Like I said, pushing that Ralts button is a dangerous game, Windos. Nathan wouldn't have complied. Not only is he willing to go to almost any length for Ralts, Ventus was outnumbered. And Aspis was likely still a little injured from the poliwag earlier. That situation was likely not in his favor at all. And if Nathan loses his cool, he's going to explode.

Nathan thinks Ventus was a fool, not Shiva. He doesn't feel like he needs to apologize to Shiva either, since she's not the one he was quarreling with, nor does he think he's the one at fault here (it was Ventus that started it, after all. And threatened to attack him after he stated some of his reasoning as calmly as he could manage). That's why he messaged her and not Ventus. Seeing as Shiva hasn't said a word about the Deyo flowers to Nathan, he's not got any quarrel with her yet.

He healed Apsis earlier, but that is besides the point. The point is that I think neither of us want our RP character at each other's throat, so lets hope nothing exasperates things any further.

Ah yes, right. I forgot about that part. In any case, that's going to be a VERY difficult bridge to repair. If you want them at each others' throats though, just threaten Ralts directly. Just see what Nathan does in response. I doubt that will happen, but trust me, it wouldn't be pretty.

She doesn't know a thing about the deyo flowers. After all, they were not listed in any of her books - to her, these were just strange but very lovely flowers that had some weird yet unharming effect on Pokemon. Seeing how negatively Ven reacted to these though, she decided that it may be better to avoid them. Ven would not react like this without a reason, probably that's what Nathan missed and Shiva quickly noticed. All he cared was about Ralts. He doesn't have to aplogise to her directly, but she at least expects him to be sorry for what he caused with his determination to stay and investigate these flowers. Whether he is, is absolutely your choice.

It's true, she dislikes conflict... But she doesn't care to intervene like Vincent did. That was a thing between Nathan and Ventus, intervening would just make everything more difficult.

"Yeah, alright.  As good a time as any to get some practice in, I guess.  Gotta start somewhere after all."

Nathan mimics Vincent's starting position, ready for the training.  He looks over at Ralts and Swiftfire.  "Come on, you two.  You need to get stronger too."  The two pokemon approach a little reluctantly, but are willing to give it a try.  "Alright, teach'.  What do we do?"  The question is as much a curious one as a means to distract Nathan from what happened earlier.  He didn't want to think about that moment.

I'd say a good chunk of this is actual advice, foggily remembered from physical combat school back when I was in active service.

It's fluffy rubbish, but it's fluffy rubbish somewhat grounded in reality.

Considering Nathan spent some time making that Deyo Powder, we can likely assume the text and the call occurred within a few minutes of each other. That might also mean the characters who were supposed to receive them might be otherwise preoccupied at the time they were sent...

I'm fine with that interpretation. The groups is going to meet up again at some point, so you could say that his call went straight to voice mail without him knowing...
