Another sigh.  "Alright, I guess the training can wait, so I'll join you just to make doubly sure everything turns out okay...good chance for Porygon to get some practical practice in too, I guess...unless you'd rather I use Swiftfire to help you take its health down more quickly?  You're the one who wants to catch it, so I'll follow your lead."

As the two of them try to track Scyther down, Nathan notices he's been feeling a bit less...winded lately.  'All this walking and running seems to have been doing me some good lately, I guess...I didn't think I'd ever feel this fit, to be honest...' (20 exp spent on 1 more Vitality!)

Bring his hands together in a *Clap!*, Ventus grinned at Nathan in happiness. "Excellent! I don't mind what Pokémon you will be using, my friend, but I rather not knock it out if I can. From my experience, that's a way to get cause a Pokémon to become more disobedient, not less. Besides, I want to test Ariel prowess against such a threat, and I think using Porygon would good practice for it, like you said!" he chatter, keeping a Keen Eye on where the Scyther might be located. The atmosphere of the forest seems to help in his concentration, as he appears a little more focused than in the past. (6 XP being spent to level up Channel by 1 Point!)

As everyone else runs of to their places, Valder walks into the forest looking for anything that might get his attention. He goes around a big rock, jumps over a river, and starts walking back.

  On the way back he decides to let Theo out of its pokeball. "How are you, Theo. You see... I'm sorry for my recklesness. I should have remembered that every Nidoran has Double Kick". Valder looks at Theo's Razor Claw and makes a sorry sigh. "You okay, hotshot?"

Ah... Next morning. More choices, more chances. We'll see what the day holds...

Interestingly, Shiva was the first one to wake and get up. Her rest was...calm and free of further disturbances, and the fact that she cannot remember having any bad nocturnal dreams was a good sign. Still the first one out of the tent. Upon stepping out, it was immediately clear that it was relatively early in the morning, but nature and surroundings were awake for hours already. It had something peacefull, innocent... Not the same as nighttime, but on a similar level at least.

Shiva placed herself a little aside from the camping site under one of the maples that were rooting there in all their might and beauty. Enjoying the early beams of sunlight as wel as the shaddy place the tree was providing, she was literally alone with her mind in a silent surrounding while waiting for the others. Again.

She still had the top hat with the Azurill in her arms. Well, now she has it on her lap. The mouse was awake - did she wake it up? - and gazed at their new Master with the biggest and cutest eyes. Yet a little sleepy maybe. Shiva could not help but to smile down at the blue ball and gently stroke them behind their ears...  Oh, whoever dared to make lil' Azurill sad before Nathan fished it out of the river, will receive a lesson. For sure. Though, she had the feeling that Azurill grew a little fond of her. At least, the small Pokemon seemed to feel alright when being close to Shiva. As well as around her other Fairy-Companion... Grassy Cottonee. Upon the fluffball was called out of her ball to enjoy the current setting around her caretaker, she drifted around a little, before coming to rest beside Shiva among a few daisies that were growing there.

Thinking of Nathan reminded her on what he asked her yesterday... About her ideas and thoughts why Ralts may have evolved and stuff. Oh well... In fact, Shiva had a good assumption about why Ralts was somewhat attatched to her lately. Actually, she was pretty sure about that. But she cannot tell him. Neither wanted she to tell him. It's enough if Ventus knows a little. He promised to leave her alone and keep the words they shared between them, after all. Still Nathan told her that 'Ventus seems to know, but he told him to ask her instead'. ... She'll keep that in mind. Additionally, she was wondering why Nathan was so...bothered about why he now has a Kirlia because of her (?). Maybe... ah, maybe his pride was shattered a little by the fact that she practically outbid him without much ease and intention to do so at all. Haha... How droll. Well, if that's the case, she'll just leave him some space to fix it on his own.

A chirp from Azurill broke her train of thoughts. "Eh... what's wrong, dear one?... Oh, right. Breakfast. There you go." She gave the blue mouse one half of Razz-Blukk-Berry-Poffin to eat, and the other half to Cottonee.

