I would say a knife is less useful to Spearow than an item designed for Pokemon, even if it's meant for Farfetch'd. But it is better than nothing for a Spearow trained in the art of Pokesamurai. And I do think it's an interesting character choice!

Hey, if a Meowth can learn how to speak in a human language, I bet our Ronin Spearow can eventually pick up the art of how to use human weaponry to its fullest extent. Especially if it has a particularly good incentive to do so...*Spearow gives a nasty glare at the researcher, and begins to sharpening the blade menacingly!*

Why would I hate you for that? If anything, Ventus will probably praise Shiva for her kindness, though he's going to be curious where Spearow's new knife went off too.... Though, he's smart enough not to bring up the fact that he had the knife in the first place. He left that weapon for it to defend itself with, since he was going to be leaving it alone at that point.

Shiva has neither ever had any idea that you were in possession of a knife. She didn't realized you snatched one during Poffin-Baking-Session. Whether Ven will tell that it was HIM who left the Spearow there, is up to you to decide~ But seeing that the Spearow might - most likely will - react agressive towards Ven once it's fully healed, Shiva will begin to wonder what he did to cause such a reaction...

Oh good, Sage went after the Bulbasaur (and an orb? What the heck is it holding?). I guess he talked out what happened before that with Iron?

Yay, @Sage is back! But now Nathan is going to interrogate your chara until he either forfets the Pinsirite, or decides to send you packing by various means. Ventus might leap to your defense, though, since he admires you character's brutality in fights (He sees that as a willing to do what's necessary to protect others) and the fact that he accidently cottoned him onto a lot of info about the Scimitars themselves. That, and he knows what its like to be on the receiving end of Nathan's explosive fury, so empathy is strong here!

Interestly, every new character that has entered the campaign is indebted to Ventus is some way. Valder works for me right now, and Sage was directly recruited by Ven to hunt down and scower the Scimitars off the face of Tandor. Deranged as he is at time, he's very good at making friends and allies, if he chooses to. Go empathy!!!

Luckily for him, 4 of Nathan's pokemon might not be in fighting shape.  This depends on when Nathan finally meets him, of course.  And how much HP the pokemon recover between encounter sets. 

Also interestingly, Nathan doesn't really trust either of them because of how they met the party and because of what happened directly afterwards.

Considering how taciturn these charas are, the only person that is liable to bond with them to any greater extent besides Ventus is Shiva, given she's the most understanding person in our group by a country mile. Either that, or Ven might turn out to be the group intermediary, if he has to get everyone to work together rather than against each other.

Shiva might be the Heart of the group, and Nathan the Just Leader, but Ven's the Mafia Boss at this point! Merce, influence, power, empathy, and a mind for politics...he has it all! Mwahahahaha!

Ventus is also concerned with Sage, but for different reasons than Nathan: His overuse of drugs and somewhat poor health. If you remember waaaaaay back, the researcher got onto Mallorn for not taking care of himself, so seeing another person trashing their own health with narcotics no less will cause no end of worry for the fretting researcher.

And this is only the tip of the iceberg, if it turns out that he has more traits/backstory that proves to be...worrisome, to say the least

Given Nathan doesn't trust Sage and Ven is concerned over him, me is the only one who has a somewhat neutral and silently curious attitude towards him... Aside from seemingly ordering lethal damage she got the feeling that he clearly knew what he was doing. 

As for the meds he takes without hesitation, we don't know anything about that currently and I bet he won't outright tell us why. Appearantly Valium is involved, which is mostly used to treat anxiety and panic disorder...

Oh, we have a mama Bulbasaur! I'm glad Ventus didn't choose her, as he might have either sold the egg he found for money (Starters are always sought out by trainers!), or gave it as a snack to Apsis after knocking her out. After all, he did promise to feed her for all the trouble at the pond, and what no better treat than an egg!
