I'm impressed as well! You are giving him quite the hard time, so there is a great chance that Ventus is going to get his chance to shine on the ice! You can do it, raaah!

@Iron You never got back to me about cheerleading being considered a Training Session. Everyone one (Including Shiva's electric mice and Ventus) are dancing around in support of Nathan, so...

If Nathan wins, all your cheerleading Pokemon get 2 Xp; if Nathan loses, they get 1 XP! Haha that will motivate them to cheer hard! (Trainers won't get half of this).

Fair enough! I guess Ventus like doing exercise for the shake of it!

Just a quick note, @Iron: The rulebook says Confusion gives all actions an additional penalty of -2. Are we not applying that rule in this campaign? I don't think we've used that once so far (it would have meant Sealeo couldn't crit Ralts with that Water Gun, in this case, and it could make a difference for Rotom).

The River Rat offers to continue your battle, Gastly against Spheal.

River Rat Round 4

Spheal is first! What are your orders?

Valder moves the Razor Claw over too Ghastly hoping it can help Ghastly win.

"Okay, Ghastly! Lick that Spheal until... nevermind. Use Lick!

Lick: 1pwr + 3str + 1stab
Use Lick for as long as possible. Withdraw if health reaches 1.

Since it's technically the same battle, I don't think you can move the razor claw over. :/

Also, don't forget there's accuracy rolls you need to account for, too, as well as any effects the move might have (Lick's paralysis chance, in this case).  And the ability to use several other techniques other than moves, such as evasion and making multiple moves in the same action.  You don't quite have the dice pool to try anything fancy like that, it seems, but keep it in mind in the future.  This is a game where if you fall behind, you fall behind FAST.

Anyways, here's lick's accuracy and effect chance:
Accuracy: Dexterity + Fight + Brawl
Effect: Paralysis (3 D6, same odds as Poison Sting.  Lick and Poison Sting are those two moves that ALWAYS seem to proc their statuses in the games, after all...but only when you're opponent uses them, of course Tongue )

Oh.  Must be another thing in the 1.2 version of the rulebook that they changed.  Another difference is that it doesn't wear off on its own, requiring Insight checks to get rid of it (though it requires an action to do so). The change was probably made to make Confusion worth a little more.
Well, your call in this case.
