That, and the mental image of a Ralts flailing at a target is kinda hilarious.

No kidding.  Hopefully it won't take too long to get Confusion though.  Though I guess with just this single strike right now, it's a bit less like flailing and more like a singe slap?  It's probably going to be about as effective as slapping a large mass of plant matter irl, too...I'll keep the suggestion in mind for the future.

Actually, thinking about it, you should probably be keeping that advice in mind too.  Especially since Metronome is Togepi's only 'reliable' way of doing damage until it either evolves or learns Ancient Power/Double-Edge. Or gets a damaging move via TM/tutor.

Actually, given you can control up to 2 Mons in a fight without penalty, people with Mons that lack a reliable way of doing regular damage (Ralts, Togepi) might want to consider snagging a bug or two from Route 1.
That way they can focus on debuffs while their battle partner piles on damage. That could make for some easier training.

Iron was kind enough to allow 2 trainers per wild battle. We could pair off and have the combat Mons shepherd a capture attempt. The cash and XP from that wouldn't hurt either.

Alright, feel free to join us at the P.C. now.  That's about as much time without the rest of the group as we're going to get, unless they decide to dawdle for some reason.  (With that Togepi so badly damaged, I doubt Ventus will though.)

As mentioned in the plot thread, I'm looking at picking up a buddy 'Mon for my Growlithe, though I'm happy to let the trainers without combat 'Mons take a first pick.
On a metaplot scale: I'm up for leaving for Ginger, though I'd prefer to snag a bit of training first.

Indeed. Keep in mind that while we, the players, have a pretty good idea of what your RP character Larry's intensions are, our RP characters do not. You have to communicate with us in game if we want to 'know' what you are going to do, if you want any meaningful interaction from us.
 
As for my plans, I am hoping to gather enough funds to buy that camping gear, do a bit of research regarding Ekans socialization (We have two Ekans that were a nest, and my Character main purpose is Pokémon Sociology), and get my Togepi taken care of. After that, or maybe perhaps during, my character may be able to help Ralts learn Confusion. While he's not Psychic, he is highly empathetic.

Well, don't try to do that all at once.  At least when it comes to those Ekans.  Don't need them causing havoc because all we have against them is fairies they're going to absolutely maul.

Anyway, as for plans, I assume my chara's should be clear - head off to Ginger Town, because that's where the Daycate Center is appearantly offering a job. On the way, train to have Ralts learn Confusion, since Nathan " would greatly appreciate this". (Couldn't help but to display her taking this as a hidden compliment in the situation~)

@PhantomUnderYourDesk You still have most of your character's money, right? Maybe Ventus and Shiva can pool their money to buy some camping gear from Mallorn, if they are willing. Otherwise Ventus going to be stuck in town doing small jobs to get that gear...

Exactly 1100$, yes. If you approach her and Cottonee nicely enough and talk with common sense, she will share you some of it.

EDIT: + 900$ if she works for three days in the Daycare Center.
