Every trainer gets 1XP because it's a new day.
Does Togepi have enough XP for Metronome? (5) - or at least 4, that he could learn it after a few hour training session.
Apsis gains 3XP because Carnivine is a decent difficulty. And you gain 1 Xp.
It would take most of a day to retreat to a Pokemon Center (trillium town) or you expect to be in Ginger also in a day.
You naturally heal 1hp every 8 hours - I will houserule that you can double this with good rest and proper care.
One potion instantly heals 4hp. A subsequent potion in a day heals 2 more hp. Then 1hp.
Health will become easier to manage once you have multiple Pokemon to spread the damage over, and more money for Potions.

Togepi has exactly 5 XP right now, so it can learn it right way, if Ventus' instruction work out alright. Thanks for the info, mate!

(1)(1)(2) Well then.
Pidgey flutters up onto your hand and accepts the food. After all, no other picnicker has attempted to harm it while feeding it!
"Hey. There's a good bird."
He reaches down, offering the pidgey an opportunity to hop onto his arm as he fishes out another piece of hard tack with his free hand.
"Given how much you like this stuff, I'm surprised you haven't found yourself a trainer." He offers the bird another piece of hard tack.
"You want to come along for the ride? You're already plenty tame and regular meals probably beats hustling picnickers for scraps, little guy."
And then Ventus killed it and fed it to his snake.

Oh yeah, Nathan should have gotten $50 from Mallorn for registering Ponyta's data in the dex, right?

![[Image: WTF%20Noa_zpsfdp20adr.jpg]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c322/tigerassault/WTF%20Noa_zpsfdp20adr.jpg) Apsis only eats wild Pokémon. Ventus was quite adamant with her on that point. Just make sure that when the group is together, you inform him of your new addition. Otherwise he might hunt it on accident...

Just noticed that everyone has at least two Pokemon on hand by now, while I 'only' have the Cottonee from beginning.
Nevermind! Like if that would bother her. Personally, Shiva will only catch those Pokemon she really wants to have, mostly those that are somehow special or/and rare (like Espurr... Minicorn... Eevee!). This also prevents what Ventus told about Fairy-Type Pokemon, how they might demand most of the owner's attention while the others can just compete for the rest of it.
If the dice aren't cruel, she will be the very last one who runs out of Pokeballs.

I'm thinking there are arguments for either strategy. Having lots of Pokemon species and a variety of movepools can help you in combat AND in terrain. Like Nathan can now scout ahead.
But it also takes us a long time for every encounter, and money is different because you aren't fighting 20 trainers in an hour like you would in the gameboy games. So Pokeballs might be more limited, and it takes a long time to train up moves, and you will want to bond carefully with each new acquisition. Those are arguments for being very selective when filling your team.
