Does anyone plan to attempt a catch on this beast? Or change their orders?

Order: Throw up to three PokeBalls in an attempt to catch it.

Is Ventus going to take into consideration that someone is trying to catch the beast?

Again, this could be an XP thing.

Edited my latest post to include the fact that Ventus is completely clueless about Sage's character intension. Remember, when in dangerous situations, he tunnel visions badly on whatever the threat is, unless he has a plan and/or he has something else to worry about on top of the danger at hand.

EDIT: After GM ruling, I have decided to delete the post that this post is refrencing. Sorry for the chaos, guys!

Nathan jots down some notes on Mega Evolution in Creshire in his journal while waiting for the others to arrive as well. It's not a subject he'd thought he'd be noting in there aside from a few select cases in Creshire's past, yet here they were. He looks over at Kirlia, who's dancing around with the pearl again, mid-writing, and smiles. He starts frowning again as he continues writing, though.

Just as he was about to command Apsis to finish off the gigantic amphibian, Ventus noticed that the mysterious man was getting prepared to catch it. At the moment, he also remember that said man, as a complete stranger, is completely unaware of his...pragmatic methods when dealing with wild Pokémon. Swiftly, before his Arbok could rear back and strike again, he called out to her, bellowing : "Apsis, restrain yourself! Someone desires to capture this beast, and I do not wish to frighten them with you mauling this Poliwhirl to death! Please, return to my side."

The researcher hoped that his snake would listen to his command. He has made good progress in teaching her to control their carnivorous instinct, but will she listen to his orders this time?

Order: Get Apsis to stop attacking the Poliwhirl, and fall back to my side. I wonder and dread if there will be a disobedience roll for this action...

Oh, thank Reshiram and Zekrom above. She's not alone in this. Ventus was there. And his Arbok - a little startled at first as it appearaed near out of the blue... It's fine... you don't have to act more brave than you are, dear one... He's with you. He always is. Protecting those in need. But...an Oshawatt appeared on the battlefield and tackled the frog. LARRY?! ... ... ... No... This Oshawatt was somewhat different. Did it belong to the boy they found?

Poliwhirl surely was exhausted by the battle and all the electicity it was pestered by. But it was still blocking the path...Hmpf.

Feeling a little more confident now. "Well, done, my rodents! Now, do it aga-"

... ... ...

WAIT. 'Someone desired to capture this beast' - That was Ven's voice. What...? Capture it? Why?! And who? ...Oh. Now, with a direct yet confused glimpse at the source of the words, Shiva realised that it must be the boy they encountered who must have the intention to catch. In fact, was this a Pokeball in his hand...?

Returning her gaze to the battlefield and her companion Pokemon, she spotted that...

(The outcome is now in GM's hand. Plusle/Minun have received a half order to attack again, they may be thrilled to do so and/or proof their high Loyality to me by that. Or they may not get what their Master wants them to do and cease attacks. If Sage wants to catch the Poliwhirl, throw the Pokeball NOW AND IMMEDIATELY.)

Sage, still sitting, threw a PokeBall at the Poliwhirl.

The rodents pick up on Shiva's hesitation and don't attack.

Poliwhirl's will: 6 dice, -3 pain penalization, -1 paralyzed = 2 dice
(6)(3)
Pokeball's Seals: 2 dice
(5)(4)

Poliwhirl was caught!

He's an Oversized Pokemon (note this in your Notes, Sage). So his HP is 6+ your Vitality.
His ability is Water Absorb.
His Happiness will be 0, and his loyalty 0.
His moves are Water Gun, Hypnosis, Double Slap, and Wake-Up-Slap.

Since no one took any damage at all during that battle, I presume you'll be walking onward toward the doctor. You can talk as you do so!

The herbalist lives in a little shack at the end of the southward path. Beyond his shack is a big pond and a stream. On the far side of the pond you can see a sizable island with a little fishing dock on it, all built up out of trash and random junk with boards overtop. Herbs are growing all over this island and around the pond.

Inside the shack is a little old man with a hunchback. Bundles of red and gold herbs hang from the ceiling, and his walls are lined with drawers full of more modern medicines. When Shelmet's problem is described to him, he takes a half hour to mix up a Secret Potion while you wait in his comfortable parlor with some drinks (what he calls Fireweed Tea).

Sage, evidently feeling as well as he could this time, stood. Turning to the male who was tending to him "hey" he said nonchalantly "thanks for tending to me. I was wondering if I might have your name?"
