Wow, I did not expect to see Shiva become so...prickly towards Nathan. Given that Ventus battle with her was FAR more unrestrained and brutal until the very, very end, I don't see why she so angry at you specifically, instead of spreading that coldness out to both are charms.

Neither did I...he didn't even KO Fennekin (I double checked.  Porygon was holding back, so there was no KO, even though Staryu did 2 damage and Porygon did 3 damage before holding back).  Sure, he didn't purposely handicap himself before Fennekin went down, and the fox didn't get to do much in the battle (getting off only a Howl that was neutralized and one Ember that was practically nullified by Cover), but it was only because he respected the danger it posed...just like with Plusle and Minun.

And then he purposely let her catch up afterwards, too, since he didn't want to completely steamroll her like Ventus had.  And then he hinted she still had a chance, even though he was done with holding back.

Makes me wonder what the thought process behind it all is...

I honestly don't have much of a clue either. I would say her bond with her Pokémon and fondness towards Fenniken makes her act especially wicked to those that harm them, but since she did not show such an attitude with Ventus' beat down or wild Pokémon attacks....*Shrugs*

Haha, am I unwillingly keeping you people guessing over my chara's reactions and reasons? Looks like both me and Shiva got fired up by this battle! Gym Leader Battles will be fun with her, and fun to watch.

Well, Ventus has run out of option in how to track do that Pokémon/thing, so he just going to turn in for the day. This has been a most unproductive evening for our erratic researcher, but such is the way of life, I suppose.

Maybe now he has time to relax a little and think about things, while writing in his journal.

Besides, how does one have a blanket and a pillow in a satchel? The thought of Ven pulling those items out like nothing is awesome, the shoulder bag I own would never even be able to carry a pillow. Or is hecarrying those in Pokeballs?

His camping equipment, cloaths, and bedding are carried in Ookeballs. I just figured that avengers knows he to deftly press those buttons and quickly get the pillow/blanket out before they rip the bag up. Either that, or zi just omitted the scene where he just take out the Bedding ball and summoned his sleeping supplies. Whichever explanstion works for you!

Sounds like we'll have to bring a psychic type or two along to track the creature down, based on how its traveling. Or think of a way to draw it out...hmmm...

Ventus will be keeping his 'hunt' secret from the other characters, though. His aim is to find and kill the dream demon, and he's aware of how...squimish his friend are to the thought of him killing a Pokémon, so he going to be hush hush about any details he finds out about it. If he can't find it without help, then he just won't find it, and will continue training his team to fight the Gym Leader. No point is worrying his friends about a problem they can notice solve, right?