She just watched both of her Pokemon enjoying their food for a while. Just as they finished, and Shiva was just about to elaborate more on the hidden powers lil' Azurill seemed to have with it, she spotted the others outside the tent already. Fine... Guess we'll move on then. Larry still wasn't around... In fact, he didn't meet up with them, neither send any message where he was or what he was doing. Hmm. Well... Sounds like he's fine...hopefully. If something was wrong, he'd probably informed them. Likely that just stormed forward to Fireweed Forest already, thrilled by all the Bug Pokemon that were located there.

I have a bottle of honey, some Poffins, and an indifference towards its hunting habits, so there is a chance I could peacefully get them to join me without fuss. Worst comes to worse and it attack us, however, then its back to square one I suppose."

"Yeah, give it a go...doesn't hurt to try...probably...well, it might...I don't really expect it to work, to be honest.  But sure, go right on ahead.  As long as it doesn't try to ambush us, there's always a slim chance, I guess..."

Nathan just can't seem to manage anything but non-enthusiasm.  He's feeling very distracted.

"Alright, Porygon, come on out."  He summons the digiduck, and it turns to face him, awaiting orders.  "We're looking for a Scyther currently.  Don't attack it unless it attacks us.  Okay?"  Porygon just stares at Nathan.  "I'll take that as an affirmative, I guess...Kirlia, monitor the area carefully.  If you sense the Scyther's nearby, let us know."

Scyther bursts forth, a flash of green from the red bushes. Warned by Kirlia, you turn to face the bug. Blades whirring, a rain of mulch surrounds him. He looks extremely angry at these intruders.

Scyther ignores the proffered honey and attacks him, full out, lightning fast! This is no pushover Pokemon! This is the strongest wild species of this quadrant! Ventus will have to use every fiber of his being to earn this Pokemon!

Ventus and Nathan told Shiva that they'll be off searching for some of the stronger Bug Types. Most likely, Scythers. Well, that's alright to her... Given she's not very fond of the thought anyway and was absolutely weak against Bug Types with her current team on hand. Nope, the egg in incubator taking a free space isn't helping currently. (The Breeder's Lisence is player's knowledge, not character's at this point.)

Aww... But Fireweed Forest was absolutely beautiful to her. So...friendly in atmosphere, somwhat elusive. If there weren't all these bugs, she'd call this place her favorite so far - right after Ginger Town with it's Daycare and Festival. All these red, yellow and orange shades gave it a warm and cozy feeling... Reminded her on a Flareon. Ah, she'd enjoy camping here. If there weren't these splendid-sounding treehouse resorts.

Also these folk art... Shiva had some sort of soft spot for such crafting art. No wonders, given how much she values the Talonflame-Charm from Belle. In fact, she went a little off-track to get a closer look at them. However... Hitmonlee's Guide doesn't mention them - how weird. Maybe they're new or something. That doesn't dimish their beauty and visible skill they were made with!

Shiva places herself at some patch of yellow and orange leaves nearby a particular one that looked like an elusive foxlike Pokemon. Was this, maybe...?! Then gazed down at the Azurill in her arms (still in top hat, as always). Cottonee seemed to enjoy the forest as well, just as her Master.

"So, dear one... Remember today's morning? You know, I actually wanted to try out something with you, seeing that you had no problems lifting a huge pink pearl yesterday..." At this point, the blue mouse was all listening carefully. Will this female nerd with the messy hair help her evolve to something better and stronger...? "Haha, I see I have your attention now." Insert some strokes over Azurill's forhead here. "Let's see... ah, can you see that branch with only red leaves on the small tree up there?" She pointed to mentioned branch, about 20 meters away from Shiva was at the moment and 15 meters above ground.  "You think you can hit it with Water Gun from here?"

That's about at the edge of Azurill's range right now! Pretty impressive for such a small Pokemon.

*PsssssssHHH!* But the little Pokemon can't get the stream of water quite high enough. This makes her very sad.

"Ventus, get down!"  Nathan all but panics when he sees the damage that Scyther did to his friend.  "Kirlia, Teleport with Ventus to somewhere nearby so he can still see what's going on and give orders, and keep him safe!  Porygon, we need to keep this Scyther distracted!  Keep it busy with Tackles!  Don't KO it yet, though!"

Order: Teleport with Ventus to a nearby, safer location still in view of the battle, and defend him if something tries to attack him!  Nathan's taking no chances if Ventus has 2 HP left!
