Another day, another round of abridged posting!

- Ran's mostly pleased he'd set Uxie off on brainstorming the source/cause of his patchy Web of Knowledge and strange shenanigans the world over, and say as much to Azelf when they confront him about it. "Yup, and that ain't a bad thing in the slightest, in my esteemed opinion. If Uxie can eventually crack this case wide open by themselves, I'd say let him rack his big o' brain all they want!"
- Secretly, he's rather.....disturbed/concerned over the implications that Kee could possibly be either an extra-universal traveler or being created wholesale by the supernatural force, but doesn't say anything about it to anyone right now. He and the group have enough to worry about without adding existential crises to the mix, and maybe by getting to the bottom of this mystery they'll end up figuring out more about the colourful musician's deliema and how to help him.
- He'd politely say to Mespirt that yes, he and his partners would like them to make a Red Chain for them, though not before offering them some cocoa to help pep/warm them up a bit first.
- To Lucas, he agree with them for the most part, but cautions thems to not be too overconfident about their odds. "You may the champ, and me and my partners have enough Skill, power, and wit to match against the worst this supernatural mystery , but that don't mean it can't find someway to blindside us or play even dirtier. It was able to trap the pixies and pull the wool over Uxie's closed eyes, so who knows what other trickery its got up too. Point is, we need keep ourselves sharp and wary at all times, least we get Ambushed like Diam pulling a prank on me...."
- Finally, Ran's completely unsurprising about the partial reveal that Genesis' is something supremely unusual/possibly Legendary, simply nodding his head and going "Knew it," but doesn't elaborate much more, nor ask 'the man' what exactly he was. They'd already stonewalled him beforehand , and they were (for now) still very much an enigmatic old man, so getting anything out of them would be like squeezing blood from rocks in his opinion.
- If this is all/after everything is resolved in Mystri Stage, Ran would like to go back to B4 of the Temple to search that room beyond the 2nd set of closed doors, as he was quite serious about not leaving a stone unturned there.....unless Lucas already investigated the place (In which case, have them speak up)!
- Thereafter , Ran would be ready to head back to Snowpoint City, and report to Rowan about all the stuff they found out about the Temple/Sinjoh Ruins. He'd also want to make a deal with them concerning the A-Sands he caught, but that can wait after fully updating them and discussing his finds.

That was by all means effective enough, the floor of these Ruins is extremely uncomfortable - oh, and freakin' cold - to take a rest on, regardless how long. But maybe that was just what it needed to wake up if this was all just happening in his head - which it appearantly does not, hooray, Octavia's expressed delight to see her most beloved person in the WHOLE world is just to real for that. 'Expressed delight' = She tackles Kee, scatters fairy dust and shiny scales all over his clothes (again), wraps her ribbons almost too tightly around an arm of his, and refuses to stop nuzzling him until he reciprocates the affection. Not awaking from such a rough greeting would be close to impossible.

Both of them eventually turn towards Uxie, Kee featuring a thankful expression. "That's proof 'nough for THAT issue, indeed, thanks for the help concerning that. For the Tapu's sake...." Reality hits him hard now, and he HATES it.

Following their suggestion, he also summons said Oricorio, and interacts with the spectral bird like he does on a daily base, keeping discreet watch for any new oddities from her. He comes to the conclusion that she gives herself to him like she always does, nothing hints to any major event that might have...awoken an
extraordinaire behavior from her. All quietly, Kee drops that fatal question at her eventually: "You... You wouldn't fool me about that, would you...?" Yurei immediately faces him with fully open and sparkling bird eyes, expresses with a slow dance that she'd never do so; quite the contrary: She'd absolutely ENJOY to perform a double-summoning of him and her previous owner, but she can't do so because her current owner, Kee, is walking in the world of the living. "Thought so", is what she receives for that assurance, as well as a nostalgic and fond smile accompanied by a few strokes beneath her beak.

