[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Well, I'll lead off on that topic then. I'm thinking we should head down Route 02 (well, I assume it's 02), towards Wineberry Town, and ultimately to Corsage Port. Corsage is where the second gym is, and Larry still has to pick up Zorua. Plus, Larry might like the large number of bugs in Wineberry if he wants to work towards being some kind of bug specialist/collector. And Ventus might pick up a bug himself if one catches his fancy.

To be honest, I'm surprised we didn't encounter any particularly bad tourist traps and scams while in Ginger Town. The festival was rather tame, all things considered. We'll be back, though, so there's a chance we'll see them when we pass back through on the return trip...The Running might also occur at that point, since it would be convenient.

There's also the issue of Larry's mom...I don't think Larry's told anyone he's not worried anymore, but it's probably still worth checking out.

TLDR: Anyways, short of it is that I think Corsage should be our next goal. Find out what's going on with Larry, his mom, and Zorua. And maybe go for gym badge number 2.

My immediant plans upon leaving Ginger Town is fishing either at the Great Greenbrair River, or try my luck at the Vapor Falls. I want to see if I catch anything special! Other than that, I'm going to try and hoard money for now on, since some of the offers in the Game Thread needed some major bank if before they could be used. I wonder if there is an actual bank in the Chesire Region...

Originally I wanted a Chansey, but now I want a Dragon type and a Steel type on my team instead. A Ghost type would also be nice, but unnecessary. Given the rarity of these types, It'll take a while before my team is completed (unless unexpected shenanigans happen!).

If there is any loot to be found on the route outside of Ginger Town, I say that Shiva should get it. Nathan and Ventus have already grabed valuable items, so she should get the chance to get some bling!

Long Term Plans include collecting Gym Badges, continuing Ventus research of Pokémon and their interactions with each other/people. Ventus, while focused on the group's wellbeing, is pretty much out of the loop regarding either Larry or Vincent's task, so he's helpless there. Though, It might be better for him NOT to learn of Larry's Mother plight. Ventus doesn't have much faith in him as a trainer at the moment, so telling his mother about all the trouble he has gotten into might become a priority. If it keep Larry safe and sound....

There's a bank, but they generally only offer interest on quantities over $30,000. You can treat them like "Sent some to mom!" though.

Ventus, while focused on the group's wellbeing, is pretty much out of the loop regarding either Larry or Vincent's task, so he's helpless there. Though, It might be better for him NOT to learn of Larry's Mother plight. Ventus doesn't have much faith in him as a trainer at the moment, so telling his mother about all the trouble he has gotten into might become a priority. If it keep Larry safe and sound....

Remember, he did tell everyone right before the group headed off to route 01.  Specifically, he told Shiva, Mallorn, and Ventus while they were at the lab, buying the tent, and then Nathan showed up and got filled in along with Vincent on the way out.  

Larry, to my knowledge, has not told the party his concern for the situation has dropped since he received the second phone call.  Ventus may have forgotten about Larry's problem due to the recent troubles with Nathan, but Nathan's going to be keeping it in mind when the group sets out.  As such, he'll recommend we go to Corsage now that our business in Ginger Town is done (Nathan's got a pretty decent long term memory.  All that reading in his spare time paid off in more ways than one!).  It's also partially why he wanted to get the gym battle out of the way ASAP, since Shiva's business at the daycare has now been concluded.

Also, he's just a little worried Larry won't be able to handle whatever he finds there.  Whatever that something is.  He's going to need support of some kind.

I do believe Larry needs our help, but Ventus might take his help too far if he believes it keeps the kid out of trouble. They don't have the smoothest track record in regards to one on one battling and against wild Pokémon, and seem awfully trouble prone in the researcher's point of view. Add to the fact that he doesn't take that great care of his Pokémon, and you have a recipie for Ventus intervention in the matter. The only reason he hasn't gotten on Larry's case more is that he's had more pressing concens (Nathan and Shiva, primary) and the fact that the boy doesn't stick around long enough to be dressed down by him.

Based on the above, Ventus is quite liable to try and get Larry's Mom to keep her son at home with her, or at least get on his case about some of his reckless behavior, if he's reminded of that particular issue.

Wanted to say ThankYou again. I don't think a little respect towards other players is too much to ask for.

Rushing forward because one can or the situation just asks for is not really the thing, neither is forcing others to flashback a lot of things simultanously. I feel like this will likely mess up the Game itself... We did not engage in this as we heared about Nathan's and Vwntus's background, nor during the acquirring of Valder, so I don't understand why we would or should start with this now. After all, I personally proofed that I come online everyday multiple times to play, I just rather not sacrifice too much sleep for the sake of playing ^^

Also thanks to Iron for his habit not to start rolling out Encounters before every player has choosen one. Feel like this needs to be valued.

It's a delicate balance between having lots of simultaneous threads/encounters/conversations and a bogged down game where everyone's waiting. But it's also just Pokemon so it's not something to get worked into a tizzy over.

One of the cool things about any forum game is how much time ends up invested in it - and that accumulation of player time is what's valuable! And the story that arises is gonna be cool : )
