[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Larry might fight Nathan after sitting around for some time now I guess playing with oshawott and kakuna like puppies

Larry with a happy tune and a jump in his step walked in to the room that everyone was in "ah what a nice day isn't it I mean hugging Rachel was the highlight of my day and NOTHING can get better than that." Larry said with butterflies in his stomach "wait a minute. VETUS HAS AN ARBOK!" Larry screams as he runs and hides behind Shiva "its to big and scary for me" Larry said as he was shivering in fear of the giant snake "I like snakes but that's too big for me, I like smaller pokemon not pokemon the size of Godzilla!"
RIP Larry 9/9/2016 - 8/31/2017 "blessed by lord Godmunk with patriotic values and a crush that lasted longer than expected"  Heart the skulls ruins RP group (main group not the random add ons)

(Arbok is not out and about, mate. If she was, she might have attacked Nathan for mention trying to subdue her, mate. She's not coming out until I build more loyalty, as I don't want her to eat anything I specifically tell her not too!)

Where does Larry want to go next? Route 02 toward Corsage Port, ultimately?

(@Dragonstrike, there you go! No praticular need to quote me, by the way ^^)

...Whoahw. A team of Legendaries.
Must have missed that while seeking for information of Chreshires's history before coming here... In fact, she didn' find much information on the history of it. Maybe check later whether Mallorn's Guidebook offers more on this...

"Indeed, you're native to this region, so you know more about the views on different aspects here. We, are not. At least, me and Ventus aren't. Larry's from Trillium, the same town like you are, is he?" ... "A team of Legendaries..." Awe strikes here. What a power... and what rarities...

She thought about Nathan's words for a little, before actually replying. Tricky situation... "You know, I'm actually sure he can get control over the snake eventually. It's just...I think she's already used to be fed with defeated Pokemon and that plays a big part in the fact that she keeps a hold on him as her caretaker and finally evolving to her full form. While most carnivorus Pokemon can be re-educated to be fine with the usual Pokemon food from stores or selfmade, doing so now would only hinder in the process. She might not understand why it shall be this way now. In worst case, this will make her just more aggressive. "

Ah, he's sorry for what has happened. That's...interesting. Still petting Ralts the whole time. Did the small Pokemon made his Master feel confident enough to bring up the topic on his own? "No, it's fine, I guess... I... probably just overreacted in the situation, that happens sometimes when I feel cornered. ... Now, don't get any ideas! I appreciate your offer. It's just...that I need and wish for practical experience. Own experience.  My own Pokemon, the responsibility, the handling and care for them. I cannot always rely on the help of others, can I? Regardless of curently lacking an own Fire Type. Maybe I'll get one soon enough, though."

She had the Talonflame Charm, though! Even if it had no actual effect... Apart from the emotional effect. "That's exactly why I asked the Daycare owners whether I can keep the egg in their in-house hatchery after I had it with me the first night. To speed the process up a little. Telperion University is in Botanville, southeast from here, right? Given we have to cross the mountains if we want to get there" - There's a map in the Guidebook, so she knows - "I think the egg has more than enough time, There is no need to be impatient. Some eggs hatch faster than others, some need more time, you know? That one, with the weird black spots, can have all the time it needs."

Flipping through the Guide, you find him mentioned only in Cress City and the Skull Ruins chapters.

Hitmonchan's Guide to Creshire has this to say about The King:

"King Sarimanok was wealthy beyond belief. He ruled Creshire until the original Pokemon League overthrew him. He was adored by the populace until, historians believe, he reached some kind of tipping point and was violently overthrown. He owned a multitude of legendary Pokemon, the tokens of his royalty. He is said to have sat on a throne of Charizard skulls. The Skull Ruins is supposed to be the ruins of his castle, and the graves of his servitors, but no one has ever found the mythical throne. Perhaps it doesn't really exist. All that was ever found was a tablet, with an inscription translating to "Healing hands, deadly hands," repeated a number of times under a faded etching of a deerlike Pokemon. A special archaeology permit is required to access the lower level of the Ruins, while the upper level is said to be haunted."

"Larry is most certainly NOT from Trillium. I don't know why he thinks he can be some kind of hotshot just because he's May's cousin and apparently is friends with a whole bunch of people around the region. His mom's in Corsage with his 'talking' Zorua. I don't even know if he's even from this region originally. From what I can tell, he doesn't sound like someone from Creshire. I can't hear the very, very slight accent Creshire natives tend to pick up...well, actually, he sounds kinda like how you and Ven speak, thinking about it...

