[Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery
Karen is approached by a Camper who's bundled up for the cold weather.  Maybe he's bundled up a little too much, though...it's almost impossible to tell what he looks like underneath all those layers of clothing.

"Hey!  Are you prepared for the cold weather around here?  You don't look like you are to me!"
Reply
"I am, and you look like you're over-prepared, what d'ya say we heat things up with a battle?"
Karen's first Pokemon is Nidorina.

Randolph spends his first encounter assisting Nurse Joy's interns with the mechanical processes and basic assembly of the prosthetic.

The first thing on the list is making sure they have all the necessary parts.  Fortunately, there are plenty of shops around the city that sell those, so this step is automatically completed.

Next is actually assembling the basic framework and the protective casing.  With the help of the interns' Knowledge of the shape of the human body, Randolph can reasonably attempt to make a metal arm and hand.

Crafting: (4)(5)(3)(5)(4)(4)(6)(3)(3)(6)(2)(2) 7 successes.  Randolph has a very easy time assembling it with the interns' assistance.  They're all amazed at Randolph's mastery of metal working.

The snag comes when they reach the electronics, though.  As the shipment of Neuro Sensors hasn't arrived yet, the prosthetic can't be completed.  One of the interns has a very, very basic understanding of computer programming, but it doesn't mean much without the necessary parts.

However, the interns have learned a bit more about how to assemble the framework of a metal prosthetic, so it definitely isn't wasted time. Oh, and Randolph can also assemble another metal prosthetic later without help now. That's important too. (The Pokemon Center is keeping this one as an example)

Randolph spends the rest of the encounter helping out with various medical errands.

Nurse Joy will call Randolph when the Neuro Sensors come in.

"Heracross! Lets begin our attack! Use Pin Missile! 4x!"

Using Will Point to ignore Pain this round.

Also, a little question: Since Aerial Ace is a move who never Fail, could use it as my fourth action without dice penality? Just to confirm. If yes, then it will gonna be my Fourth Action. If not, then forget it and let the 3 first moves to happen.

The camper looks surprised for a moment at Karen's eagerness to battle.  Usually, he's the one who issues the challenge, not the passerby he's concerned about the safety of!

Okay, so this is a single battle.  How many pokemon does each side get to use?  Are trainer items allowed?

As for Camper Zach's first pokemon...it's a (2) Male Gabite! -1 Str for Nidorina due to Rivalry.

Round 1 Initiatives
Nidorina: (4) + 8 = 12
Gabite: (2) + 8 = 10

let's go with 3 Pokemon, no trainer items

"Okay Nidorina, give that Gabite a kiss goodnight!"

Lovely Kiss
Accuracy: Beauty(3)+Contest(1)+Allure(1)-3+Single Action(2)= 4D6
Notes: Puts target to sleep

Kogeki vs Candice Round 3

Pin Missle 1-4 (spend one of Heracross's Will Points!)
10 - 1 - 2/4/6/8 -1 = 7/5/3/1
(2)(1)(5)(5)(3)(1)(5)
(2)(1)(5)(6)(4)
(6)(3)(2)
(3) Hit 3 times!
1 + 4* + STAB - 3 = 3 D6 per hit
(6)(6)(5)
(2)(2)(2)
(2)(5)(3) Medicham takes 4 damage! 5/9 HP -1 Pain
(5), (2), (3) No Flinch

Medicham's weathered worse attacks than that!  And she's going to show that bug that she's just as Tough and Intimidating as he is!

Bulk Up 1
10 - 2 - 1 = 7
(1)(6)(6)(1)(4)(5)(2)
+1 Str and Def for Medicham!

And then she launches her own blitz of physical moves, hpooping to cipple Heracross's ability to fight back, if not KO him outright!

Zen Headbutt 1
10 - 1 - 4 = 5
(1)(4)(1)(3)(5)
5* + 3 + STAB - 3 - R + SE = 6 D6
(3)(5)(6)(2)(4)(5) Heracross takes 4 damage! 2/8 HP -2 Pain
(6)(5)(5) Heracross Flinches!

Force Palm 2
(1)(6)(4)
2 + 5* + STAB - 3 - R - Resisted = 5 D6 - 2
(4)(1)(1)(5)(3) No damage!
(6)(6)(2) Heracross was Paralyzed!

Ice Punch 3
(6)
3 + 5* - 3 - R = 5 D6 - 1
(4)(5)(1)(2)(1) No damage again!
(6) Heracross was Frozen!

