The psychic butler visibly grimaces at the revelation of Kyubi no really being 'herself' as he knew it anymore, causing him to let out a forlorn *Sigh....* while bowing their head in contemplation/silent unhappiness.

This is.....discomforting news for me, Mr. Arendse, so do please forgive me for being overly emotional about this. *Sigh* The Kyubi I knew was a refined lady, yet despite her high class she was magnanimous and kind towards others that have not earned Mr. Sterling's ire in one form or another. She was bold, fiercely motivated , and a bit overbearing in her affections at times, but most found that endearing rather than a negative quality. She was also a worrywart when it came to Mr. Sterling's health and wellbeing, but I suppose that didn't amount to much in the end. *Sighs* I could spend hours recounting what Ms. Sterling was like in my eyes, but that is rather meaningless if she has no recollection or desire of her 'past self'. Seeing her like that, though......it was hard not to break my composure and ask them what was the matter...."

The butler falls silent as he says this, lost in his own minds as he recounted memories of his once beloved mistress, and coming to terms that she was lost to everyone, including herself...

'You'll return the ledger afterwards, yes? There's a lot of information in that book that would be very interesting for the wrong people. Or I could simply have Mew copy the notes I took.'

'Well, from what you're telling me, that means her personality hasn't changed much at all. That's good. Besides, I'm not sure she'd enjoy remembering the events that lead to her death, particularly since she'd likely feel a bit...conflicted if she did.'

'She might still be open to having a friendly chat, you know. Conversation just might be a bit dryer than usual. I can talk to her about that if you wish.'

'Reiner' lets out a grunt at you initial remarks, as 'he' didn't really care nor sympathize with a madman that more often than not was the cause of his own damn troubles, but could understand the desire for to finally relax after a busy night. The declared excitement/happiness over having your life being repeatidly threatened, however, got them to look in your direction with a raised eyebrow and a look of faint disbelief, before they let out a sigh and shook their head. "You have a warped sense of what constitutes as 'fun', Arial, but if you are so thrilled by constant danger and threats to your life, I guess being my bodyguard was not too bad of a life choice. Just cut it out with your attempts at humor, as I nor my Pokémon appreciate being subjected to your slapstick, and take thing more seriously for now on, 'cause next time I might not be able to bail your ass out of whatever fire you happen to land yourself in. *Sighs* Oh, and your welcome...."

At your next question, your 'boss' lets out another sigh, before shaking his head yes. It was better to let Arial now than at a later, more inconveniat time for 'him' and everyone else....

The psychic bulter looks a little relieved at your assessment of Kyubi's personality/mental state, but it doesn't disperse all the gloominess surrounding him. "That's....a relief to hear Mr. Arendse. Still, I noticed she far more timid and unsociable than she was in the past, is mostly clueless or uncertain about many a thing, and appears to have an even stronger dependency or affection towards you than she had with her late husband, so her personality has gone some significant changes since her...death. What worries me the most, though, is her connection and love she harbors for you now, sir. She loves and cares for you dearly, as much or perhaps even more than she did with Mr. Sterling, and the fact that strong bond was built towards you in only course of a day is.....concerning. I know that you will take good care of her, but I still advise you to be....gentle with her, as she's quite receptive to any and everything you do in regards to her, both good or ill...."

At your suggestion of talking with Kyubi herself, Mr. Mime firmly but politely shakes his head. " I don't wish to force her into a conversation that would serve only for my benefit and her great discomfort, Mr. Arendse. I thank you for the offer, though." The butler then looked a bit more nervous as he was about to say something else, before letting out a sigh and plainly saying to you: "There is one more thing I need to speak with you about Kyubi, and its a rather....delicate topic. I would prefer to have your discersion in this before I speak of it, as if words of this spread around to the wrong ears....then things could go terribly amiss."

"I promised at least try. The humor is kinda part of me you know? The life in Tandor was not easy. I always live in Bealbeach city when I was young, and that streets was not...kinda gentle with little kids. Even more without the guidance of a family. I always fight to survive since the day I remember as a person." Arial remember the days when he need to rob and even kill to survive back in Tandor. "But, at least the person who raise was the only human I could consider as a father took care of me, and teach me something I never forget: "Even if your life is like shit and you live a miserable conditions, you must always keep a smile in your face. Because the strong ones is the ones who can laugh, even if the world is against you." So yeah, thats why I always try to hang out and have at least some fun in the missions, but I will at least try to take more serious. And thats bring my question."

Then Arial took a few seconds to bring the question. "Why did you guys save me? Well, I know you came to take revenge over Riza for attack you all and killed many, but that doesn't explain why you rescue me, since I was acting as a jerk with you Reiner. Kick you, rush in your direction with a big pokemon, been anoying, I make terrible puns and one of my pokemons hit you with a Water Gun. In your place if someone would that with me, I would stick to leave some Vampire to drain his blood until its die. So why?"

'Reiner' went silent as 'he' listened and felt the impact of your explaination as to why you always tried to be somewhat comical, before quietly letting out a sigh and saying: "So long as you keep it under control when it matters most and spare me the worst of it, you can be as humerous as you like Arial. *Sigh* I recommend you practice a bit more on when and where you starting joking around, though. Timing is an essential part of comedy, and telling a joke at the wrong time can kill it more thoroughly than a Dragon rampaging through the crowd. Well, maybe not that severe, but you get the point."

