Ah, good.  Everyone was there now.  Now, uh...how was he going to phrase this?

Kirlia comes over to him and takes Nathan's hand.  When Nathan looks at him, he nods.  It's as if he's saying 'you can do this.  There's nothing wrong with it.'

He lets out a breath.  'No reason to be nervous about it...right...it's just a friendly hang out, that's all...'

"So...uh...I've been doing some thinking...and...I feel like I haven't thanked the both of you enough yet.  I know I've said it a few times for various things, but...I wanted to do something a little more meaningful...we've been through a lot together over the last two weeks...and I never once thanked either of you for sticking with me despite the...difficulties.  It's been...really great, having some reliable friends for once..."

He sets his bag on the ground and reaches in.  He pulls out not one, not two, but EIGHT jars of honey.

"The combee have been hard at work, gathering this honey.  It's about time someone enjoyed it.  I was planning to share it among my pokemon...but I figured it'd be sweeter if we shared it among all of our pokemon."

Nathan then reaches into his bag again.  He holds out a closed hand towards Ventus.

"Ven, thank you for your help with Kirlia's arm.  I think you'll find this more useful than I have.  It's been sitting in my bag for far too long.  It should go well with the honey."  When Ventus reaches out a hand, Nathan drops his only Ranc berry into it, then turns to Shiva.

"Shiva, again, thank you for the support with Rattata.  I promise I'll explain why I reacted like that when we get back to Corsage.  And I'll help you with paying for the Breeder's License as well.  I think you've more than earned my help already. We can discuss how we'll split the cost later."

And after that, he turns to let all his pokemon roam around the campsite,  indicating to Ventus and Shiva to do the same, and speaks to everyone.  "Alright guys.  We're going to have a small party of sorts.  Just an entire evening of relaxing, mingling, and enjoying some honey.  Sound good to everyone?"

Whoahw. This indeed came a little unexpecting. But that did not dimished the sweetness of it at all! Well, literally.

It was uncommon to her so Nathan that..nervous, when there actually was no need for it. But within the same breath, she appreciated his very words, like, every single one of them. If there was something she liked, then iit was people showing honest thankfulness. And that's exactly what Nathan was radiating currently! She'd give him a hug to both make him feel better and to show appreciaton for his actions, but given she almost crushed him when she did so the last time (which was during the Rattata-dilemma)... So she was fine with gently taking his free hand into hers and giving him an honestly appreciating smile. Somewhat embarrased and coy, but honest.

"Hehe... My, didn't expect you to pull off such a stunt. Combee's surely were busy gathering such an amount, weren't they? However... I guess I can only return your words... In fact, I'm overly thankful we have gotten the chance to meet! And developed some friendship meanwhile, on top of that. While we had our difficulties, it's surely great to see that we worked it out rather nicely~"

Holy Arceus... He even offered opening up towards her about why he reacted the way he did when it came to the rattata, as well as helping out on paying for the Breeder's Lisence... If this was not generous, Shiva had no liking for Fairies.

What a nice way to end up the day, indeed!~ All of her Pokemon were summoned out of their balls to join their friendly small...what did he call it again, party? Might not get the chance that soon enough, so they all deserve to enjoy some honey as well as free+bonding time. Bet they as well as their owner suffer from a state called 'drunken by happiness' as soon as they decide to retrieve themselves inside the tent for some rest.

Ventus face went blank with surprise as he was handed the Ranc Berry, along with his offer to to share all the honey his Combee with everyone Pokémon. Looking at his gift for a moment, a simple smile crossed his face. It wasn't particularly radiant, nor was it brilliant or spectacular in of itself. However, it perfectly convened two notions clearly: Graditutide and Thanks. With a nod of his head, he turned away from Nathan and swept his arm out, simultaneously throwing out and releasing of his remaining Pokémon, before facing his friend once more, his eye twinkling with just plain happiness.

"What generosity I give, the kindness I always show to others...I never ask for anything for it in return. Never do I expect others to praise me for my efforts, or help me in my times of need. Because of this, I would never ask of you for something in return for what I simply do; to me, its just a given to be good without expecting reward. It make it all the sweeter, then, that you, despite our often trouble relationship and the hardship we cause one another, you are willing to show me kindness and understanding as well. For all of that and more, I thank you. I promise, as I have done before, that you can always count on my support and guidance. Now, what say we began the festivities, Nate?" Ventus said, placing his empty hand on the young trainer's should and gving him a kind, grateful, before he felt something tug on his leg.

Tilting his head downward, he found it to be none other than Raphael, who, upon noticing that they have gotten their master's attension, started hopping up and down and chirping. Its been so long since they seen their father, and they wanted to spend some time with them now! Chuckling at his little angel's antics, Ven swooped them up and into his arms, tickling them on the belly and scratching their spike, earning him some adorable laughs from the chick. "Missed me, haven't you? Well, I'm right here now, and we can enjoy the rest of this day in celebration, thanks to our dear friend Nate. In fact, I have a gift for you, so I do hope you enjoy it!" he said, before revealing the Ranc Berry that Nathan had given to him! Reaching over, he dipped it in one of the jars of honey, before handing it to his little angel for their consumption.

Michael and Ariel, upon hearing the offer of delicious honey for their own delight, quickly spread the news to the rest of their brothers and sisters. All of them were excited (to varying degrees) about this occasion. This was going to be a party to remember!

Order: Have Ventus feed the Honey Covered Ranc Berry to Raphael, and spend the rest of the evening doting over him in return for leaving him out for those two days in Corsage. All my other Pokémon are to do with as you please, Iron! Let this be a fun night for all!

Kirlia sits by Nathan, playing the part of graceful host, happy that his trainer is happy. Since evolving between a Feelings and Emotions Pokemon, Kirlia's powers have been turned much more inward, more selective, much more focuses on Nathan.