Medicham lays into Heracross with blow after blow after blow.  The combination of punches and kicks leave the bug reeling in pain.

And then that final punch seals the deal.  Medicham punches Heracross into a snowman, and the snow completely buries him.  He manages to break free immediately with an Arm Thrust, but he's still completely winded.

And for once, he doesn't feel so Intimidating.

Because if he stays in, he's totally finished.  And the odds of him taking another hit without fainting are really low even if he comes back in later.

Whether Kogeki wants to switch or not, Heracross is backing out of the fight.  Who's facing Medicham next?

Camper Zach Round 1

This is such a rare move on Nidorina, almost nobody would see it coming the first time it's used!

Lovely Kiss
(4)(5)(3)(3) Mwah!  Nidorina plants a big ol' kiss on Gabite's cheek!
Gabite falls Asleep!

Zach blinks a few times.  "...what the...hey, no sleeping in the middle of a hailstorm, Gabite!"

Wake Up 1-3
(1)(6)(1)
(6)(2)(3)
(6)(6)(2) 3 successes accumulated

Hail's falling on the battlefield.  Gabite and Nidorina both take 1 damage.

Quote:Yup, Juhani does indeed like the snow, though that probably wasn't the case at first.  After she's done jumping and running around, though, she calms down and almost seems to ignore the cold weather entirely.  She doesn't mind that nobody's joining in her fun and games, either.  In fact, she kinda prefers it that way, being a rather solitary creature at the moment.  Kee respecting her space doesn't go unnoticed, though, as a small part of Juhani does appreciate that.  It's weird, as being a starter pokemon, she has a natural instinct to work together with humans.  But also having survived in this harsh climate, she also has an 'every pokemon for themselves' mentality at times.  This Delta Grotle can sometimes be quite contrary, apparently...

Ohhhh, that contrary behaviour from his new Delta Grotle is fascinating for the local musician to watch. Actually, he has to work hard to not start laughing as Juhani being so moody reminds him on himself even - that's cute for sure, aww!~ And a bit troublesome only at the second thought, given that 1. not too many people get along well with Kee himself due to exactly that moodiness and 2. he already has a Pokemon with him that's prefering to be left alone.

Hummmmm..... Well then, taking another step by trying to pet that snow turtle to see how she reacts to human affection. He withdraws his hand quickly, just in case she bites. "Weeeeelllllll.... If ya don't like Fire Types, I won't force 'em upon ya. Leaving you unsupervised while I TRY to handle out a trade for one would be careless and dumb, so I'll recall you into your Ball for that time being, 'kay?" That leaves solely Octavia with Kee now, but her loyalty to him is way too strong to ask for being recalled as well. But just in case, as papa goes near any of these people at the port with firely Pokemon, she ducks herself into the hood of his hoodie as best as she can.

The NPC they approach then is.....

Re: (1) Tohjo
Pokemon Breeder Felix from the Tohjo area has arrived with a bunch of pokemon eggs in tow! A Ninetales is accompanying him and carefully warming the eggs with her fire.

.....because with that still lingering headaches, Kee does not want to deal with any show-offs now. That, and he guesses that girl doesn't really want to part with these Pokemon but rather, well, show them off and enjoy her five minutes of fame. Meh.

Kee's smart enough to not go TOO close to that Ninetales either to not accidently trigger her wrath or protective instinct. But, he gets as close as needed to get a good look at her: "That's certainly a beautiful kitsune you have there....!", he speaks up to Felix in a singsang-voice, "...And a caring mother on top of that." Even Octavia dares to take a look now, and she smiles approvingly - what pretty golden fur that fox-mum has, yes!~ "Say..... What brings ya two into this icy hellhole, looking for any rare Pokemon for breeding purposes?"

Kogeki once more analyze the situation. The odds of Heracross get fainted is very high. All the he received is really worry some. He keep his calm demeanor and whisper Heracross. "Heracross. If you desire to return, I will return you if you insist. But...I have a plan who might work. Your move, Flail, you have it if I remember. If we focus all our efforts in one single Flail, we might able to fainted Medicham, or at least make her so much wounded to Nagi finish her off."

"Again, I your trainer, and your safety is my priority. But if you have enough trust in my course of action, is up to you."

I leave Heracross to make his decision. If he decided to stay, and fight to the end, than he will use one single Flail using Will to ignore Pain. If, Antarki will come out to attack.
