oof. The present Delibird gives Shiva is really, really heavy. It pulls her hand to the floor, and she has to open it with just one hand, bent over humorously. Inside is a dense Iron Ball. What use could this possibly be? Thanks a lot, Delibird. At least it doesn't seem to be cursed to stick to your hand.

"Good job, Swiftfire. Go get some rest, girl. You've earned it. Not bad, Ven. Those statuses are really killer. Think you're ready to face Ralts without them, though?" Nathan's feeling pretty confident. Swiftfire's strategy had worked VERY well, mitigating most of the effects of the paralysis spectacularly. That snake hadn't been able to keep up with the onslaught of Embers that resulted. Zamboni would likely have a difficult time handling that. This wasn't over yet, though. Ralts knows what to do already. It's just a matter of waiting for Ventus's next move.

Delibird Encounter + Bringing back Miltank

"Oh, you have somethin' for me...? How adorable!" The icy bird receives more strokes because of that.

Eh... At first sight, Shiva has absolutely no idea what to do with an Iron Ball - it's quite heavy on top o that! Given she's also carrying the egg with her, it isn't helpful at all. But it's a generous gift, she's rather rejoyced over it! Biding goodbye to the Delibird, she move on to the RV. A little more sluggish though with the additional load, but she'll surely get used to it. Hopefully.

Oh, how the waiting was worth it!

"I absolutely love it! Thanks so much! And you're really sure that I can have it for free...?"
"I do? Oh, my...It's even spreading its wings... I'm sure it will take good care of every egg I might ever hatch... Thanks again!"
The urge to hug Belle as a ThankYou intesifies... But she's still behind the counter.


Daycare

Before they brougt up the concern, Shiva was asking if her currently three companion Pokemon were allowed to spend some time at the pasture alongside the other Pokemon there. Since they gladly are, Cottonee/Plusle/inun are released from their balls and after explaining to the what the matters are, they thankfully head off, and their caretaker watches them leave with a smile.

Also, the black-spotted egg is securely contained in the Daycare now, alongside the Magby. She's nearby anyway some several hours and it will likely speed up the hatching process, so nothing spoke against that. After her three-days-stint, she will take the egg with her again, but for so long it will stay in the Daycare.

The concern about...such an seemingly important matter quite suprised Shiva. In a positive way. My, are they putting so much hope in her...? It's...flattering... She accepts, and is all curious what the matter could be. Hopefully nothing dangerous or shady...

Now, let's see how well my teachings took with dear Ralts," Ventus said, utterly unfazed as he swiftly recalled Apsis and handing it to the Nurse Joy. Flame Charge was an unexpected ploy he hadn't accounted for, but Reshirem must have been on his side. Still, he felt that this wasn't the only trick this boy up his sleeve. 'He's feeling pretty confident; as expected from someone who took out my top fighter. Ralts is up next, but what lay after that? How exciting!' he thought, palming his next pokeball. His chances are slim, but he wants to test Nathan, not beat his Pokémon into a pupl!

"We're going to repeat it once again: your role is advisory only. You are not employed to stick your neck out for us. You see, we aren't just some harmless old couple. In a past life, we both worked in law enforcement. The details, I won't bore you with. But suffice it to say, this Daycare will sometimes serve more purposes than just taking care of Pokemon while their trainers run about the world."

Her mannerisms change a bit.

"We have a secret mission: get a Pokemon into the hands of a hostile organization called The Almanac. We figure they are a front for something more sinister, but ostensibly they run a competitor to the Pokedex. So we need to breed a Pokemon that can infiltrate their base as a gift, a sort of sleeper agent. It will be dangerous for the Pokemon, so we need a creature that's tough, sneaky, but desirable to an evil organization. He or she will be trained from birth, and bred specifically for this purpose."

"So...I know this is a lot to ask, and it won't affect your paycheck if you refuse, but do you have any suggestions?"

"My angel isn't out of the fight yet, Nathan. Pokémon are capable of great things when put under pressure, and I'm sure my Raphael will shine like a diamond. As for Michael, he is always ready for a brawl. I'm sure he'll make a spectacular performance for all of us," he said serenely, not revealing anything about his emotional state. It wouldn't do to give him the boy an edge, after all.