"Anyways, back on topic...at least let me help you if we come across something that could be useful for hatching the egg. You know how popular Talonflame are around Daycares, right? Well, who knows? There might be a Fletchling somewhere on route 02 already, for all we know, even though the Daycare is still rather new. I've also got experience hatching a few eggs myself, as you've figured. Ponyta eggs, but the basic concepts are mostly the same. I'm more than happy to assist in any way needed.

"Besides, it's not like I could take the egg right now, anyways...at the time I made the suggestion, I had 4 pokemon...but, now I have 6...and I don't have a Breeder's License..."

"Ugh... A throne of Charizard Skulls."

With that in mind, she closed the Guidebook. Wonder if Nathan knows about this as well... In fact, he got her a little curious on the history of the region in the first place.

Well... with that settled, guess it was time for bed... All that talking about the Arbok with the others surely has taken its time. Clock on cell showed 1:03am. Oh well... But it was so calm at night... and the air was fresh due to the open window in her room. One last glance out of it showed that the Festival has come to rest by now as well. It was...unusual to see a place usually filled with life so silent... Nighttime sometimes reveals things that are usually hidden from the eye. Clsoing the window now, though.

As usual, her Pokemon were outside their balls for the night. They were safe here in the room, so why shall they be hidden away in their balls... Plusle and Minun were already nappin on the table, carefully cuddled up to one another. Helios was also napping, leaned against one table leg. What a suprise. Cottonee was resting on the bed, but not sleeping. In fact, the fluffball looked up and greeted her Master joyfully as she came closer. Like saying 'Hey, you're awake too? Awesome!' To think about it, lil' one was brave today... didn't even cared much about the rain in battle although she disliked it... "Listen, dear one." She carefully petted the Cottonee a little, before drawing a Ranc Berry Poffin from the orchid-patterned plate on the table. "You did great today. I said you don't have to prove anything to me, but you decided to do so anyway against that Lapras. Therefore, thank you... that ones's for you. Enjoy, it's selfmade." She handed the poffin to the fluffball, before going to bed then. With that Snivy Plushie in her arms! Oh, and Cottonee might join at some point as well, for cuddles.

The conversation concluded and all conflicts (hopefully) settled, Nathan gets some rest for the night. The first thing he does the next morning is call his mom and tell her what's been going on in Ginger Town. She's worried about the troubles he's been having with the group, but happy to hear that he's got his first gym badge! She reminds him to continue being careful as he travels before they end the call, as well. Nathan's last note is that he thinks they'll be traveling towards Corsage next.

The call took a little time, so he's actually the last one to reach the lobby the next morning. Everyone is there, trying to figure out where they're headed next. Larry's insistent that they go to Corsage Port next. Nathan agrees with Larry that that's where they should be headed next. There's a gym in Corsage, anyways, according to the pokedex's map. There's barely any hint of last night's conflict in Nathan's expression and emotions. He's trying to set it aside from his worry, trust in Ventus's abilities and decisions a bit more. It's a fragile trust, though...

Cottonee is happy to snuggle in. The new day dawns. (1 XP)

The festival outside has been almost entirely packed away. Belle, Tramp, Trax, Miltank, and Mr. Mime show up to wish you goodbye and goodluck, and to ask where you're going next. They're back to Trillium Town and onward to the desert.

Btw, it's about 2 days between most towns on the map. The ones that are farther away are pretty clear, like the Hog Potato Swamp.

Ah... Next morning was another chance... Although she went to bed realitively late, Shiva was one of the first to be down in the Pokemon Center. Cottonee must have snuggled up to her at some point! In fact, as she awoke, she only saw the Pokemon's white fluff. Aww.

Waiting for the others down here to arive then, is it... And more coffee. At some point, she also slid the spoon she was stirring the cofffee into bagpack... She didn't enjoy the thought much, but... After all, she could use one to train her Abra's Psychic Powers. It was for good reasons and intentions. And the staff won't go poor because they lost an ordinary spoon.

She was relatively free in the decision where to go next, but will ask for a quick stop-by at the Daycare to gather the black-spotted egg.
