Nathan will likely ask Ventus if he had any luck getting one when he returns to the Center.  He may also mention he has two coins...

If he does, Ventus would be happy to have the chance at him, but only after you won. If you didn't win on your first attempt, he'll decline the Coin so that you can have a second go at him. He can be a ruthless battler, but he's a rather understanding friend~

To be fair, you didn't get your tail kicked completely until I sent out Combee Swiftfire had all those debuffs to deal with and barely managed to almost nab the KO (practically soloing down a boss monster is pretty impressive, though!), while Ralts struggled to deal any reliable damage to Togepi thanks to Charm (I think the dice made up for it though, by deciding to act like Ralts was under the effects of Serene Grace or something.  Which he wouldn't have been since he would have traced Aspis's ability when sent out, but oh well). 

I was also considering using Porygon instead of Combee, but then I remembered that Nathan knew exactly which 3 pokemon Ventus had, and that two of his had the type advantage against the pokemon with health recovery abilities.  Foresight is a dangerous thing, no?  Just ask the fortune teller

And Nathan would definitely watch if Ventus battled the gym leader. He wants that badge first, though!

Why I don't feel I deserve it, I appreciate the flattery none of the less! I hated that Ralts kept procing confusion, though. That was a bit to misfortunate for my tastes, but if I was rolling the dice, they be all 1s! That Combee was mean, but eh. Ventus will eventually get a more well rounded team later.
