Hearing Shiva whisper quietly to him from his side, he tilted his head in her direction and gave her a small smile. It was clear to anyone watching that Ventus was rather despondent from his attempts to mend the backlash he created. Still, hearing his fey little friend managed to alieviate some of his weariness. "Your advice is greatly appreciated, my good friend. I was hoping to clear things up right away, but perhaps it is best to do as you suggest. Goodness knows that I have caused enough trouble by being bullish about something," He quietly said to her, his voice calmer than before.

Its a bit Ironic that Shiva has the power to restore his cheer, when such things usually cause his to lose it. 'Such is the way of things, I suppose. Not all magical things are bad; just the vast majority of them. I'm glad that Shiva proves to be the rare exception,' he though, as he now walked with Shiva towards the van. Before he go in the car, however, he quietly ask Shiva, "Your a expectional friend, Shiva, but the same can't necessarily be said of me. Given my... outburst and sometime ruthless behavior, I would has thought that I'd alienate you like the rest of the group. I am sincerely confused as to why you stand by me. Why?," Ventus said, his face scrunch up in confusion. He looked nervous about the answer, but he still wanted to her it. Better now than latter, as seems to be the case...

He called her a good friend! How adorable~ Such a compliment surely brought a - slightly embarrased - smile to her face. That's an interesting question, however.

"Don't know. Maybe because you're from the same region as me. Maybe because you're excellent with Pokemon. Maybe because I just think you're a good person."

"... Maybe because Fairies would behave the same way."

"...Fairy Pokémon act in a myriad of ways, Shiva. Some are benevolent, granting blessing to those that win there favor, or are worthy of their power. Some are mischievous, playing harmless or mean pranks on different species, or love to indulge in deceptive behaviors. Some are vile, using and abusing those that they can get within there grasp, and actively ruining the lives of others on nothing more than a whim. And some act in ways that's impossible for us to comprehend, and do things for reason known only to them," Ventus delicately told her, looking into the sky as he's telling her the detail.

Turning his face towards Shiva, he look deeply into her eye, his own glittering with barely concealed pain." Fairy types are unpredicatable; you only know what they are capable of when they decide to show you. I pray that you only have pleasant encounters with Fairies, unlike me," he solumly said, before smiling at her and rubbing her hair a little. Given the familiarity they built up, he thought that would be with acceptable bounds. " Given you kind and graceful attitude, and the affinity with nature you seem to posses, you should have no problem with Fairies. I should be fine around them as well, even if I'm paranoid about them. For yours and the rest of the groups shake, though, I won't act out like that without explaining myself. I promise you this, Shiva."

With that said, he walked towards the driver, and asked him "Do you mind if I ride on top of the car with the Miltank? I would like to see as much of the scenery as possible, and I would like the chance to study her."

"No, not at all, suit yourself! We have some twine if you want to make yourself some handholds or something. And Miltank is pretty sturdy herself!"

[Dragonstrike]

Upon hearing that, Nathan and Ralts breathe a sigh of relief. It's not that Nathan is trying to give Ventus the cold shoulder. He's just rather...nervous around him. Mostly because he can feel Ralts is really nervous around him after the incident with the flowers. Thinking about it, actually...Ralts had to still be nervous for a reason...did the little pokemon pick up on something Nathan hadn't?

Well, he could worry about that later. For now, he also had a question for these folks. "Do you think there'll be enough room in there for my ponyta? She prefers being out of her pokeball, and I can't think of any safer ways to bring her along without recalling her."

[Iron]

"The air conditioning isn't working properly so it'd be really hot in here if the horse came too... If Ponyta runs alongside us, we can still keep an eye on her and protect her. Or, hey, your friend doesn't seem entirely keen on coming in with us - maybe *whispers* you could let him ride Ponyta beside us?"

[Dragonstrike]

"You sure she'd be fine? I'm worried a frisky wild pokemon might attack her if she's outside the vehicle. Also, I'm not sure if she'd let anyone besides me ride her currently."

Ponyta trots over when she notices the conversation is about her.

[Iron]

"Young man, your Pokemon's safety is always your own responsibility and no one else's. And we still don't know exactly what's going on with the wild Pokemon. But a Ponyta can easily keep up with Trax for hours at a time, and we have lots of windows to look out for her. Heck, Miltank using Rollout can catch up to even a Ponyta in a pinch."

Rules for encounters if you are travelling along with the RV in some way:

• Encounters take half as long, because you can rest in the vehicle, and get to them faster.
  
• You can choose two encounters from the same list before the wild Pokemon incur a chance to run away.
  
• You and your Pokemon are fully healed of nonlethal HP damage and status conditions after each battle.
  
• The wild Pokemon are riled up and might use moves they don't actually know, temporarily. They will lose these upon leaving Route 01.
  
• All encounters happen within earshot of the RV unless otherwise specified, by the player or the GM.

Ventus clapped his hands in delight at the drivers answer, feeling that one of his ideas was turning out fine. He knew that riding with Vincent and Nathan would be an especially uncomfortable able at this point, so he decided that parking himself on the roof would be the best way to prevent tension from boiling over too high. Given the sheer amount of anxiety he's feeling from Ralts, staying to close to his trainer would have also made the ride that much more precarious. "Thank you, my friend! I'll gladly take that twine and craft myself a secure lifeline! Don't want a pothole suddenly teaching me Fly, now do I?"

Taking the offered twine, Ventus nimbly climbed his way up to the roof of the van, and created a couple of handle he could grapple. He also wrapping some twine around him and the Miltank to anchor himself even further. 'Its been awhile since I've been on a car ride, and given how much the Pokémon on this route are whipped up into a frenzy, this one should prove exhilarating! I do hope that Shiva doesn't feel too left out, though. She didn't feel that keen on the idea of a roadtrip for some reason...'

"Fly? Do you know something about the legendary Fly HM? That's one HM I especially wish wasn't lost to time. Imagine, even a tiny, untrained Pidgey could Fly its trainer anywhere in an instant!"
