Well, I think the reasoning behind Machamp and Gengar is that their (average) sizes are a mere .1m/3 inches off the size of their pre-evos. Gengar is slightly smaller than Haunter, and Machamp is slightly bigger than Machoke. That's probably why the writers did it that way.

Dragonite, it's easy to understand their reasoning for, since the average size listed in the 'dex is just over half of Dragonair's. To be fair though, most of Dragonair's 'size' is likely just from its length...

Actually I don't want Larry to do any more trading without my permission. When someone leaves the party, they take their stuff with them, minus a few plot-crucial elements that I would fiat.

My reasoning behind this is that someone not in the party won't value their Pokemon as much as someone still actively playing. It's too much like looting. Plus, Larry is not really following the mechanics of the game (or at least not a Player Character) anymore.

As GM, however, I think that might be a fair trade, so if Super_Trainer_Larry thinks it's a trade Larry would want, I'll allow it.
Shiny Pokemon are worth more money, but fossil Pokemon are very desirable by completionists.

Oh, I didn't realize that when I made my offer! I just wanted to offer them a fair trade for their shiny, if they were interested! I'll run any trades by you first for now on, so that I don't step on your toes like this again!

If that trade DOES go through, he might freak out a little since he's not entirely sure Larry would be the best handler for it...for multiple reasons. Even less so than scientists that would poke and prod it and whatever else as they tried to figure out what caused it to be half fossil, half pokemon.

If you have an idea how the move is conducted, you can possibly lowering the cost of learning the mover for Marill (future), and make it easier to teach the rest of our Pokémon!

If @Iron allows that once I ordered and enjoyed a Rain Dance displayed by Vaporeon, I'd surely appreciate it~

First, let's see if Larry is interested in the Fossil Pokémon before we start panicking. If he does want it, I can always request they take it to Mallorn first for study, and get advice on how to take care of a fossil Pokémon! Of course, since Nathan did let have Ven obtain full ownership of Omanyte, he's not in much of a postion to complain if the trade goes through to begin with....(No offense to your chara, of course!)

Simple: bond with it. Given enough time and divine intervention (Hint hint, Iron!), Azu will become a might Marill someday! That's a great thing, right? Other than that, you could try taking it to a Pokémon Consular and see what if you can't find what got it so depressed to begin with, and work from there (assuming that their is such a profession in the game...)!
