"Sir, I apologize for the rudeness of my companion in the RV. You gave him quite a fright, I'm sure. We've got injured pokemon and scared trainers aboard that RV, and we're just trying to get out of this swamp and to Ginger Town."

"Precisely. Can't you take a hint and keep your nose away from where it's clearly not wanted?"

Larry's Ambush: (6)(2)(5) - two successes

Larry manages to sneak around the roleplaying nerd, raises the Frying Pan high, and brings it down on the wizard's nerdy skull. The nerd has his eyes on the vast fleet of Pokemon and doesn't notice until the moment of impact.

Dmg: Str 1 + Power 1 - 2 vitality
(5) The pan lands squarely where it's aimed. But then it goes flying backward along the arc it was swung, as though the wizard's head is far denser than the frying pan!

"That settles it!"

That's the surprise round, I'll be back to roll up the rest in a few hours.



Nathan, you can see all five fingers on the metal gauntlet. But they are similar in shape to the one you are thinking of.

At the sound of appearantly a frying pan hitting...something, Shiva looked up once again. What is it this time... What is going on out there? Wasn't Minun out there...? What if...? She couldn't help it, she just needed to know. What if something's wrong? Minun was still a little hurted from the Murkrow. 

Standing up from her watch over Miltank, she moved herself to the window Ventus left open and Minun jumped out, injured Plusle still wrapped inside a blanket in her arms, and dared to look at the scene outside. ... What is this...? But seeing the one Ventus probably meant by 'Magic user' and 'shady individual' preparing an appearant attack...

"Minun! STOP IT! Don't attack! Back off, stay safe!"

"Larry, get out of there now! You are too close to the target!" Ventus hollered at the young trainer, gritting his teeth both at the boy's audacity and impulsiveness. The researcher was slightly pleased that Larry followed his order so energetically, but he wished the boy didn't put himself in the line of fire. And did he release his whole team to fight too?! 'Oh fuck fuck fuck. If that is not a kerfuffle waiting to happen, I didn't earn my degree in Pokémon Research and Sociology!' he thought, displeased with how chaotic things were getting because of the dastardly wizard. Curse him!

" Belle; can you hear me? If possible, I need you to reign in some of Larry's horde, if they get out of his control. The lad thought summoning four Pokémon at once was a brilliant plan!" Ventus ground out towards the RV, before squarely focusing on the arch mage in the clearing. With a wave of his hand, he signaled Apsis [b] that it was free to attack the wizard at its discretion! Michael, meanwhile, stared down the madman menacingly, ready to Absorb the life out of any Pokémon he summoned, or if he tried hurting his master!

Orders: Same as last post, but Apsis is going to start attacking him, staring with Paralyzing the man, then Poisoning them, and finally Biting, if the wizard has not hoofed it by that time. Michael still is going to use Absorb all rounds at anything that gets too close to Ventus and the RV. Showtime!

Mechanics:
I'm absolutely fine with inflicting Paralysis, but ruthelessly poisoning and biting an opponent is a little too much. ∑(O_O; )

(The wizard is still up, and is about to attack the rest of the group. The frying pan attack...was not too successful. It hit, but it didn't do a squint of damage to the blook. Ventus ain't going to stop until that man is either gone, or dead. Sorry to say Phantom...)

[Dragonstrike]

The moment before Larry brings the frying pan down on the man's head, Nathan notices the metal glove. 'Wait a second...that looks similar to...' And when Larry's frying pan makes a loud CLANG! upon making contact with the man's head, Nathan can only stare. Larry just attacked him to no avail, Ventus is in attack mode, Shiva is reluctant to attack...gah, this was a terrible, uncoordinated mess. Larry's attack seems to have provoked him, too (which is reasonable), so negotiations were out the window now if everyone didn't calm down...

Ralts is still ready to Growl, and Nathan is stuck thinking about how to try and simmer things down. There was little reason to outright attack this man without warning as far as he knows, after all...

[Iron]

The robed man simply trips Larry, sending him down to earth. He does so quite casually, with the end of his staff clutched in one hand.
Accuracy: 1 Dex + 3 fight + 3 brawl

Dmg: 0 power + 4 strength - 1 vitality = 3 dice, I'll subtract one for Growl because it was readied, though this kinda occurs before the first round.

That seems a pretty clear threat to the group's safety.

Behind the barrier, Ralts is making angry faces and angry noises. He HATES this man. You haven't yet seen Ralts so worked up about anything.

The man seems to get into gear with his disdainful attack on Larry. He's moving faster.

The man hits the invisible Barrier at a run, head first. You can tell it has shattered as the grass swings back into place, and Mr. Mime cries out at the disturbance. The Barrier is down.

Glare

Ekans' evil glare, filled with malicious intent, does not even slow the juggernaut, who is gaining momentum with every passing second.

Shiva brings Minun back to her, worriedly, and just gets out of the way.

