Well, he needed to head off to the Center as well. Arbok and Kingdra were in no shape for further battles currently, and he needed them in top form before moving on. He hadn't been going all out there, but whew, that had been an interesting battle. He hadn't participated in a casual battle that good in years. The lower ranked grunts were all wimps by comparison to that. That girl showed a lot of promise, that's for sure. She'd go far in life with that kind of dedication and skill, in both art and battle. He hoped she had the proper support for it.
Weavile had been hanging out in the background, as usual. He raises an eyebrow at Reiner in puzzlement. What was so special about that girl, anyways? He could have easily swiped some stuff from her, made that battle a lot easier in a few different ways. Reiner narrows his eyes at the unsaid question. "What? Look, you and I both know what it's like being in that kind of situation. There's plenty of other fish in the sea. Let's make sure she gets to the Center okay and heal up ourselves, and then we can get to work."
Weavile just shrugs. Whatever. It's not like he cared much about it. It just confused him, that's all.
One trip to the Center and a goodbye to Emily later, and Reiner and Weavile are out and about again. Long hours are something they're very familiar with, and nighttime excursions often make for an easier time Pickpocketing. Reiner was interested in that persian (particularly since the species is a favorite of Giovanni's), but he figured he should get a few more supplies first before going after it. And for that, he'd need a little cash. Time to finally see what he could get from one of those vendors...

Weavile Auto Pickpocket: (2) + 1 for it being Night; Rarity: (13)
Weavile walk by an old lady carry a basket of herbs on her back, and manages to snag a Revival Herb, wrinkling his noise distastefully at the potent plant . Herbal items are special in this campaign, as while they have a chance to lower a Pokémon's happiness, their effects are instantaneous and don't count towards your Healing limit. Use too much, though, and you risk the resentment of your Pokémon!
You and Weavile approach the Lantern and Light's Stand, where a Middle aged male with a Miner's Cap on and wearing electrician clothes was sealing lights of all kinds, from Flash light, electric and gas Lanterns and Matches, to more fanciful items like glow sticks and flashing ball lights. Standing by him was a Starmie, flashing its own red light intermiditadly to attract customers to the stand (Or in this case, you). Smiling, the man waves you over to look at his wears, and happily says : "Welcome, good sir. As you can see here, I'm selling lights for the upcoming festival, and I have just about anything you need. What would you be interested, sir?"

"Well, why don't you show me a few of the things you've got? I'm just browsing around right now, after all, but maybe I could be persuaded to purchase something."
Hmmm...a Starmie. Interesting. Not overly rare, but not common either. Reiner was mostly just interested in the cash flow currently. Behind his back, Reiner subtly motions to Weavile. His other hand is in his pocket, on Arbok's pokeball, ready to bring the snake out at a moment's notice if trouble arises. He'd keep the vendor distracted while Weavile did his thing to start with.

Weavile's Pickpocket Check: 7D6 + 1 for Night - 1 for Starmie Illuminating the area/keeping watch = 7D6 Dice
(2)(2)(6)(6)(3)(6)(4) 4 Success
Saleman's Alertness Check: Insight (2) + Knowledge (2) + Alert (2) = 6D7 Dice
(4)(2)(1)(5)(1)(6) 2 Success
Like a shadow in the night, you partner is crime manages to sneak into the both and steal $1000 Poke before he has to scurry off when the Starmie turn behind it when it heard the slight jingle of coins. Weavile subtly returns to your shadow, depositing the money into your pocket like it was nothing. Job successful!
The Saleman's man nor his Pokémon ultimately don't notice a thing, as you keep them distracted enough with small taking and browsing over the merchandise. Two thing catches your eye: A Narrow Beam Lamp and a Strobe Light Ball.
The Narrow Beam Lamp lights up a small cone of vision in front of the user, and only someone directly in front or behind the user can see the light. Perfect for night time burglary or just to see better in dark areas! Cost: $600 Uses: Unlimited
The Strobe Light Ball lets out very bright beams of white light in a random and disorganized pattern. Intended for rave party usage, it can be used as a distraction, to blind someone/something suddenly, or to light up a wide open area. Attracts a lot of attention, obviously. Cost: $200 Uses: 3, if retrieved after each use

Heh. Lights. Funny things when it comes to theft. They can be both your worst enemy and best friend. They eliminate the shadows you can hide in to avoid gathering attention, but they can be useful for blinding pursuers or taking targets by surprise. Reiner had to take some time to think about whether he wanted to make a purchase...if he was going to be searching for a Persian in those dark alleyways, that lamp could be useful...he needed pokeballs too, though. Just in case. Hacked Pokeballs weren't something he should be wasting on wild pokemon if he didn't have to...
"I'll take that Narrow Beam Lamp, sir." Reiner pulls out $600 and hands it to the vendor. All in all, not too bad a job. Today was only the warm up day, after all. Lamp in hand, Reiner and Weavile make their way over to the department store next to purchase 2 Great Balls for another $1200 as well.
It was time to look for that strange Persian.

