[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
This time your mom is speaking much more intelligibly.

"How's your trip, Larry? Zorua sure has been hyperactive lately. Let me put him on!"

"Darkness...Dreams..."

"Aw, such a cute fox. : ) Where does he get this stuff??"

Larry then thought of the moment they arrived at Corsage port in the condo "then a darkness fills the air as giratina spawned in front of Cyrus and took him to the next dimension" Larry's mom read from a book "good night mom" says Larry "sweet dreams honey" Larry's mom replied "dream" says zorua

"Zorua you almost gave me a heart attack!" Larry says in a mad tone "sorry mom" zorua replied sounding like Larry, Larry then said "I'm Larry zorua say Larry" "Larry" zorua says "mom I thought some dark type or ghost type killed you and zorua I was so scared I thought I would have lost you guys too" Larry then said good bye and hung up.

"Praise arceus!" Larry shouted "their ok! I'm so glad that their safe!" Larry then let ekans out not knowing witch pokemon it was and huged ekans saying "I am so relieved that this is over!" As ekans struggles with getting out of Larry's arms

"Well now that that's over time for some weedle hunting" and walks off forgetting about his ekans

NOW READY FOR WEEDLE

Approaching Survivalist Clancy to ask about the lost Ponyta. Trying to avoid a fight on grounds of being utterly broke. Yep. We're in a Detective Conan sketch.

Getting an unruly Pokemon with a history of generally being jerk to people out of a public area is Vincent's current focus. Worry about the little things later. Serve and Protect and all that jazz.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Watching the other trainers go about their business, Vincent, reaches down and pops the catch on his remaining Pokeball, freeing his Paras in a flash of light.

"Not quite home, Moran, but I figured you'd want to stretch for a bit. Just stay close and please don't wander too far." He retrieves the food bowl and gently places on the ground next to him. "I'll be back in a bit."

Snatching the bowl, the bug gamely flips it over it's head and scuttles into some undergrowth, the bright red bowl peeking out  of the foliage.

"Winston. Just keep an eye on him for a bit and stay out of trouble. I need to go talk. The both of you come running if there's trouble, got that?"

Mentally, he weighs what he's doing. He's not planning on going far, just about ten to fifteen meters, and definitely not out of earshot, close enough for his Pokemon to scoot over if needed, so he's not exactly all that worried. On the other hand, approaching a trainer without 'Mons at hand did tend to diffuse any tensions from overly eager combatants itching to start a fight.

"BEING BROKE HELPS TOO."

You shut up.

"Trainer!" He calls, approaching the survivalist waving. "Need a bit of help. Not here to fight."

He waits until he has the survivalist's attention, then continues. "Name's Vincent Lee. I'm helping a friend keep an eye out for a stray Ponyta that's been causing a bit of a ruckus. Belongs to a local ranch, so in all probability it's likely chipped," and thus illegal to capture - but he doesn't verbalize the implication. "Bit of a wild streak supposedly and definitely not shy of causing problems for trainers and passers-by. I need to rein it in before it actually hurts someone out here. Have you seen it?

And a bit of flattery to play to the ego won't hurt. He nods inwardly.

"I approached you because I figured that only a survival expert like you would be able to discern anything if they came across anything that would hint to the passage of a horse... or even a large fire type? Do you have any information that could help?"

Vincent struggles to resist the lure of Clancey's battle-ready gaze, even without Pokemon.

Clancey chaws on a Berry, then spits. "Naw, I ain't seen no fire horse, nor any sign of it. But I just came in from across the river, and y'all came from the west, so it must be east a' here. Got anything you can put up as collateral for a little battle? That tent'd do... or any sorta healing item mebbe?"

Weedle Round 1

Ekans follows Larry over. It wants to fight!

But for now, Larry will try to weaken Weedle with Oshawott's Tackle.

Oshawott's Initiative: 1d6+2 = 7
Weedle's Initiative: 1d6+2 = 3

Tackle
Acc: 2 dice
(3)(2) Complete miss.

Angry at being left behind and at the Oshawott not succeeding, Ekans interjects (initiative 8).

Ekan's Poison Sting
Acc: 2 dice
(4)(6) - hit
Dmg: 1Str + 1 power +1 STAB = 3 dice
(1)(1)(1) hahahahahahaha - that's a (-1) success. Sorry. And sorry for laughing.

The sting glances right off Weedle's horn.

Weedle's Poison Sting

While Oshawott is nearby, Weedle sinks its horn right into his flank.

Acc: 2 Dex + 1 Fight = 3 dice
(5)(2)(4) - 2 success, hit.
dmg: 3 dice
(3)(1)(5) - Oshawott takes 1 damage
poison chance: (3) - fail

What are your orders, Poliwag fighters?

Vincent, you have time to join an encounter slot if you wish.

(I'm not attacking that Poliwag before Ventus allows and directly asks Shiva to do so. After all, he said he wanted to investigate it before attacking it at all.)

The Poliwag is playing in a small puddle, splashing about. It seems to be alone, and it seems like it gets most of its food from pond scum.

"Well. You did do me a solid, right?" Vincent gives a slightly resigned sigh. "My priority is finding that Ponyta, Trainer, but if you're so eager to battle, what say we do an abbreviated fight for fifty, and I've got a quart of potion left." He waves the nearly empty spray bottle, letting what's left of the healing liquid slosh around in the bottom. "You win, it's yours. I win, you top me up a quart. How about that."

"One round, one 'Mon and let's try to avoid fainting since I've still got to go look for that ornery horse. No sense leaving the other party standing around like an idiot in the wild either, nice enough as Route 01 is."

"You up for it..." He pauses "I didn't catch your name, by the way..."
