexity Abilities have in my game, generally no. Items and Surprises! do exist that can change abilities in my campaign, however, but they don’t come cheap!
