Randolph lets out a long *Sigh* as he finally cottoned on to what was putting his subterranean drake down, and got close enough to give them a pat on the back and look them in the eye.

"Zorn, their ain't no shame in how ya acted. It's perfectly naturally for Ice types to intimidate ya at least a little bit, and Candice and her frosty beasties are right menaces that practically embody the deep, bone chilling cold of their Element. Especially that yuki onne. *Shudders* .....Truth be told, that Pokemon of Miss Jackie Frost scares me too. You wanna know why? 'Cause legend has it that their in the wild kind go about freezing any poor, unlucky bastard solid, and then displaying them in their secret lairs.  And that's just the least they can do to ya."

"*Grimaces* ....When ya faced that yuki onne, I thought she was going to make a popsicle out of ya, or do Heatran what else. But she didn't. You, through ya own initiative and Sheer Force of Will, managed to not only endure all the hell she sent your way, but you gave her one hell of a thrashing right back! Shoot, you'd actually beat them, were it not for them snacking on their Sitrus Berry! Think about that for a minute, Zorn. You managed to practically beat a elite Ice type, one of your very antithesis when it seemed like she'd deep Freeze ya instead. If it weren't for ya efforts, the rest of our team would have had a hell of a time beating her 'fore she managed put everyone else on Ice. "

"*Shakes head* So you wanting to call it quits after your fight with that  yuki onne? That wasn't coward move, but a smart one, ya dang hard head. Even if it was, I think you more than earned the the right to duck out. And staying in, to fight to the bitter end in, when you hardly got a chance left? That's plain stupid."

"*Sighs* ....I know that you're a big Dragon brute that prides themselves on their Strength and ferocity, but there's more to fighting than that. Sometimes, ya have to give it your all. Sometimes, ya have to be clever and tricky with your opponents. And sometimes, discretion is the better part of valor, and knowing when to cut and leave."

The dwarven craftsman gives his 'mean' Dragon another pat on the back, and crossed his arms while giving them a firm stare.

"Gist of what I'm say is this: you were not a coward in our Gym Battle. You fought hard, survived by the skin of ya teeth, and got out when you could, instead of putting yourself through needless suffering. Understand me, Zorn?"

*rolls*

Zorn's still not so sure about that, but...well, to say the pep talk didn't help would be an understatement.

Zorn gains 1 Will Point as he slowly and reservedly nods in response to the pep talk.

He still seems to be a little down in the dumps, but at least he's quietly eating his food now.

Nothing of any particular note seems to happen when Diam eats the Dark Gem.  She does think it's rather tasty, though.

She can also somehow tell that Randolph has more of them on his person, and is eagerly trying to get into his bag to 'find' them.

Old Wolfe would swat his wee ankle bitter away from his belongings with a mild scowl, looking somehow irritable but knowingly so.

"Oy, quit that ya gem addled munchkin! I've already bought ya plenty of diamond for ya to feast on for days to come and gave you that Dark Gem as a snack, so cut it out!"

Diam, upon hearing that last bit, smiling and hopping with delighted wickedness and was about to 'carry out' his orders by carefully tearing his bag open for all those sweet, delicous goodies, when her partner (who'd catch on to what she was about to do) pinched his nose and let out a grumbling *SIGH...* pulled out a Ghost Gem, and shoved it in front of her.

"Fine, fine. Here. Don't ask or be looking through my stuff for any more, or you're getting straight Pokechow for every for every $100 Poke ya cost me. Got it?"

(Feeding Diam another Type Gem, this time a Ghost one! Between this and the Dark Gem, that should be enough of a meal for her, right?)

"As I thought. It suits you." just need to add white gloves She twirls her free bang, (the one that doesn't have her 'mega barrette') thinking, then says; "D'ya have anyone close to you?"

Hehe. "Good for ya that you like it." He playfully ruffles her hair a bit, regardless whether Karen allows it or not.

But when she proposes such a loaded question, he just starest at her for a good minute, then turns away to not face her and takes a sip from another (this time non-alcoholic) drink he was bringing along. "I.... guess so, it's Octavia here." He points to the shiny Sylveon resting on his shoulder once again, as her name fell she perks up, jumps at the table and wraps one ribbon around Karen's wrist as a greeting and to read her feelings. "Otherwise, if you do mean romance-wise, nope. Single life is best life."

Diam is also capable of determining if any Type Gems or other tasty gemstones are nearby due to her nature as a Sableye, so she can pretty easily find more Type Gems, Evolutionary Stones, etc. when in the appropriate locations. (and also knows when someone is holding them)

And yup, Diam's content with that snack...for now!

