[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Well, he did kinda run off to find Ventus without telling her first...and a small part of that was due to not wishing to interact with her if he could avoid it.  Of course, he was more concerned with finding Ventus and making sure he was okay at the time, which is the main reason that happened.  He almost entirely forgot about Shiva in the process of that, though.  Which, frankly, is going to be the main cause of any further awkwardness in the upcoming day.

He's in a bit of an emotional rut right now, too, and is a little tired to boot due to the small amount of (low quality) sleep he got.

Oh, so we're just going to have them meet at the Aquarium? Alright, then. Let me just type up my piece real quick...

Hmmm... Could that meditation-thing be interesting for Helios (pure Psychic evolution-family) and Fennekin (gains Psychic Type on Final Form of evolution) as well? I have a good Insight, and am intersted in leveling-up to an Insight of 4 at some point during the campaign.

Nothing's stopping you from giving it a try in some training.  It probably works best with trying to learn spiritual-like moves.  Calm Mind and Meditate are just the easy examples that it helps with.

Ven has had zero sleep at ALL, and the last time he did any deep meditation, it lead to a vision of him almost being kidnapped by his fairy godmother. Suffice to say, if it wasn't for all the caffine he drank last night, he'd be a wreck with the way the town is right now!

I didn't mean it for the sake of learning a new move, necessarily. Rather as a Taining Session for Helios to gain more awareness of his Psychic Powers and familiarize with the Alpha Waves of his brain and for Fennekin as preparation to become a partial Psychic Type one happy day.

I see that there's apparently been some will point losing. Did I lose a will point? I didn't catch that.

And I want to ask about the rule book.
I was just going through the pokedex in the book when I reached Wailord. I took a look at its stats and my eyes moved to the base HP. Do you know what number I saw?... Forty, freaking seven! So, it has 47 health? is that 'legit'? Anyway, I thought to myself that if Wailord had that much hp, Blissey must have even more. So I checked Blissey, and do you know how much Blissey has? 5, period. Even Pangoro has more (7).
Do I gravely misunderstand something? Now my best guess is that it's the pokemon's size that matters. discrimination!

If it is 'legit' then I think everyone should get themselves a Wailord right now.

Nope, according to what I understood from Iron's wording, you did not loose any Will Points.

Wailord is Boss, it's weight is 1 ton according to Corebook and you can still withdraw it without problems into a Pokeball that fits into your hand.

That's something we discussed earlier.    Yes, it's the size that influences HP, good observation.  The writers decided a giant rock snake wasn't very threatening if it only has 3 HP (well, that's the main reason why they made that decision).

The downside to having pokemon that big is...well, they're ginormous.  And more often than not, very disobedient.

If you didn't notice, Arbok has 11 base HP, and Ekans has 6.  A lot of serpentine pokemon have higher than average HP bases. (this also results in a weird situation where Dragonair has more HP than Dragonite...ummm...)

Oh, and if you want a Wailmer, they live in Murkrow Cove, according to the map on page 1 of the game thread.

Given how Pokémon strength functions in this game, if anyone gets a Dratini at some point, they are better off only evolving to its second stage, as its Higher HP will be of a far greater asset in most battles than the moves that Dragonite has/provides for free. Pure Dragon typing is also decent defense wise, having 4 resistence and 3 Weakness (One of which is against itself, so it sort of cancels out) compared to the Weakness to Rock and super weakness to Ice! It will also be far less disobedient, so its would be easier to get a handle on its behavior early on!
