as larry was at the lab larry let ekans and oshawott out to see how the two get along and saw that ekans was hungry and thought "thank arceus for it being dinner time" and told ekans "don't worry its almost dinner time" and petted the snake to help it relax from that battle

"I'm sorry boss, but the best I can do on a revive is 1500$. These things cost money and resources to produce. I recommend you take it to the Pokemon Center - they can still treat a Pokemon that's not in a Pokeball."
There's a list of item prices in your character sheet, one of the other tabs.
Nurse Joy finds the Mankey adorable and would be happy to treat it.
"We could put it in a cage or a Temporary Ball and try to get it delivered down Breakneck Ridge to the Divide. It could be happy there without ever seeing too many people. Or west to the Earthstar Forest, which has a Ranger station. Or one of you could work with it; I'm sure it would become loyal eventually given plenty of opportunities to fight. It could learn to trust you if you make good choices for it."
Nathan's mother breathes a sigh of relief as the Mankey and Ekans are carted off (or whatever you decide to do with it.) "Mt. Molten is a dangerous and unpredictable place! Make sure you bring Ralts with you from now on if you go exploring even at its base."
Reminder to everyone to check out what XP can buy; I listed most of them in notes in the relevant sections of the character sheet. A little hint about what you spend your XP on doesn't hurt, like how Winston learned Ember.

"Mom, Ralts doesn't even know Confusion yet. I plan to fix that soon, but even with Ralts, that would have been way hairier than I wanted it to be. I do NOT want to put Ralts in any unnecessary danger."
This sounds like a conversation the two of them have had many times before. Ralts clearly looks just a tad bit uncomfortable about it, too.

Nurse Joy: "Ok, you can borrow a Temporary Ball. Just give it to the Nurse Joy when you get there. These are expensive so I'll want it back."
Mrs. Nathan: "Well, I can give you a ride home if you are through here. You and Ralts will need lots of rest, and I think I'll need you on the ranch tomorrow. One of our Ponyta, that old troublesome one, escaped yesterday and it's making the other Pokemon anxious. We need to brush them all down, feed them an extra treat, and give them plenty of exercise. Also we need to make sure their homes are as clean as possible."

"Seriously? Again? That's the fourth time this month...I'll go look for her tomorrow. She can't have gone far, right? As for that ride home...no, I'm not done here quite yet. I need to do some training with Ralts. I think it's about time he finally learned how to use his psychic powers for more than empathy..." He trails off at this point, not wanting to elaborate on WHY he thinks so. "I'll be home in a couple hours, I'm sure. Actually, thinking about it..."
Nathan pulls out his pokedex, showing it to his mom. "This has got a phone function in it, in addition to a surprising amount of other functions. I'll call the house phone when I'm finished." He takes a moment to register his home's phone number in the device, then puts it away. He hopes that will alleviate at least some of his mother's worry.

