Well, it's not that Nathan wasn't taking her seriously.  He knows she likely knows what she's doing with the egg, and that she can probably handle it.  He was just trying to suggest what he thought was the logical course of action, at least for a short time.

Interesting that Shiva's not particularly worried about that situation, though.  Maybe she'll notice his discomfort a bit later or something...

Well, it depends on what he hears from Shiva. If she can explain why she became so cross at Nathan's simple (and to him, completely logical) offer, then he might not reign on his baking deal. He's not going to be cross unless he feels its necessary, dear!

As said, Nathan just got her on a sensitive spot, she may have overreacted a little, and is aware of this. If everythings kept neutral and honest, she'll be more than willing to explain. It's just that she will not initiate anything.
