Rattata learns a lot of strong moves VERY quickly. It might also have beefed up stats from prior experience as well. My main worry is if it happens to know Crunch...

That would terrible, especially if Kirlia is sent out to fight against the rat! If it knows Crunch and happens to land a fully damage Critical on him...(Which would be either 7 or 8 damage, max), they would just drop dead instantly, assuming 1:1 Lethal Damage for every point of damage. Even at low amounts of damage, only me and Valder have any items that can quickly treat that form of damage (Sitrus Juice can heal 2 LD, while Valder's Mushroom can heal 3 LD), so Nathan would have to immedianlty start scrambling for the PC if he wants to prevent Kirlia from taking even more LD over time!

Let's await the battle before we worry over things... Good thing that my Fairies resit Dark-Type attacks. Too bad Kirlia is part Psychic additionally. :C

Or Nathan will do the same thing he did with Plusle and do a medicine check. Only need 1 success, and he still has 3 dice in its accuracy pool. He would head to the Center immediately if the damage was a problem, likely with Teleport. Hyper Fang is probably more worrying, since the Rattata is pretty much guaranteed to know it and both Shiva and Nathan have no pokemon that resist it on hand currently.

Overall, I'm not worried about the battle itself. Just curious to see how it unfolds and see how it manipulates the upcoming events.

Oh my, Windos, it's a shiny skunk!!! This will be interesting.

Well, that changes Ventus plans of brutally murdering the furry critter! Of course, knocking it out and shoving it into his PC and trading it off for money or a great trade isn't so good of a fate for Stunky either, so it balances out (Negatively for the skunk, that is!).

It's a way better decision than murdering it and feeding it to Apsis... Not only would it be a waste of a wild shiny, but also would Shiva not be...delighted if she'd get to know that he blindly let out his rage on an innocent Stunky, regardless of an evolved exemplar scared him to near-death once and her fear of this Poison Type.

The Stunktank didn't scare him to near death, it mauled him hard. If it wasn't shiny, it would be plain dead, ya know! Also, what Pokémon are you sending out to fight that Jumbo Rattatta? Surprised Iron didn't go with a Rattacate, but he must not want to pressure us that much!

Okay, 'it mauled him hard' might be the better wording.

I'll have Cottonee and Azurill fight that Rattata until it has sucessfully been driven away from camp, but I'd like to await Nathan's answer to my request to join him in battle first. Doubt that he'll send me off, but better approach him slowly.

If Stunky knows better, it will get into that Pokeball. If not, it won't have time to digest how bad of a decision it made...