Sunday: Late Night
Weavile's Auto Pickpocket: (4) Rarity: (5)
He manages to snag a Full Heal from a passing Cool Trainer in the streets, before they had to beat a hasty retreat with they start to wildly look around for what bumped into them...
You and Weavile dive back into the dark allys and back streets of Celadon, searching the area that Emily specified. At first you didn't see anything out of the ordinary, beside the occasion piece of trash or work of graffiti, but as you pan your new lamp around the dank area, you catch a flash of something: the Persain! It was watching both of you from its shadowy perch of a low hanging roof, comfortably watching as you invaded its territory, waiting for an opportune moment to strike....
However, when you flashed your lamplight on it, it knew its game was up, and leap down from on high and began running away, trying to lose you! With Weavile's tracking skills and cunning, though, both him and Reiner were able to follow right on its heels, until they all reached its den. It had several hundreds of scattered Poke around its nest, and you could spot at least one or two rare items lying around! Finally corning the sly feline, you shine your lamp on it, getting a good look at it!
The dim light bounced off its abnormally light coat, refracting into a dazzling array of sparkles. A Shiny Persain! One that, judging by the raised hackles on its back, look ready to ferociously lunge out at you!!!
Initiatives:
Shiny Persain: DEX (3) + Survival (5) + Roll (6) = 14
Weavile: Persain's going first period, regardless what you roll, but you have a INI of 5 for the record.
Wild Shiny Persain Round 1

Taunt

Effect: Target cannot use non-attacking moves for 4 rounds.
Revenge
Accuracy: 2 Dex + 4 Fight + 1 Brawl - 3 Actions = 4 D6
Damage: 2 Power + 3 Strength + 2 if damaged + 1 SE = 7 D6 (5 if not damaged) + 1 Damage

(1)(1)(1) It was just a startle tactic, but it still caused Weavile to flitch, skipping his Taunt action!
Nasty Plot
Accuracy: DEX + Fight + Channel (1) - 4 Actions = 4D6
(3)(5)(6)(3)
Shiny Persain's STR Raised by 2
Weavile, angry for being taken surprise like that, swings at the feline with a brutal blow, but Persain attempts to sidestep it!
Revenge
(2)(1)(4)(6) 2 Success
Persain's Evasion
Accuracy: DEX + Fight + Evasion (2) - 5 Actions = 3D6 Dice
(4)(3)(4) 2 Success
Just by the sparkly hairs on its coat, the Persain managed to completely avoid Weavile's furious attack!
Seeing that this kitty cat was far more trouble than he first though, Reiner summons Arbok, which balefully glares at them, while flaring their hood. *Hiiiiiiisssss*
Arbok's Initiative: (2) + 2 = Arbok goes last in the order
Current Status:
All Pokémon on the field are unharmed, but Persain has +2 Attack now.

Edit Reason: Made a goof.
)
Wild Shiny Persain Round 2!
This Persain has fought Ekans before, and know from experience when one of its line is about to spray venom on her!
Acid Spray
(1)(5)(3)(2)(5)
Persain's Evasion: 7D6 - 3 action = 4D6
(1)(4)(6)(6)
With a grace that comes from age and wisdom, Persain dashes under the arc of the Acid Spray, before leaping back to its former distance away.
Embargo
(3)(5)(4)(6)(5) Wow there
Weavile dart from behind and tries to grab any useful items for himself, but ends up finding absolutely nothing of that nature. It retreat quickly back to cover before the Persain could swipe at it.
Eyes only on the giant snake, the Persain suddenly spring into the air to rake its claws across his face!
Slash
Accuracy: 9D6 - 4 actions - Targeting head (8)= 1D6 Dice
(5) She hits her mark: the eyes. Extra Lethal Hit.
Damage: STR (*4) + 3 + STAB + Bonus Damage (2)- Vitality= 7D6 Lethal Damage
(2)(5)(5)(6)(4)(2)(1) Arbok takes 4 Lethal Damage; 10/14 HP , slowly bleeding out, Temporarily Blinded.
Arbok let's out a agonized screech, its head thrashing around as blood and the damage to its face has left it blind! It can still smell its prey just fine, though, and it is enraged.
Weavile attempts to take an eye for an eye and smash that feline into the ground for its impudence! Recognizing a patter emerging, the Persain attempts to evade once more!
Revenge
(4)(3)(6)(4)
Evade
(4)(3)(2) Not this time, bucko!
(5)(2)(4)(4)(5)+1 Persain takes 5 Damage, 1/6 HP remaining
Letting out a pained yowl itself, the Persain backs from both its foes, before licking the blood off its claws contemptousily. Even in the throws of agony, this feline is too proud to give up or retreat!
Coil
(6)(4)(4)
Arbok's Attack, Defense, and Accuracy Raised by 1
Temporarily Blinded: Target can't see at all, reducing all accuracy rolls against opponents by 2 Dice. Varies on how long its lasts.
Current Status:
Persain: 1/6 HP
Arbok: 10/14 HP, 4 Lethal Damage, Temporarily Blinded
Weavile: Still Fresh
