... It was as she expected. That Arbok of his was somewhat of a ruthless creature, but Ventus was able to handle it, to a degree. Though, it was intimidating to see what the snake was capable of. It...gave Shiva some shivers, indeed. Slight worry flooded her. Not imagiable what could - and would - happen if Apsis gets a glimpse on her Electric rodents... Or the egg Vincent sent...

She kept her distance to the battle, watching Mr. Pin run away and Apsis enjoying her dinner. It was...not the most prettiest view, but that's just the way it was. Shiva had a neutral view on Ventus' habit concerning the Arbok. At least he kept the natural preferences when it comes to the Pokemon's diet, which is, practically speaking, only comprehensible. It somewhat testifies his knowledge in the handling of different Pokemon.

"My Apsis would never harm a trainer's Pokémon, but I will respect your wishes. Keep in mind, however, that it wasyour little game caused both my Arbok and my own person to be assaulted by those wild Pokémon. In addition, you should have known full well that this snake is a predator. Denying me service just because she was acting not only on instinct, but self preservation? Perhaps the way I care for my Apsis does not speak well for me, but neither does your bias towards my Pokémon. Still, I wish not to be rude, so I will wish you a good night to you as well sir, and be on my way," Ventus says both firmly and coolly, clearly unimpressed with both the man's knee jerk reaction and lack of safety standard. What was the point of OSHA if no one followed its protocol?

Apsis gave the business a nasty look for angering her master, before she slinked off after him. While more onerous than before, she still had great respect for her master, and was quite happy to be with him. Looks like Ventus is a little too mad to notice that he didn't immedianlty recall her... Turning to walk away from the Shuckleball game (He just knew that it was no good, should have listen to his instincts!), he soon meet up with Shiva and Nathan. Huffing to himself, he was still somewhat peeved at the game owners attitude towards his snake eating habits. "Does no one understand that wild Pokémon are not just herbivores, or is a college education truly required to learn that facet of nature? My Apsis is intimidating for sure, but I would expect that others would trust me to be able to control my own Pokémon. Zamboni gave me the benefit of the doubt, and his Glaceon was on the line in that instance..."

Turning to walk away from the Shuckleball game (He just knew that it was no good, should have listen to his instincts!), he soon meet up with Shiva and Nathan. Oh, good. Ven did not realise that she was there at all, nor that she turned in direction towards the Pokemon Center as he was scoffing Mr. Pin away. Maybe not telling him directly. She didn't feel like she was doing anything wrong, she also did not interfere. She...was just at the right moment at the right place. And she told that she'd return to the Schuckleball field, not her fault that there was a wild Pokemon battle going on just then.

Hearing Ventus' concerns and complaint, she sighed unnoticable. His handling of the Arbok - especially the habit of feeding her - might cause some trouble within them... But... she didn't never complained about this... neither told him her thoughts about this...

Very very faintly, she brought up her thoughts on this to him. Although spoken out so silently, she meant her words and faced him directly while speaking.

"Ven... It's like you say, some Pokemon wouldn't enjoy a change in their natural diet. It's fine for me what you do."

... ... ... "Just... take care Apsis does not get too close to Plusle and Minun, please."

He didn't notice his friend at first while he was returning to the center, but there she was, now right beside him. Walking side by side with Shiva towards the Pokémon Center, with Apsis covering there from the back against anymore threats, he heard her whispers her input on the matter. A little confused with her phrasing, he asked : "What do you mean exactly? Forgive me, but I don't quite understand what you are alluding too." While he was amazingly perceptive of others emotions, it does not mean he always understands what they say!

Speaking of his empathy, it was impossible for him not to notice that she was nervous. He was even more puzzled by this development, before the next words out her mouth clear that up dreadfully quick. A hurt look flashed across his face as he stared at the young lass, as if to say 'Et tu, Brutus?' "Shiva...you don't trust my ability to handle Apsis too? Rest assured, I'll keep her away from everyone Pokémon until I build up more of a raport with her, so don't fret," the researcher quietly said, calmness pervading his tone of voice. He maintained it so as to cover the sadness he now felt, and decided to keep his silence for the time being. Getting emotional would only upset the rest of the group, and he didn't want to do that yet again...

Nathan could only stare at the brutality inflicted on those poor pokemon. Stunned silence was the only response he could muster.

When Mr. Pin closes the game, and Ventus leaves in a huff, Nathan walks up to him, the shame on his face rather clear. "I'm sorry you had to see that, sir. His arbok only just evolved, and he's also justified that...practice to a certain degree. I'll talk to him about it. That was rather...uncalled for. I'll make sure he knows that was something he shouldn't have done."