Wait, there was Larry, alongside an Ekans *ugh, snakes again!*... near them, a Mankey. Appearantly defeated. Appearantly poisoned. Nathan was standing in front of it, seemingly protecting it? Oh well - was this the threat Ventus mentioned? Looks like they are indeed too late, but at least the danger has been averted already.
Shiva didn't even realised how much breath she spend on the way and had to catch up on that now. Sport, especially if it's endurance sport, is definitelly not her thing... She nudges Ventus on the shoulder. "Eh, Ven?...Was this the... danger you... were talking about?"
"Apparently the danger has passed while we were running about. Fortunately, there are not any more Mankey, so things will finally quiet down a bit. At least, I hope so," Ventus said, looking slilently on the scene in front of him. Watching Larry and Nathan treat the injured Mankey, he was pleased to see them take proper care of it. He would have admittedly tried taken it to a Pokémon center for the Nurses to deal with it, but using Temporary Balls does the job just as well; and probably admittly much safe way.
"I'm sorry for dragging you all the way out here for nothing then, Shiva. I promise I'll make it up to you at the soonest convinance. Right now, I need to speak with the Ponyta rider" he said, before stalking over to her. Examining her, he found much the same qualities as in her son (He did call her mom, if he heard right) Nathan, except she seemed to have a much fiercer and protective temperament. 'Given that she's his mother and own what sounds like a ranch of Ponyta, I don't find myself too surprised. At the very least, I should be able to talk to he without any motherly backlash, so I believe its time for me to apologize to her,' he pondered.
Cranning his head up to Ms Nathan, he bowed to her respectfully, keeping a fair distance from the Ponyta. He doesn't want to rile it up and get trampled, after all. "Hello, mam, I do not believe we had the pleasure of meeting before, but my name is Ventus Zackarieh. I'm a Pokémon Researcher from Unova, here on a Visa to conduct my research on behalf of Dr. Mallorn. As for him being on Mt. Molten unaccompanied by his Pokémon, that would be my fault. After we reached the Pokémon Center, I requested we have go somewhere to answer some personal questions of mine, while I answered his in turn," he said, taking a shallow breath before smiling bashfully, and continued.
"We ended up in the forests surrounding the base of Mt. Molten, and unfortunately drew the attension of the local predators. We managed to escape and get help, in the end, but it was my fault that he ended up on the mountain to begin with, so if you are going to blame anyone, then please direct it my way, not his. I should have know better than leave without MY pokemon, after all," Ventus said, looking appropriately chagrined and embrassed by erroneous course of action. In hindsight, things would have gone much differently if they just waited for there Pokémon, but that was then, and this is now. 'I learn from my mistakes, so that I never do them again. All I just hope right now is that Nathan doesn't take any blame for this, and that his mom forgives me,' he though.
Suddenly, though, he began to feel very faint, and started to sway on his feet. Looking to the group, he smiled bashfully again, before saying "Well, since I haven't gotten any sleep since a few days prior to arriving in Chesire, fought against a nest of Ekans, and have been running all over surround area because of a rouge Mankey, I believe I'm about to pass out. I'm terribly sorry about this," he said, before his eyes closed and he collapsed where he was standing. Oh my.

'And he was telling Mallorn to take care of himself earlier...good grief...' Nathan's a little unsure about what to do about Ventus fainting though, and is just standing there with a look of pure surprise on his face. He's waiting to see what his mom does first.

Damn. Just as the threat of an enraged Mankey has been taken care of and things seemed fine again, they intensified. A lot. This situation wasn't any less alarming at all.
Shiva was terrified to see him faint, but barely suprised. Sure, he already arrived out of breath at the Pokemon Center, and almost immediatly continued running? Plus stressing himself... Of course this would take its toll sooner or later. She was suprised though that it does so that quickly. Fool...
She came over to him, with Cottonee floating next to her, then kneed down by his side to take his hand. Good, he still has a pulse. And no visible injuries from falling. Just exhausted...he should feel better after a proper rest. However, the sky has turned darker meanwhile... Dusk is falling. Better bring him to a safer place. One of the dorms in the Pokemon Center should be fine... Vincent is probably there as well... How to get Ventus there in the first place, though...
... Ah! Maybe... She glanced at the Ponyta that has been observing the situation ever since, then faced who appearantly happend to be Nathan's mother. Yes, it was his mother. She had a similar, if not the same sparkle of determination in her eyes. "Uhm... I'm sorry that I have to ask you this out of the blue, but could you lend us your Ponyta's strenght to escort him back to the Pokemon Center, please? You see, it's getting darker... And I'd appreciate not being forced to stay with him here until he woke up."
Turning to Nathan himself - he seemed a little overwhelmed by today's happenings - she replied to him to better delay training to tomorrow, before focusing on his mother again, waiting and hoping for a response, still holding his hand he denied earlier. Seconds surely were long is such situations.
... He mentioned Unova.