He's not judging Uxie. He's judging the whole thing, everything that has happened since that fatal moment he exited the soundboard room of the Virbank Gym, basically everything that has happened so far - from being inside that icy cave for whatever reason to talking with some Lake Trio Members now. That's a huge difference!

Octavia knows about that, and immediately charges into offensive mode as Ran quite effectively pissed her off. She bristles her blue fur heavily, waves her ribbons menacingly and looks like she's about to punce any moment, and on top of that she does not growl, but SNAPS and HISSES at the blacksmith with such a force that even a Poison Type would think twice before approaching her now. Her message should be clear regardless how uninsightful Ran is: 'You SHUT THE HECK UP or I'll MAKE YOU do so, You have not the SLIGHTEST idea of what he went through and everything, so it's EITHER you stop jumping into false and outright mean conclusions OR I will make sure that you do by showing you FIRST-HANDEDLY how much sheer force I can put into these delicate-looking ribbons by wrapping them around your lungs to squeeze out EVERY BIT of oxigen left in there with utmost joy, then filling your bronchial tubes with so much fairy dust that you'll choke blood before perishing painfully.'

Speak about being triggered badly, overreacting and Sylveon being cute and docile creatures.

THIS is something that he definitely does not miss, and it rises a whole army of red flags within him as well as turning around to the Being of Knowledge in a frantic manner. "WaitwaitWAIT. RIGHT. THERE. Uxie. ...What do ya mean by 'should not exist in this world'?! You JUST PROVED that I'm not dreaming this whole mess, Yurei assures me that it's all occuring HERE, HERE IN THE WORLD OF THE LIVING. If it's neither a dream, afterlife, NOR the real world I know and am familiar with, what is it then...?" That's more of a question asked to himself as he fails to get that, and Octavia has to jump in to prevent him from suffering a mental blue screen.

Huh. Now Kee's getting it, so HE, that guy right here, was that additional member of the, let's call it 'investigation team', the good professor was mentioning! How neat, that mystery's solved for now. Only more and bigger ones to come now.

He himself is more than fine with Lucas joining, as nothing he could think about would speak against that. Prof. Rowan let HIM join in too, after all. The local and colorul musician finds himself enjoying Lucas' confidence as well as willingness to provide protection - He finds himself wondering whether that's THAT needed though, but doesn't voice that, plus additional safety is barely ever wrong - and guidance - 'cuz getting lost within a huge icy mountain sounds 200% more uncomfortable than being lost within an icy cave. However, Kee won't treat him any differently because of what he has achieved, neither will he do so if he'd be to find out that he's the local Champion. Gym Leaders, Champions, Master Rank Contesters, they are all just people too behind that shining curtain.

What he does though, is approaching Lucas and giving him a confident and approving pat on the right shoulder, alongside a bold "Very well then. Here's for a successfull and glorious coopoeration then!~" And, Kee also takes that moment to give Lucas some sort of foreboding glance, one that more than clearly suggests that he's meaning it. It's coming along with those infamous 'shining glasses effect' before it turns into a sly smile:

The words given to Lucas are the following, spoken out if a neutral and quiet tone that's underining things more than it's necessary, only he is ale to hear Kee now. "You harm me, my Pokemon, or the bold young lady with the eyes of gold and silver, and I'll efficiently make you regret the time we've met with every fibre of your body by showing you how nasty a Toxic-Venoshock-combo from a potent Pokemon can be." He's not meaning any harm per se contrary to what it may look like though, neither does he believe Lucas would dare anything funny. However, Kee's trait of protecting anything he cares for to the degree of becoming a massive worrywart that'd give his own life before failing to protect them, shines through rather vividly.

Ran's snapped out of his laughter by fae fox' surprisingly caustic defense of their master (or not - Fairy types are known to be quite the contrary and nasty lot, if you provoke them) , appearing taken aback at first before it shifted into cold hard and unflappable seriousness as he smoothly plucked Stymph's Ball from his belt and Catherine by his side frowned and straightened up, now regarding them like a potential threat.

