[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

I have a pertinent question on that front, Iron: What happens when our Chara Will scores drop to 0? I', at 1 myself, and I've been careful not to ever let it drop any lower, but given that being here in the town is sapping it with or without rest (My chara never slept at all, and yet was still affect by the Will drain, Yikes!), its going to become an issue sooner or later!

Well, thanks a bunch for allowing what I had in mind concerning Strength, then! I surely appreciate it. This way, my Pokemon are still allowed to become rather strong, just not necessarily 'visible strong on the outside'. As for heavy load and stuff that might hinder me, I have Azu with Huge Power just in case.

'Intrinsic Power/Strength' describes it very well, thanks @Lord Windos!

I'm at 1 Will Point as well. :/

Yeah, we are in rough straights on that front! But then you go buy a bag of salt....planning some mubo jumbo there, are you my love? Now that will be interesting to see!

Now that a second form of elemental shard has been added to the game, I'm wondering what their use is exactly. They sound like they can power up moves, but are they like the Gems in Black and White (One time use), or are they a permenant held item? Or do they have another purpose, like reducing the cost of learning move of that shard's associated element? I'm honestly curious about them, @Iron !

At 0 Will points, one of two things can happen.

1. If you spent the Will point purposely, you faint.
2. If it drains over time like in Corsage, you will feel weak and faint until you get some good rest and recover a Will Point. Battling is extremely difficult in this state, and attempting to do so will probably cause you to collapse in exhaustion.

Eventually, being at 0 Will forces you to sleep, whether you want to or not!

So we can either lose a will point through this unnaturally fitful slumber, or lose it by not sleeping. Fun...

I'll tell you a bit about the motivation behind the glass shards:

They are inspired by beach glass, smoothed by the ocean. They are little bits of the same stuff that the evolutionary stones are made of.

Fireglass, seaglass, thunderglass, petalglass, moonglass, flareglass, shimmerglass, duskglass, and dawnglass can all be found in Creshire.

They are the "shards" that Move Tutors are always seeking, because with them, you can teach a Move of that element more easily. This use consumes the shards. Gather enough shards, and you can create an evolutionary stone if you know what you're doing!

Yeah, lack of sleep is always dangerous! And Corsage makes it very difficult to sleep!

It's not at the rate of 1 Will per night, though. First nights here just hit you hard. And coffee (etc) does help stave off the effects.

In that case, once Ven's job is done at the Aquarium, he going to chugging as much coffee his body can handle without throwing up. Caffine has kept me up on nights on end, so I'm willing subject him to the negs of caffeine abuse to avoid sleep. (At least until I can get him outside of town to rest!)

Also, why can't Ven just meditate to prevent his Will score from dropping each night in town? He's literally used it as a method of controlling his emotions and as a substitute for sleep at one point (He's still dead tired, but he's not affect by the other aspect of sleep deprivation), so why not use that and NOT suffer Bad Dreams from whatever is plaguing the town with them?

This town just feels like a grind to be in, if a constant/ ever present Will drain is going to hobble us every step of the way. At this point, after my outing with Shiva tomorrow, I'm going to have to take my character and make him camp out in the woods for awhile, until he gets at least all his Will Points back, if I don't want them going insane in this town...

Meditation helps, but is also no substitute for real sleep. It's that vital, precious REM cycle, which unfortunately also carries the nightmares!

Ohhhh. So they'd affect the Roll for Move Tutoring in any case? Insight + Knowledge + Move Tutoring is what you gave me as the default roll for teaching.

That also means... If I somehow gather more duskglass in Chreshire, as well as a Minicorn... Shiva will eventually own a dark unicorn stabbing the opponent.

I have something in mind about loosing a Will Point due to restless sleep, I wonder how it will effect Shiva's rest tonight.
