Then he notices Noibat looking rather down.  And then FINALLY notices what Kirlia's feeling.  'Oh.'  

Nathan's a little disappointed in Kirlia's behavior.

Sighing at Kirlia reluctance to let bygones be just that, Ven gave it a rather long stare, as if to say 'You are a sourpuss', before answering Nathan's inquiry. "Yes, let us depart to her location. Hopefully it will not take us too long, as I want to make way towards the next city quickly now!" Lucifer, meanwhile, was still sulking within the researcher's tweed sweater, looking glum at the Psychic aggressiveness. It wanted to be friends with it, but curiosity killed kill the Niobat in this case.

Then he picks a twig off the ground and chews on it like he knew he'd win all along.

"Really loud noises followed by a wolf/fox/dog/thing's howl and a beam of psychic energy launched straight up? Yeah, that's probably a Fennekin in a battle...guess we know where Shiva is, Ventus. Unless you can name any other trainers in this area who might have one?"

A howl pierced the day as a purple beam of energy shot straight up into the sky, catching Ventus' attention rather spectacularly. Hearing Nathan's response, he could only find himself agreeing with them. "I believe you are quite right in you deduction, my friend. Let us make haste to her location, and see what she has been caught up in to cause such a commotion," he replied, before he began making his way to the location of the noise and energy.

A few minutes later, and he arrived at what he believed at was the site, and found that Nathan was absolutely correct. Shiva was currently fawning over her fox in what appeared to be a recent victory over a Whismer and his tone death trainer. "Hmm...it looks like she's busy at the moment, my friend. Well, let's capture her attension, shall we?," Ven said, before he began to wave in the young lass' direction and call her name! Lucifer, still not in the best spirits, notices his master trying to attract the attention of someone, and looks over at Shiva. Is this one of his master's friends?

Ah. Feels good to defeat such an annoyance. Relieving and energizing.

Still, she felt a little overrun by that sudden change in the young Trainer's chance in mind now that she dimished his arrogance a little. Was that regreat she read in his voice? "It's fine! You don't have to yell at me!" Ouch... "Ehm... herbs... Well, I found them deep in the woods. Close to a waterspot." She felt VERY relucant to give the actual location - which was 'inside a Healer's shack deep in the woods, near a pond'. Reshiram knew what would happen if that guy appears there. Bet the Healer won't be all happy about such a loud and upgoing person...

Oh, more money felt good as well. Going to save a nice amount of it now, in case it will be needed at some point. Always have some backup! That fine drastically reduces her money-on-hand, but she was rather glad that she was able to pay right away and wasn't forced to earn money first. That got her wondering... Did Ven got a fine as well? How high would it be? Hmm... Maybe he'll tell if she'll ask rather nicely out of curiosity.

Once that young Trainer left, she turned towards her Fennekin. Lil' fox seemed confident although being a little bruised and already found twig to chew. Haha... Adorable.

Carefully, she petted the fox's head. "Very well done, dear one. I see my trust in you was not for nothing. In fact, you impressed me with your fire power." She drew a Potion from bagpack and showed it to the fox to sniff on. "How about we handle your wounds a little before we go for a trip to the woods together, shall we? It might sting a little, but you'll surely feel better afterwards."

While spraying her Pokemon with the Potion, she could not help but to feel happy with her fox. A little more than before, that is. Yeah, it will indeed be fun to raise lil' one to a fully developed Fox Wizard. That purple beam... If she was not completely mistaken, it was a real Psybeam. Neat... First actual Psychic move... Will be a good counter against Posion until Helios was able to be the main choice against that Type. Doubled security for her Fairies.

While she packed away the now empty bottle of potion - she'll keep it, who knows whether it can be useful and leaving trash on the streets is very wrong! - and petting her a fox a little more as some sort of hero reward, her gaze fell on the way behind her. Were those... Nathan and Ventus approaching? ... Oh! They were. Both seemed high at spirits. Looks like she won't go off into the woods alone anymore, not at all!

Relatively high spirits. Nathan's still looking a little distracted, and Kirlia is hugging the pearl tightly. Still, Nathan greets her as he and Ventus approach. "Impressive Psybeam your Fennekin has there. You could probably see that from miles away. So, this is what you were doing in the meantime, eh?"

Ventus was not quite happy as his appearance suggested as well. His recent battles did nothing for his debt, and Kirlia continued pettelant behavior towards his Niobat was starting to grate on him. Speaking of the draconic bat, it tilted its head and let out a tiny screech, before it darted out of the researcher shirt, and flew Shiva way. Once there, it hovered briefly above her, before perching on her shoulder, looking at her Noctowlishly. So this is his master friend....she smells nice and herby! Bobbing its head up and down, Lucifer began to regain his cheer from earlier, clearly happy to meet the young lass!

"Oh dear, forgive Lucifer for his impertinence, but he's just curious around strangers. I received him in exchange for my Scyther, whom I've decided would be better suited in someone else's care. Now, what are you planning to do now? Nathan and I are planning on leaving town soon, but perhaps we can finish whatever task you have first."