"Settle down, ya sparkling blue furball, or I'll tie ya ribbons into knots and give ya a thorough dusting. Was just having a good o' laugh about the snooze ya master was force to take, and meant nothing ill by it. Not like he hasn't yucked it up to himself about my decisions or mistakes, so some turnabout is fair game in me opinion. If ya disagree, I don't give a bloody and rotten fraction of a damn, and if you want to take your grievances out on me hide for that, come over here and play with me. I'll certainly have a blast making ya heel and need healing. So come on, try your luck. "

Well, Octavia has just learned first hand that Ran would not be Intimidate by a Pokemon, least not without offering his own threat of reprisal. He won't escalate things further, but if they attack, he'll certainly be the one to end things.

After a pause where everyone stares at each other silently, Mesprit continues.

Well then, now that I have your attention, let me just say this: this is NOT the time for conflict amongst ourselves. Don't forget that, or I'll have to force you to calm down. And trust me, you don't want me to do that.

Octavia by all means does not anger the very Being of Emotion, even if her loyalty to Kee knows NO boundary, neither figurative nor literally, there's just none and that's it - but, she doesn't feel like she did anything wrong here as her desire was to protect and defend him. Giving a final glare and smug gesture towards Ran and a sight of 'I'm done with overreacting now, I'm sorry if I overreacted according to you' to Mesprit, she trots back to her beloved and currently snoozing caretaker.

Ran gave the pink pixie a short, measuring look, before slowly nodding and placing his Pokeball back on his belt and motioned for his gelid gal to relax (Which they did so with a relieved sigh - she did NOT want to get into a fight with MESPRIT) .

"Alrighty then. Wasn't going to start or end anything unless they decide to first - heck, I didn't even mean to set them off like that in the first place - but you're right - this ain't the time for in-fighting. Thank ya for reminding me, Mesprit. "

And just like that, the bristly blacksmith back down. Not only because he didn't want a Legend anymore angry with him, but because they made a very good point and he agreed with it. Hopefully Octavia comes to the same conclusion as he, or things won't end well for either of them, most likely...

Perhaps an alternate dimension is involved? That would certainly explain a few things, but it would also beg the question of how he arrived in the Cave of Knowledge in the first place...hmmm...the only way to know for sure is probably going to involve going to Spear Pillar and finding out what's REALLY going on...

Lucas does indeed speak up. "Headed back to check out the rest of the entrance to the Sinjoh Ruins? Don't worry about that. I cleaned the place out while I was there. Can't leave any stones unturned, after all!"

Things are getting more and more interesting just after Kee came to the conclusion that ALL OF THIS MESS is happening for real. In a bold strike of insight and sudden realization, he joins in Uxie's vivid and audible thinking by adding "That'd be one way to explain why Juhani was so confused about being 'weakened' strength-wise under my command. Alternate dimension.... For Heaven's sake..." He facepalms as this thought hits him hard, and Octavia shudders in response. "I see, I see, go to Spear Pillar for answers, right? ...Okay then, will do. It's not like I have a choice."

That serious look is eagerly returned, for a few moments it looks like there is indeed a battle on the verge of being agreed on - then, to break all this tension, Kee's falling into a rather mellifluous laughter . "Nope, that's not a challenge. Don't feel like fighting now anyway. I just like those I care for and have meaning for me to be kept on a tight lash, tied up in my Sylveon's ribbons and harboured down in the cellar of my place so that I can be 100%ly sure that they are safe, sound and protected from any harm that life may throw at them just because~" He pauses to let that sink in.

"...No way, that's outright cruel, creepy and somewhat gross! You're a good guy though, so much eagerness on top of modesty!~" Lucas gets a few sympathy points because of his jolly attitude, it's jolliness that he's not faking even according to Octavia's discreet act of reading his feelings when she touched his shoulder earlier,
