[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Maybe that's the one I'm thinking of too. Either way, Nylon, you are welcome to ask questions if any part of the Encounter Slot system doesn't make sense to you!

Nathan would be more than happy to answer any questions Ventus has if he asks.  Nathan's mentioned (in passing) that he knows a bit about history of various regions due to extensive reading, and it's a favorite topic of his.  What better way to find out answers than to ask a native who's compared Creshire's history with other regions'?  Of course, most of his knowledge has been dropped on Shiva instead, so Ventus might not have recognized this, yet...but again, it was mentioned in passing during the argument in the combee hive, as well as during the brief discussion of arbok.

'Well, now we know who they are, and are better prepared for the type of threat they pose. If they thought Apsis was a problem, wait until they see her regal majesty now!'

Friendly reminder that Nathan was the only one who actually managed to hit and do damage to that scimitar.  Ventus and Larry missed or did no damage with every single attack they used iirc.  If he thinks anyone is a problem, it's going to be Nathan since he's the one who nearly KOed the scimitar, even after he attempted to flee!

I can't, I'll go to bed now.

Dragon, let's not be too nit-picking on the simitar-battle, shall we?

Nathan was keeping an eye on that battle as it progressed, if not what was going on around it (not that there was much else going on).  If someone mentions their contributions there to him, he's going to be...annoyed, let's say.  My friendly reminders here are so we can prevent that in-character for as long as possible! Tongue

Also, the scimitar himself might also just laugh at anyone else who tries to claim they contributed to driving him off in that swamp. That'd be quite the reality check!

For the first point, Nathan has never really brought up his knowledge of the region's cultural past and mythology, only his rancher background, Ralts backstory (to an extent), and about info on his father to Ventus. And before, he really was not aware of how strong people felt about Pokemon, compared to other regions, so he really didn't pay attention at the time. Now, if he were to bring it up, Ventus would be more than happy to have a conversation about it, as well as share his region's mythology of his own in return. Give and receive, give and receive.

For the second point, you are right, but so is Ventus, sorta. While Apsis didn't do any damage, so still posed an obstical he had to overcome. And he would expect an Ekans, not a Arbok with Fire Fang. Glare plus Fire Fang should take the pep out of his step!

I've got something for @Iron to do: fix the link to Nathan's gym battle with Zamboni in The Story so Far. It currently leads to the final turn in that battle, instead of the first. Some other events could potentially be added, but that's up to him as well.
