Gah, that post took the last three hours to type up. Shiva made a good case for anyone who doesn't understand how Ralts evolves.

But Nathan KNOWS that Ralts don't evolve based on others' happiness. Just that one line that's the basis for her argument completely destroyed any credibility it might have had. Sure, she dodged the question. But she didn't dodge it well enough. It doesn't help that it was very similar to the answer she gave the first time, either.

And figuring out how Nathan would react to that, and if he'd tell her his backstory, took ages.

Days to evolve is from the new ruleset, Dragonstrike.

I just checked both versions of the core book.  It's 10 days to evolve in both for Kakuna.  Metapod is 7 as well.

So, unless Larry's Kakuna evolves early for some reason...

Looks like Shiva's secret is getting to a rather close to a breaking point for Ventus, given that it has caused Nathan to suffer a minor breakdown. Depending on how Nathan responds, the researcher might decide enough is enough...

Also, sorry for Ven being so authoritative about Kirlia, Dragonstrike. He's just concerned for his Niobat's safety at this point, and he know very well the dangerous that a disobedient and/or malicious Fairy type can be, especially to a Dragon type. His Pokémon wellbeing comes before the group's, as strange as that is to type!

As for Kirlia, Nathan did tell him to not act aggressively towards the bat.  If Kirlia does so anyways, he's going to get a stern talking to at bare minimum.  Nathan's not going to appreciate that mistrust, and he's already on a thin thread as it is.

Whether Ventus breaks or not, Nathan's going to already know just as much as Ventus does on the matter.

Basically, if Nathan is anyway hindered or harmed by Shiva keeping a secret from them, Physcially or emotionally, he's not going to be so patient with her any longer. The bond between them is great, but he care a whole lot about your chara as well, and he's not going to let his issues go unaddressed!

Ohhh, that reaction from Nathan came a little unexpected. I didn't meant to make him sob... At the same time, he'd have to understand she can't just tell him. She promised the Daycare owners not to, and she's definitely not up to break that promise. Regardless how hurtful this may be for Nathan. Ven doesn't know more than he does about the secret mission, he just GUESSED it must be something illegal or dangerous or whatever. She didn't gave any hint whether/what is correct.

Reply on this will come later though, same with Ven's request to hand him the flowers, because I'd need to come up with a matching reaction first AND lack the tine to type it out just now.

Just keep in mind that all that happened after Shiva went back inside the tent to nap.  He was still trying to get his thoughts in order when she stood up and left.

Nathan might be a loner, but he's been getting used to having this constant companionship from other humans over the last (almost) two weeks.  Being left out like that by those who are becoming his good friends is hitting him pretty hard.

Nope, not going to happen~ Such a behavious is disrespectful to her as well.

Sure it's hurtful to Nathan, I do comprehense and feel sorry for him... But it has to be this way. Maybe one day, if the secret mission plays out, he'll understand that she's been just helping him bringing down The Almaniac all secretly and silently from the background.
