Nope, afraid that is not going to happen. Not until the researcher has some...quality time with the man. Afterwards, he'll decide whether the man gets to go to prison, or faces a more permeant punishment. Ventus is not going to regret whatever he does, though, rest assured!

Ventus doesn't give a damn about the Pinsirite, as long as that Pokémon does not have access to it. If the new chara want it, be it for power, wealth, or fame, the researcher does not care. If it causes them to find his actions more agreeable, then that is just a bonus, now is it? At least, Ventus gets the feeling that such a decision will end up positively in his favor....

Corsola comes up empty handed! Ventus can tell Corsola found something of interest down there, however. Presumably, Corsola did not even encounter the man in question.

Finally the threat was neutralized and robbed man out of sight. Sage let out a sigh and retrieved Rufflet and Poliwhirl, closing them back into their balls. He then crossed to his two new companions. The term wasn't the best but neither was it incorrect, after all the three of them had faced two decently sized threats. After reaching them Sage politely asked if he might remove the Mega Stone from the Pinsir, for safe keeping of course. Sage liked the idea of having this much power.

Although not being a very level headed person in calm and quiet, Sage could easily be trusted in a battle. He wasn't one to lose his calm or kill in the heat of the moment; however, his judgement on life and death was highly questionable. Sage hated himself for it. Killing in cold blood was almost a second nature. It was who he was, it is who he is.

Orders: Try and retrieve the Mega Stone from the Pinsir.

Uh, yeah...not going to happen.  @Sage, you're a complete stranger to Ventus and Shiva and Valder still.  And don't have a Pinsir you have a strong bond with to even use that Pinsirite.  Or a pokemon even capable of mega evolution, for that matter...  

At least all the orders to 'kill' as opposed to 'faint' make a lot more sense to us as players now...

EDIT: Okay, or maybe it WILL happen because...I don't even want to think about it right now...too many potential reasons...

So, here's the reminder that Pinsir is now just a normal Pinsir since it's been KOed. Attributes are all now 2, type is pure Bug...much less dangerous now.

Fire Fang would also do a better job of inflicting Lethal damage than Ice Fang...though I hope that's not necessary now...

Speaking of which, @Iron, how often can Mega Evolution be triggered? Once per day? Every few hours? And how long does it last (assuming the pokemon isn't KOed and forced out of it prematurely)? That was the one thing I forgot to ask you about earlier in regards to Mega Evolution.

Is it such a bad thing, though? Its a lot more exciting that it turned out like this, I think! Or at least interesting, which is still enjoyable in some fashion!

Ventus is going to be a bit...unhinged for awhile, at least until he return to town with the Shelmet, collects his reward, and turns over the Pinsir to the authorities. After that, or if the bug's trainer tries something dumb like attempt to get it back (Oh nom nom!), he'll start to settle down into his happy self. If enough time passes before he meets Nathan again, they might not even be able to tell if he went Unfettered at all!