Hmm? Oh, maybe she wasn't clear enough... Or not audible enough. Or both.

Thinking about proper words for a while, she faced him again while speaking. Giving him a soft expression, yet a little gloomy on the second glance. Still the quiet voice because of tiredness now began after such an eventful day and over the situation.

"You know... At home, we are used to to have all sorts of different Pokemon food. Something for the herbivorous... Something for the carnivorous... Alongside food every Pokemon can enjoy, like poffins, fruits and berries of course. Also, some amount of specialities for extravagant diet of particukar Pokemon." ... "All of our Pokemon were fine with this. Some were relucant at first, and had to get used to the provided food at first. None showed any health problems because of that."

"However, it didn't take long until I was wondering about wild Pokemon. Those that weren't with humans, but rather in the forests, meadows and rivers. 'What about those? Does someone feed them like we do?' ... Neither did it take long for me to find out that none did. They live of what they can get. If they're herbivorous, there were no problems with it, in no case. Well, unless they'd break into other people's garden and cause a mess there. The carnivorous though had to hunt for their food. Search for prey, hunt prey, kill prey." ... "I was...rather shocked at this at first...hehe, who wouldn't in an early age? But with time and more insight on the matters I learned that they only do that for food, for keeping themselves alive, to feed their young and partners. It's nature. Nature can be very pretty and beautiful...as well as rather dark."

She paused a little before contineing, letting the words sink in on herself an on him.

"Would you blame a Houndoom for feeding on other Pokemon and killing them to devour them when it's in his genes to do so? What I mean here is that it would only be wrong to do so. You don't have to agree with the hell dogs natural diet, but don't blame him for something every one of his species does. The Pokemon would likely not understand why you would, and why you're angry with him when it's only following his instincs." ... "Point is, Apsis feeds on smaller Pokemon. How you get them for her, is your call. But changing her diet completely to Pokemon Food feels somewhat...wrong. Like you'd fight something that nature decided million years ago just because you don't like the way it is."

Another pause before continue.

"Ven, I do trust you can gain control over Apsis. Just...I think prohibiting her to follow her nature will only hinder in this process..."

Ventus eventually makes his way into the Pokémon Center, finally recalling Apsis as soon as they reached the front doors. ' No need to cause unnecessary panic, nor cause a scene with Apsis. I already feel that I'm on thin ice as it is with my snake, so I need to get some one on one time with it as soon as possible. I need to reaffirm my command over her, and strengthen the bond between us,' the researcher thought, now calmed down from his brief spike of anger.

He was still wounded by Shiva's remark, but he understand where she comes from. 'Never the less, it doesn't stop the irrational feeling of betrayal I feel... I need to talk apologize to her later, once I have fully settled down," he thought, wandering over to the table the group regularly gathered at. He decided to wait her for the rest of his friends to arrive, and see what plans they have tomorrow.

Mr. Pin still wasn't entirely happy with the duo, but he was happier when Nathan left to pursue Ventus.  Ralts was terrified, and so was Nathan.  He was also ticked off.  He'd told Ventus to think first!  And what's he do?  Let's his snake eat wild pokemon right in front of someone!  He was going to have words with him...

He finally catches up to him in the pokemon center's lobby.  "Ventus!  We need to talk.  NOW."  Nathan doesn't look like a happy camper.  Ralts is scared.  Swiftfire is nervous.  And there's no keeping him from speaking his mind to Ventus.

Upon he withdrew Apsis right before the Pokemon Center, it was snatchable that a lot of tension has been unconsciously withdrawn as well. The air was clean now in the fregrance of the night, filled with the emotions over the day. Oh, Shiva loved this.

She kept silent after she has brought her thoughts on him. Letting Ventus sort his own thoughts, calm a little... From his uncommon spare of words and this...feeling of being inapproachable, it was the best choice for now. Was this...sadness over the situation? Yet another contrary coming among them...? Oh well... It's gonna be a long night.

He finally catches up to him in the pokemon center's lobby.  "Ventus!  We need to talk.  NOW."  Nathan doesn't look like a happy camper.  Ralts is scared.  Swiftfire is nervous.  And there's no keeping him from speaking his mind to Ventus.

YES, it WILL be a long night. But Shiva will stay. If it has to do with something that concerns ALL of them, she'll stay adamant on this. She may not...bring up her thoughts, not even speaking of interfering, but she'll listen and make up her own mind about it at all afterwards.