Zorn's still not so sure about that, but...well, to say the pep talk didn't help would be an understatement.

He has to bite back a little *sigh* at seeing them still being somewhat glum, as he hoped they'd be back to their old self after lighting a flame under them. Still, he could tell that the big o' brute was much better off than before and was eating now, so he'd take that as a success and call the matter settled for now. Zorn would be fine after he had more time to get over it himself, and that's what counted in the end.

After the celebratory meal time for everyone was over, he returned everyone but Beethoven and headed back to the lobby, taking a seat at the table Rowan specified with everyone else and bringing out his novel + cocoa and resumed enjoying both in the meantime. I'll assume by the time he finished everything, he'd miss out on any conversation between his co-workers, so as not to interrupt them AND get him caught up in talk he wouldn't be too interested in either.

One of Ran's eyebrows shot up as he witness Diam literally glowing with satisfaction from her crunchy snack, absentmindedly rubbing his beard at the sight/guessing at what it meant.

"Huh....so these Type Gems do have an effect on ya. Hmm.....suppose I'll have to experiment more with ya diet then now. Maybe give ya an Evolution Stone next, when I can afford them...."

He pats his gemlin on the head after a little more thoughtful muttering on his part, and continues to make his way back to the Center. He's got the rest of his partners to treat tonight, and the sooner he got out of this blasted cold, the better!

Alexis's cocky smirk is soon wiped off of her face as all of a sudden, her Gyarados isn't the one who's going first, which is something she hadn't been expecting at all.

"STOP!  Stop stop stop!  That's enough!!"

Susano'o had raised one of his sword arms, ready to deliver the final blow to his now vulnerable opponent.  Nagi, now recovered from his own Flinch status, tilts his head curiously at the Ace Trainer.

The battle almost seems to freeze in time for a moment...

...and then Susano'o lowers his sword arm, and Alexis lets out that breath she'd been holding.

"...thank you.  I...really don't want to risk Gyarados fainting.  Not like that, and definitely not here.  Heh...you guys are strong, though, I gotta admit.  Guess I underestimated you.  Thanks for entertaining me.  Here, take this."

Alexis walks over to Kogeki and hands him his prize money.  Cha-ching!  Kogeki gets $900.

"...and also...take this.  I think you guys probably need it more than I do."

Alexis reaches into her bag and hands Kogeki...



...an Experience Share?!

Alexis chuckles.  "Honestly, I don't really need it any more.  I've spent so long training and training and training, most of my pokemon are already at a point where I don't think they're going to improve much more with its help.  So here, take it.  And if you're up for it once you're stronger, I'd be down for a rematch some time!  So use that to help your pokemon get stronger, okay?"

Susano'o, Nagi, Nami, Gama, and Aspido all get 6 exp, and Kogeki gets 15.  Congrats on beating a character that was roughly the same difficulty as Candice!

Oh, and Nagi also regains 1 Will Point for having somehow survived this encounter with a Gyarados.  He also recovers 2 HP with his Leftovers before the adrenaline of battle wears off (though that won't matter much since a trip to the Center is likely imminent)  Phew.  He's glad THAT'S over.

At the same time Susano'o stop battling, the energy of Mega Evolution end, returning to his original form. "You also not bad yourself kid. Rapidash, Luxio and your Gyarados is indeed all strong. Really strong. We could able to deal with such powerful foe thanks to Hypnosis and Nightmare. Don't slack off in your studies girl. You are young and filled with energy, I give you that."

"But let you give a word of wisdom, from someone who lived for a long time: Be careful in your adventures, and don't let your guard down. Even more in dangerous places. Despite the world has beauty, it also has dangers who would make even the heart of the bravest trainer tremble. Remember: It's not only you should take care, but also your Pokemon. They are your friends and companion. If you not careful...you can lost more than you imagine..."

Than Kogeki show the piece of clothes who hide his wood left arm to the young Ace trainer. "...I normally don't show this, but you show skill and power, so carve this image in your mind. May we fight again in the future."

Then Kogeki show his wood hand and offer a handshake. "I look forward for our future battle Ace Trainer Alexis. I Kogeki. Can we exchange numbers?"

Also, Kogeki happily take the money and Exp. Share!

Also as a side note, is Susano'o also getting a Will Point too? Since he did his best with beating Gyarados, destroying Rapidash, and testing his Mega Form plus Swords Dance and Iron Defense. Not to mention tanking 2 Electric type moves, being one of them be Wild Charge. Not to mention almost finished off a Gyarados.

And I suppose Nami It's not happy in be fainted again right? That's the third time this week.
