[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
The RV takes off, trying to stay parallel to the river. Often, the gang is forced to readjust, but it's mostly working out. Every great once in a while, the old path is visible, but this is rare.

Strangely, the fire Shiva and Ventus saw continues to be visible, or maybe it is new fires. Ventus is resolute, though, to lead everyone through the swamp and on to Ginger Town.

After about 3 hours (so you're only 1 or 2 away from when Ginger Town should be coming into sight), Ventus on the roof hears a voice. He immediately scuttles inside for a safer listening post, and leans out the window to catch the conversation. It's coming from the direction of the mysterious lights!

"It's not working," says a male voice in a loud whisper, carried by the ethereal stillness of the strange swamp. "Don't these people have any curiosity?"
"They're too smart for you, Cosh. Give up. I'm taking Trev and were going." This voice is more feminine. "Return, all of you." You hear the sound of several Pokeballs.
"Goodbye, Chi-Chi," says the first voice, mockingly. The other voice retreats deeper into the swamp. Some of the tension fades, Ventus thinks, but no one else can feel it.

(3)(1)(5)(4)(5)(1)(5) *dice clatter*
(5)(1)(3)(4)(3)(4)(5) Insight + Survival for Ventus.

The owner of the other voice approaches, suddenly becoming visible if you know just where to look - which Ventus does, with his sharp senses.

It's a man dressed in flowing red robes, carrying a staff in one hand, which is topped by a glowing crystal. His other hand glints with metal - he's wearing a metallic glove, also studded with crystals in various colors, connected by metallic wires of gold and silver.

He's stalking through the mists at a run, face hidden by a hood, staff angled toward the RV!

We will now enter combat time in case you want to do anything.
Nathan: (5) +4 = 9
His intiative: (2) + 5 = 7
Ventus: (3) +4 = 7
Shiva: (3) + 3 = 6

Immedianlty noticing the shady arch mage, he rushed backed into the van and bellows, "BELLE, STOP THE RV! WE GOT DANGEROUS INDIVIDUAL APPROACHING US! GET MR MIME TO SET UP BARRIERS BETWEEN THEM AND THE CAR! SHIVA, LARRY, BATTLE STATIONS!!!" He then scrambles outside an onto the roof of the van, and flicks his wrist twice, retrieving two Pokeballs.

With a flash, out come Apsis and Michael on the ground beside the car, who where quick to pick up on their master's extremely agitate mood. They pin pointed the source of agitation, and stood ready to attack the treacherous individual. Michael look ready to sap their life, with an air of macho seriousness surround the mushroom. If anything, they would make for a great Breloom in the future! Apsis, meanwhile, let out its most threatening hiss, broadcasting how truly and utterly pissed she was at this interloper. "Wizard, you have lost the element of surprise. Leave now, and we will not pursue you or any of your associates. If you choose to fight us, I Will Show No Mercy. Now, Begone!" As he was saying this, he gestured to Apsis to be ready to attack the mage if he made so much as a twitch towards the van. Michael, meanwhile, geared up to attack any Pokémon this individual sent out!

The RV screeches to a halt, and some grasses bend aside as invisible Barriers are placed in the way.

Larry soon went around the RV and ran I to the woods around the RV

Using more than two Pokemon at once is dangerous and illegal. You can loan one to someone else, perhaps, if they find themselves short.

Four Pokemon will absolutely be tripping over each other and getting confused.

(Larry, its better to only have two Pokémon on the field at once, since if you have three or more Pokémon, it gets harder to order them around. Other than that, I like the line about the role playing wizard!)

Larry is fighting for his life and his pokemon, maybe the League should be more flexible with these laws, anyways team skull did that and nothing happened to them, also Larry has a plan Tongue

It's the law because it's dangerous for your Pokemon.

However, it's physically possible to do it, so if you are set on it go ahead.

The man with the metal glove: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctxu6iW-kq0

Hearing Ventus's screaming, Nathan reigns Swiftfire in to a halt! 'Magic? What on earth is that fool talking about...?' He turns around, and sees the mysterious old man with a metal glove approaching the vehicle. 'Creepy old man? Check. Middle of nowhere? Check. Party members with a hindered ability to defend themselves? Check. Party member with a seemingly irrational fear of the unknown? Check. Good grief...we could be in a horror film right now, couldn't we?' After assessing the situation, Nathan and Ralts ride Swiftfire next to the RV (behind the barrier, of course), wearing a mask of calm emotions. His tone is even and polite. "Sir, I apologize for the rudeness of my companion in the RV. You gave him quite a fright, I'm sure. We've got injured pokemon and scared trainers aboard that RV, and we're just trying to get out of this swamp and to Ginger Town." Silently, he also feels like he should be on guard. Ventus reacted pretty badly to the old man's appearance, and he described that situation in rather specific (and VERY loud) detail. Ralts picks up those feelings, deciding to use Growl if the old man threatens their safety.. Nathan still doesn't entirely believe this old man might be a threat, but better to be safe than sorry, right?

Ralts
Action: Use Growl if the old man gets aggressive.
Accuracy: 3 Dexterity + 1 Fight + 0 Perform = 4 D6
Effect: Lowers Strength of all foes by 1

(Keep in mind that Nathan didn't hear that conversation between the old man and the woman, and that he's noticing a trend in Ventus's reactions to the unknown. And that supernatural powers typically only belong to the most powerful of pokemon according to the rulebook.)

(Imagine that Shiva stays inside the RV, taking care of Plusle and Miltank. While she didn't hear anything about the conversation Ven heared, she clearly heard his yelling. She also stopped crying. For now, at least.)

'Shady individual' ... 'Magical User' ... 'Coming after the RV' ... Sounds great. Not. While Shiva looked up especially at the word 'Magic' - was is this 'shady individual' who craved that symbol into the sand? Did that Murkrow belong to hi - No, it said it was a wild one... It must have observed him doing stuff... - she didn't care much for this now. Not now. Damnit, can we just move on towards the Pokemon Center, please?

Minun, meanwhile, (he's still outside his Pokeball) stared at the scene outside from the next window. The rodent had a puzzled expression, mixed up with an annoyed one - who dared to get into the way now? Seeing the other party's Pokemon getting ready for combat, he took a glimpse at his Master... And understood. Her expression clearly told him that as long he takes care and returns as soon as possible, he's allowed to join. Although she's not very fond of the idea, at all - but who is she to deny her companion's will to defend his Master and injured counterpart?

So be it then. Minun jumped out of the window Ventus left open, and landed beside Apsis, getting ready to use Thunder Wave if the 'shady individual' dared to move closer.

Accuracy Roll Thunder Wave: 2 Dexterity + 1 Fight + 0 Channel -1 Pain from the battle with Murkrow = 2 dice
Effect: Paralysis. Keeping this shady individiual at as much distance as possible.