Your next question caused them to sharply look in your direction and stare at you for a moment, as they contemplated WHY they felt it necessary to save the proverbial ball and chain of the group. After a minute of this, they just calmly and plainly tell you the answer. "Because we protect our own, Arial. No matter how irritable or dickish you act, you are still a part of the team, and teammates help one another out when they can and if its possible. You've helped me several times in the past when I was a pinch, and you ended up taking care of the Vampire without us having to have a prolonged, dangerous fight with her next to a hive of giant angry hornets, so I'd say you are earning your keep. Megearly and with great annoyance, but you are doing you part as a bodyguard and helper. *Heavy Sigh* All I just want is you to take your job more seriously and not piss off or weird out everybody we end up meeting with, alright? Is that too much to ask for?"

Arial took several seconds listening to his words. Arial is...part of the team? Sure its true he help with his part but, he did not expect that to hear that in Reiner mouth. Even with all the time he live under the Rockets he never felt being "part" of any group or felt anything about the others grunts inside there. No one ever tell he was something like part of some group, nor Arial felt like the need to say that.

"Because we protect our own Arial."

That words sounds so much strange in Arial ears. Its against the things he have forced to accept back in Tandor: That you cant believe and no one, and you must fight for survive and sustent, and each one its each one by itself. The only type of company he could feel "in home" was beside their pokemon partneers: Gaspar, Melchior and Baltazar back in that time. He feel bad about the way he act before. "Well, err, thats something I never expect hear. To be honest I was expecting you to be still piss off and fired me after this ends, but you saying I...part of the team, and protect our own and teamates help each other...that was the last thing I expect to hear. And you thank me for save you several times...even more less. Perhaps I a madman and hater of humanity in general...but its quite cool feel part of something." Then Arial continues say. "Its not much Reiner. I dont like promises, but I promise to take this job a little more serious and try to not piss off everyone. And Reiner..." Then Arial looks to other direction. "Thank you, frie...mate. It means...a lot to me. Honestlely."

"You'll find a friend that will help you as you try to help them, and together you'll make it through whatever difficulties that lay before you."

For some reason that little part of the vision pops out in Arial mind. He try to forget those words and put his mind in the right direction. Talk with Riza and them tell Reiner about the information he have. "There is other thing I would like to ask, but I will leave that for later. We are starve and its better to take care of the stomach before anything."

You received a sharp nod of 'Reiner's' head and a slight relieved smile pop up from out of nowhere (In your eyes) at you words of thanks and affirming your promise to (At the very least) minimize the trouble you tend to cause, before they reclined back into their spot on the couch and closed their eyes as they finally let themselves ease up after a long, looooong night. Kyubi, who had been quietly listening to the conversation between you and her 'Master', turned to give you a soft, thankful look for not antagonizing them anymore this night and trying to be a good teammate, before they turned away and leaned into 'Reiner' with a sigh of contentment. She knew it wasn't really her Master that was sitting right there beside her, but still their presence helped comfort her in this strange yet familiar place....

Gaspar hear the conversation between Reiner and Arial and he couldnt but feel a bit proud about his Master growing up and learning how to take things a little more serious. Arial was rest a bit in his place trying to have some peace of mind to sleep for the next day. Gaspar them look in Kyubi direction and feel her feeling of out of place and everything. Then he do something. He aproach her and let a "Meow" almost asking about "How are you? Rought day?". Arial see that and decided to aproach a little to Kyubi to talk with her. He...did not have a good conversation since she came, and decided to do something Reiner told him to do: Work in his social skills. "Hey Kyubi. Are you okay?" Arial did not really know how to begin a conversation, since Kyubi might still be piss off with him about everything.

'Well, there'es probably multiple reason's for her newfound timidness. For one, memory loss. Second, she did die and spend at least a few hours (that probably felt like an eternity) in what I could only describe as limbo before we brought her back, which I can't imagine was pleasant. Third...well, she's not quite a Ninetales any more, as I'm sure you heard. But she's also not quite human, either. She's some mixture of the two, and she's only able to go out into public and interact with people without weirding them out or scaring them by maintaining an illusion. However, if someone were to shake her hand, they'd feel fur and claws. The illusion is merely visual.'

'I do think she could potentially benefit from talking with you, seeing as there wouldn't be much of anything for her to hide. Maybe she doesn't want to remember everything from her old life, but she's fairly likely to have few friends aside from me and my pokemon for quite awhile. But that's just my opinion, I guess. She's got nobody but me to really interact with, so that's probably a big reason why she's so...attached. Plus, it's been a REALLY weird day for both of us...'

The fiery vixen in disguise was a little surprised by Gasper almost casually prowling towards her and asking for her wellbeing, and your question also caught her off guard too, but she soon let out a small chuckle and reached over to pet the mimic between their ears, earning her a rumbling *purr* from them. "I'm....feeling a bit lost right now, yet strangely at home here, but I'm think I'm alright. Today has been.....eventful for me, and I'm still learning about everything, but I have Reiner with me to provide support and guidance when I need it. I'll...I'll adjust to things eventually, so long as I take things slowly with him by my side."
