I wouldn't really advise that abandonment of morals just for a legendary....

 Really? I would.
There's a small difference between legendary and mythical though. Dialga's worth it, Raikou's not.
If you ever have an actual chance of taming a Legend, its because you earned that right for whatever epic reason, not because you choose it in an encounter slot. While the vast majority of Legendary are either amoral or follow Blue and Orange Morality compared to the average human/Pokémon, they are still smart enough to know about shady/disreputable behavior, and might not appreciate it what so ever....

That being said, Legendaries are by and large Plot Devices in PokeRole, and unless they are heavily nerfed/reworked (Like in my campaign), no one in the party is going to get one, not even Ventus and his connection with Genesect. I fully expect that I'll end up either never finding them, or just free them and let them go on their merry way. Besides, if you literally had a borderline god on your party, you would attract the attention of every government on the planet, and would be harashed/recruited/hunted down by them, depending on their priorities....

That being said, I'd still make any sacrifices I could to obtain a legendary. What an honor or triumph!

Think you've got the official terms a little mixed up there.  Legendaries are the pokemon everyone knows about from the stories, and some have even seen the pokemon themselves on occassion (Mewtwo, the winged mirages, Dialga, Raikou, etc.)

Mythicals are the pokemon almost nobody has seen, and their existence is questionable at best (Mew, Celebi, Genesect, etc)

On top of that, ANY of them appearing is usually a HUGE plot device.  And if they don't want to travel with you, they'll probably just crush ya.  HARD.  (Their stats are completely up to GM discretion, and all their attributes cap at 10). As an example, that Genesect we learned about earlier.  If Silverfish were indeed in Creshire, the only trainer it would be likely to accept would be Ventus.

Oh, speaking about Legendaries and mythical Pokemon crushing people, I believe Shiva would get along very well with Shaymin. Not catch it, just spend some time with it and get to know the flowerly hedge. ^^*coughElanorcough*

yes, I know. But I don't want my words to come back and haunt me when the great god Iron decides that it would be fun to give one of the players a Mew. Or a Hoopa, or an (btw) immoral Giratina. I'm not saying it will happen. But Valder would rather get to know Dialga the guardian of time, rather than giving the poor Axew next to it a home.

Problem is, Iron said that Genesect has changed significantly since they last spent a prolonged amount of time with my chara, and after being captured and who know what else by the Scimitar/Alamaniac? , they might not trust even Ventus. If that Genesect is even the same one my character meet; Iron said they couldn't build a new one, but they could also brainwash or tamper with it memories...

I got the terms right. But I didn't know Dialga had been seen. by anyone else than Ash I mean, but he has seen next to everyone.

As I said to Windos, I don't expect them to show up. I don't expect them to want to travel with Valder. I do expext Valder to not throw away an opportunity such as that.

Given how damn common they were in that one movie (Their were dozens upon dozens of the guys/girls!), and the fact that they are one of the more weak legendaries (Compared to god like beings like Groundon or Palkia), it might not be that much of a stretch to encounter one of them, especially since Cheshire has been know to host a whole host of Legendary Pokémon throughout its history. Whether or not you'll catch one, though...

Pretty sure I just explained the difference between the terms, but let me put it another way: officially, Mythicals are the (typically) event only pokemon.  Legendaries are everything else.

And oh yeah, Dialga's been seen.  It's not a mere myth like the thousand armed creator.  It's only one of Sinnoh's most important legends.  Nathan is a bit of a history buff, so I've got all kinds of info prepped should it become relevant.  This campaign assumes the majority of the games' stories fit into a 10 year time period. Anime isn't really taken into accountt at all.

Aww. Just meeting one of these adorable grassy hedge and spend some calm qualitative time with it would be enough for Shiva... Whether it'll join her or not *shrugs* Well, that's Shaymin's own decision.
