'Huh, it looks like the docent is already capitalizing upon Omanyte's sudden appearance in the Aquarium. Well, since I have the genuine article in my possession, no need for me to spend money on a cheap fake,' Ven though, looking at the trinkets briefly, before noticing that Shiva was looking at a blue piece of sea glass in the shape of a...heart? Huh...

She can't benefit from the shard at the same time as the bell, but if it's small enough I'd allow you to attach it somewhere out of the way. Like on a tail or ear.

(That's entirerly your call, but as long as it doesn't count as unfair towards the other players, I'd agree on that.)



Seeing that Azurill clearly showed an interest in such a shard and Shiva almost immediatly fell in love with the shard being shaped like a Luvdisk... It's just too cute and fortuitous aaand somewhat expresses the affection she developed for Azu and her habit to hide and sleep in a top hat...

She almost didn't notice Ven was still by her side. And was giving her a curious yet weird look. Eh... "Don't say a thing, Ven, that shall be a gift for Azurill. What are your thoughts? It's not that cheap, but I can surely afford it and Azu seems to be eager to get something to help her on her developing Water moves... "

Ventus looked taken aback by her statement, and one could see the faintest of blush on his checks if they right in his face. Still, he managed to smoothly recover, saying : "What is there to say, but that its a piece of sea glass? As for my opinion on purchasing it... I believe its best that you save your cash for the time being. This purchase might satisfy your desires right now, but what if you come upon an offer or service you truly are in need of, but find you can't afford it because of frivolous spending? Its always best to save any money you have, and buy only the bare essentials you needs, or something that is cruicial towards completing your own goals. Of course, this is only my advise on the matter; feel free to do whatever you wish with you money."

Lucky, she has not realised that blush coming from his side. If she did, we'd have a very awkward situation here!

However, hearing Ven's advice made her sigh silently. He was right in the end, Shiva was overly thankful that she was able to pay off her fine of 500$ right away instead of being forced to desperatly finding jobs doable to her to be free again. What if such a situation arises again and/or there comes a similar issue where money on hand was needed immediately? She wouldn't enjoy relying on others to help her out completely...

That settles it then. "... .... ... Maybe you're right on this, Ven. After all, I wished to save up a moderate amount of money for emergencies. The decision right here about the shard might fire back at me once day and I'd curse myself for not following my emotions and just outright buy an item I enjoy, but let's hope it does not, right?" Still, it pained her heart a little to part ways with a beautiful adorable seashard. But it's better this way. Let's hope Azu will get over it as well...

She faintly took him by the hand again and brought both Azurill and Cottonee closer to her. "Well, if you don't wish to buy anything, let's go and find Nathan again, alright?"

Mechanics:
Okay, I struggled to decide, but decided for Breeder's Lisence and against seashard in the end. Unless there are other offbeat things to see in the Aquarium - someone mentioned a golden Magikarp at some point? - I'd be up to find Nathan and reunite to head to the Dojo. Windos asked me not to bring up Ronin Spearow in the Aquarium, so that issue has been postponed.

Ventus and Shiva find Nathan wandering around the aquarium's exhibits rather aimlessly. He's smiling, but there's something...sad about it. He looks rather calm, though, as does Kirlia. Staryu is practically a ball of energy. He hasn't noticed them approaching yet, instead being rather focused on the pokemon in the exhibit as well as Staryu.

Whoahw... She hasn't seen such an expression on Nathan before. It looked overall fascinating on him, and she got the feeling that there was more behind his smile than just delight over all the Pokemon to see here. Yet she could not figure out what it was. Gloom? Maybe. Why gloom, at a place like an Aquarium...?

However, she left it to Ventus to gently give him a wake-up call.

Ventus and Shiva find Nathan wandering around the aquarium's exhibits rather aimlessly.  He's smiling, but there's something...sad about it.  He looks rather calm, though, as does Kirlia.  Staryu is practically a ball of energy.  He hasn't noticed them approaching yet, instead being rather focused on the pokemon in the exhibit as well as Staryu.

Spotting Nathan, he was able to tell that while the Aquarium has done them good, sadness still clung to him like a barnacle on a jetty. This sadness, however, didn't feel agonizing or tired, but...bittersweet instead; a particular brand of unhappiness that Ventus is intimately familiar with. Deciding that such a state of mind didn't fit Nathan at all, he put a finger to his lips to Shiva in a shushing motion, and then began to creep up on him and Kirlia to startle them out of the funk! 'Spooking him will free him from the grasp of bitter nostalgia, and is a nice form of payback for leaving the two of us without a word, and worrying Shiva in the process!'

Order: Just for fun, I want to try and sneak up on Nathan and Kirlia and surprise them. Ven wants his friends to be delighted, not melancholy! Do you want to roll for it, Dragonstrike, or will you just let it happen?

(Iron just went offline, so for the sake of time and flow, I'll let it happen. Besides, it'll be funny, if a little...disturbing for Nathan and everyone around the group Gonna be one catch though...)

While Nathan hasn't noticed, Kirlia has. And he knew instantly what Ventus was up to. However, Kirlia doesn't inform Nathan of it since it's well intentioned...

Now, whether Nathan will see it that way has yet to be seen...