Princess is very proud, and takes personal credit for this whole event. The bees gain 1 Happiness and onw Loyalty.  

Grid selfishly scarfs down the honey and gains 1 Loyalty. Is this even better than volts? Maybe! Grid's greed dashes Shiva's hopes of leftovers.

Swiftfire has had sweet treats before but is happy.  Staryu is inscrutable. Swiftfire is becalmed enough to let the happy electric rodents take a brief ride on her back.

Nathan gains 1 xp.

Nathan's...somewhat embarrassed when Shiva takes his hand in thanks. And when Ventus offers such a genuine thank you as well.

"Really, it's the...least I could do. You've helped me so much so far...I need to repay that somehow, right? I also kinda wanted to make a happy memory with you guys, rather than the usual...unpleasant ones. Have to start somewhere, right? Let's just try not to soil it later down the line...I've had just about enough of that, to be honest...but that's not what we're here to talk about. Let's just enjoy this moment while it lasts, shall we?"

He looks really sheepish. Ralts had been his first true friend, essentially. This whole thing with friends...he wasn't unfamiliar with the concept, but actually experiencing it...it was something strange. And a little exciting. Kirlia's smiling. That hadn't been so hard, now, had it?

Of Shiva's Pokemon Cottonee enjoys the honey most. She gets soaked in it and ends up having to shed her skin, which Grid eats. 

Fennekin and Swiftfire play some tag. 

Also, the egg gives its first lurch!

Shiva, you can choose one of your pokes to gain a Happiness and one to gain a Loyalty.

Apsis has found a new favorite food, trumping even Poliwags! Honey is not quite as filling, though. ...

Michael ruins a barrel by immersing himself in the honey and frowning at anyone who tries to get him out. Ariel frowns back and he realizes he owes her a favor. He moves aside.

Noibat jealously hoards whatever golden honey he can get his hands on. He has to periodically wipe it off his shades. 

Togepi is very happy his human friends are finally getting along.  When Ventus pops the sweetened tart Ranc Berry in his mouth, his face lights up. Literally, followed by the rest of his body. When the glow fades, Ventus' little angel finally takes to the sky! 
The sociologist has discovered a new way to maximize Ranc Berries.

Ventura just nodded his head, and patted Nathan on the shoulder before he let go of his shoulder. He can detect the surge of emotions that are coursing through the young trainer right now, but since they are positive  and benging for the mos part, he decided to not comment on them. "No, you do not have to repay me for my actions", Nate. Your friendship is more than enough payment for all that I've done for you, so don't believe you are entitled to owe me anything. THe effort is certainly Appreciated by both me and my PokeMon , so I say we are grateful none of the less. Isn't that right, Raphael?" He said, tilting his head down to look lovingly at his chick.

The little Togepi could not have agreed more, letting out a elated chirp as they basked in the positivity of the party! Suddenly, though, they started to glow a blazing white light! "Raphael?! Raphael...oh my!" Ventus said, quickly realizing that his angel was evolving! They started to get bigger and bigger in his arms, forcing the startled researcher to put his Togepi on the ground to finish its evolution. With an *CRACK!*, its wings bursted through the shell, fully grown, and the rest of its egg shell soon fell off. When the blinding light faded away, in it place was a Togetic, ready to take to the open skies!

*Insert Flight scene here*

Ventus could only watched with amazement as his angel (Not so little anymore!) fly around in the wild blue yonder, completely enraptured by the sight. Raphael soon touched in front of their master, letting out a delighted chirp and dancing in place. It did it! They evolved, thanks to their master! Surely they must be proud of them! Indeed he was, for he quickly snatch them off the ground and gave them a great big Bewear hug! "Raphael, my beautiful angel...this is one of the happiest moments of my life. Thank you Reshirim for this great blessing today! Thank you!" he said, cuddling his face bird and celebrating this momentous occasion. Yesterday may have been a black night, but today was most gloriously a bright one!!!

Order: Continue into Corsage after this scene, after Ven gets to enjoy this lovely event! @Iron, you know exactly what I want to do in the port town, so just auto me through the Trading board, Larry trade, and Slowpoke pickup. God hope that my regular computer can be fixed soon...one of theses days.

After Shiva reacts to the honey party, we can move on to day 17.

Day 17

The next day, you make your way back to Corsage Port uneventfully.

It's now Day 17.

The effects of the strange unrest are becoming more pronounced (sleeplessness is not quite the right word - they sleep, but they gain so little from it). People here and there are becoming worried. It seems like only so many people are affected each night, but over this much time, quite a large percentage of the natives have had at least one "visit". Others dismiss this as superstition or rabble-rousing.

A great big ship, with five levels and eleven sails, and a big Poliwag banner, has just arrived at the wharf. Lots and lots of sailors have disembarked to take some leave, or at least a break. They crowd the bars especially, and the Dojo is quite busy too.

"Even though I don't have to, I WANT to. Taking that kindness without giving it in return isn't healthy...huh? What's that light?"

Nathan can only smile when he notices Raphael glowing with that same evolutionary light that Ralts almost a week ago, his previous train of thought having departed entirely. The scene was almost a perfect replica of what he'd felt in the moment Ralts had evolved...the surprise at the evolution, the happiness that soon followed from both trainer and pokemon (which was also the cause of the evolution), and the pokemon enjoying its newfound power and form...

True happiness was a rare thing for him these days.

But this moment described it perfectly.

The appreciative friends (even if they were at odds as often as they were best buds), the pokemon all enjoying themselves, the pure bliss of not having to worry about anything...yup, not even Absol was on his mind right now. He had enough time to worry about that tomorrow. If it wasn't going to show itself today, why worry about it now?
