"Oh. Then I bet you have seen all sorts of places... All sorts of different people. And, of course, all sorts of different Pokemon... " Now to think about it, all this was yet an open field to explore...

"Botanville... That's rather South from here, is it?" ... "I read that there's a University in that town? You...happen to know what they specialise in there?"

"Oh yes, we both studied Pokemon there for a year before we decided to go off on our own. They have a whole slew of Pokemon professors. They specialize in wild Pokemon - which is not to say they don't study battling or training, but nature is their main claim to fame."

Ralts senses concentration, entitlement, purpose, control, pride, and accomplishment from the Drowzee.

"Dang it.  Zamboni, I think this Drowzee is controlling the hive.  And is proud of it.  I have no idea why a Drowzee would be in control, and yet, here we are.  If we take this drowzee out, they'd be without a leader.  Leave them be, and they're being lead by something that's not a Vespiqueen.  I'm not even sure if we should take the princess with us, now..."  Nathan is deep in thought right now, head in hand.

"This Drowzee...I think it wrested control of the hive from the royal bees via its hypnosis, based on the emotions Ralts picked up.  Entitlement, pride, accomplishment, purpose...this Drowzee wants to be in control.  Where's Vespiqueen though, in that case?  Is there a Vespiqueen?  I don't want to do anything with this Drowzee until we have a better idea of the conditions it assumed this role in..."  Nathan looks over to the female and tiny combee.  Quietly, he asks, "Ralts, what are they feeling when they see Drowzee?  That might help get us a better idea of what's going on."

Ralts thinks about this, and realizes something peculiar. The Combee making up the walls feel almost nothing - they are entirely under the spell of Drowzee, though they still feel their typical sense of loyalty. They feel the same sense of purpose as Drowzee.

Any free flying Combee do not seem to feel threatened by the Drowzee, nor are they angry with her, nor are they loyal toward her.

[Dragonstrike]

"Shoot. Drowzee is definitely manipulating this entire hive, Zamboni. Ralts is picking up the same sense of purpose from the combee in the walls, and the free flying ones aren't angry or anything with the Drowzee. Strangely, though, they aren't loyal, either, unlike the ones in the walls. Just neutral. I think we need to find Vespiqueen before we can do anything about this. This hive might fall apart into chaos if we KO Drowzee. And if there's no Vespiqueen, we've got a problem. Princess! Do you know where your mom would be now that we're in the throne room?"

[Iron]

Princess goes to brood on the east wall, essentially confirming that Vespiqueen was down the other path.

[Dragonstrike]

"Well, Drowzee doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, so let's check out that other path and see what's up with Vespiqueen. Are we all in agreement on that?"

Zamboni is willing. He starts muttering to himself, rehearsing his speech to Vespiquen.

Specialising in wild Pokemon... nature, but also training and battling... Reminded a little on Ventus's occupation. Just a little.

"Ah... Well, thanks for this as well! I...might just pay the University a visit...to... see by myself." Indeed, that sounded very interesting... Given there wasn't something similar located in Unova. Technology and Medicine were bigger there.


After waving Belle goodbye and thanking her once again, Shiva moved on. Happily. Not only because a free crafted charm, but also - probably more - because of the conversation itself and the information she got by that. So, next up shall be a Berry Vendor, there apperantly are various on this Festival... As Shiva was walking around looking for one, she came across that...Shuckleball field...thing... Arceus, what a voice the owner had!

Lured by the exciited and enthusiastic atmosphere here and the fact that you could win elusive Pokemon, she stayed to hear the owner - he introduced himself as Mr. Pin - explain the rules to a grown man and his Raichu. Both then disappeared into the field, and as he came back with a newely obtained Porygon by his side and a wide grin on him and his Raichu, the crowd applauded to him... Hmm. Such an excitement might be something for Plusle and Minun to enjoy, so Shiva decided to give it a try as soon as she had her rodents back all healthy. Going to save the Sawsbuck Coin for this.

After watching around at the stall - and petting the Zigzagoon a little that was coiled up on the counter - , the Vendor greeted her and Cottonee with usual phrase.

"So, I see you have Ranc Berries listed in stock... 200$ for one, right? I'll take two of them, then." Together with that single one from Route 1, it would be one of these elusive berries for each of her Pokemon. "Alongside one Oran Berry, please."

"Apricorn nuts... Never heard of those. What can they be used for?"

"Also, seeing that you have Poffins mentioned. You happen to have a baking mixture for those as well? I currently have some berries from Route 1 on hand, and I'm missing just the mixture to make own Poffins out of those. In fact," - she drew the berries she currently had out of a bagpacks side pocket and placed them on the counter - "Three Razz Berries, three Bluk Berries and a total of three Ranc Berries with those bought from you. Still getting one Poffin out of one berry, right? One Poffin should be good enough to feed a small Pokemon twice...So, you have anything that might be useful?"
