[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
2XP for Ralts and 1XP for Nathan for Staryu. Plus the 50$ of course.

Staryu knows Tackle, Harden, and Water Gun.

Larry is going for lots of pokemon lol. Larry also will be very head on with his strategy mainy attacks, not much stat buffing debuffing moves on his mons.

How much HP, happiness, and loyalty does Staryu currently have?

Staryu has 3HP plus your Vitality (so 4 total, right?)

I actually had it backward: Loyalty will be 0, because happiness and loyalty both start at 2. Then Loyalty is reduced by pain penalization.

His Happiness will be 1 because he was caught in a Pokeball instead of cajoled into joining you. Since he has no disobedience, he will still follow any reasonable orders.

I mean how much HP does it have currently.  Considering it had 5 max (2 when caught) when it was on its own and 4 now, I'm a little confused as to what current HP it should have.

Oh yeah, that's sort of impossible.

Calculate current HP based on how many HP it had left, not how much damage it took. So it has 2 out of 4 HP.

I just realized that Ralts would have Traced Illuminate while battling that Staryu. There would have been a lot of bright lights in that battle for more than one reason...I hope that didn't attract anything particularly scary...

@Super_trainer_Larry

Okay, Larry, here's what's going on with Mankey. When we beat it up in Trillium, we were wondering what to do with it since we couldn't just release back into the place we found it. The forest it attacked us in normally has no wild pokemon in it. So Nurse Joy suggested we either let her handle it or we put it in a temporary ball and release it back into the wild at one of the mountains if none of us wanted to try training it.

Larry decided we should do the second option (without consulting anybody else on the matter, but nobody seems to disagree with the plan).

Now, as for what just happened...it appears that Mankey doesn't want Larry to train him, at the very least. Considering you were the one who beat him up, that's not surprising to me. But, he doesn't want to go back to Mt. Molten either. And Larry just saw right through that little fit of anger the Mankey had by giving him the choice to either stay there where there's food and protection or go elsewhere where there's freedom and upset trainers.

I actually hinted at this in the battle : D

And yeah, Mankey is always just looking for trouble. You will have to build up its Loyalty if you want a shot at commanding it properly. But it has decided it can cause more trouble with you than elsewhere!