Larry barks out a weird yipping phrase. "Yee yee yee yee yeeeee!"
Each Pokemon will roll using Larry's Insight, at a penalty. They get a penalty of -1 for each Pokemon over 3 he's commanding, so that's -1. Plus there are a great number of Pokemon in this fight, not to mention there seems to be no opponent Pokemon! (how strange). So that's another -1, leaving 2 dice apiece. And two successes are required. Larry being on the ground doesn't help either, but that's not his fault.

Oshawott: (4)(5) As a starter, Oshawott is used to Larry's strange style. He pulls off a water gun.
Ekans: (3)(3) Ekans is supposed to use Wrap. It pursues that tasty otter Pokemon, but gets Wrapped up in a knot around itself. Ekans gains a point of Disobedience.
Kakuna: (5)(5) Harden is simple enough for a Pokemon that can do little else.
Nincada: (3)(4) Nincada is supposed to stay back, but ends up riding Oshawott's head, ready to ride his blue steed into battle.

Despite your chaotic efforts, he reaches the RV. You scatter before the power emanating from him, and those who are too slow find themselves thrust aside by a mysterious and nigh-irresistible force despite being a body length away from him. He smacks into the camper and a tremendous dent, ten feet wide, appears in the side. It tips over and falls onto its side with a resounding CRUNCH. A window breaks. Mr. Mime does that thing where you pretend you are climbing up stairs by gradually straightening your knees until he appears in the window. You can see him use a Confusion attack when he arrives.

Arceus, damnit. Damn. This is serious. One moment later, if Minun would have jumped back into her owner's arms just a few moments later, they'd both be awashed with broken bits of glass. If there is one thing NONE need now, then it's more injuried individuals, may they be Pokemon or people.

Is this the right time to panic...? Most likely yes. Shiva clinged to the still fainted Miltank, not sure whether it shall be to comfort herself or protect the hurted ones. She will stay here, inside the RV, NO MATTER WHAT. Not going out head first into battlefield. Not going to happen. Nope.

In all that hassle, she also got the brilliant (not) idea to call out Cottonee. She stopped thinking logically, more and more fear flooded her insided. If this will be the end, it shall be beside her companions she gathered so far...

"People, DO ANYTHING! NO MATTER WHAT, JUST DO ANYTHING!!" These words were adressed to anyone who was on the battlefield. Hopefully they heared her...

If only Vincent was here, he would probably know what to do in such situations...

Mechanics:
Stay inside the RV. Only get out if it catches fire (that's not a suggestion!). If the Wizard decides to storm the RV, cripple him with Minun's Thunder Wave and obscure his vision with Cottonee's Fairy Wind. Both Pokemon will act on their own (without given an instruction).

Nathan can feel the anger rolling off of Ralts.  It's unmistakable.  Nathan snaps out of the stupor caused by the utter chaos.  This man had something to do with Ralts's past.  The RV is on its side.  Larry's pokemon are doing who knows what.  Nothing seems to stop this man in his tracks, though.  Anything they hit him with seems to just dissipate.

Nathan almost doesn't know what to do.  Almost.  He's inclined to just tell everyone to run.  But they'd never get away if they did.  And then he remembers the man is wearing metal.  And lots of it.  And there's wire's sticking out of the glove.  And the finger he found looks completely mechanical too...Nathan realizes all of a sudden that this 'man' might not even be human...and he snaps.  The recent events have been piling on, and he's been doing his best to remain calm despite it all.  But this is the last straw.  Nathan's angry.  VERY angry.  He can feel the energy of that raw emotion pulsing through his being (Nathan's Canalize specialty increases by 1!).

'Alright, if he's going to attack us, then I hope he's ready for the consequences.'  Nathan's orders are sharp and quick as he quickly dismounts his steed with Ralts behind him.  "Swiftfire, use Ember twice and heat that metal up!"  He doesn't dare give an order to Ralts and make the little pokemon's presence so easily known.  Ralts is mad too, though, and will use Confusion twice on the metal man.

"MR MIME, FOCUS ON KEEPING THAT BARRIER UP! IF HE GETS IN THE RV, EVERYONE IS AT RISK!" Ventus growled out, looking dead serious at the commotion. This guys's defenses are too strong, judging by all the attacks that keep bouncing off. 'How can we overcome this mage's arcane defenses? Wait...that's it! Apsis can use Leer him, weakening him up to further assault! Let's just hope Apsis can comply with my command...' Ventus thought, before calling out to he signaled his Ekans attension.

Perking up at his gesture, Apsis leaned in closer to him to listen. It was hard enough to pay attension in this chaotic mess! "Apsis, I know we have not practiced this, but I need you to use Leer on this wizard until they start to feel its effects. After that, continue with your attempts to Paralyze and Poison the magical bastard, then start tearing into when all the status is applied," Ventus whispered to his snake, keeping his voice low so that the robed man would not overhear. It would spoil the surprise, and he would hate to do that!

Nodding its head at her master's order's, the Ekans tried to use Leer!

Orders: Have Apsis attempt to use Leer on the mage until their stats are lowered, then continue with Glare (Until they are PAR)-> Poison Sting (Until they are POS)-> Bite sequence. I want this dude hit with every malady under the sun!
