Dragonstrike, please share your thoughts, I'm not really sure on this issue at all. Maybe we should ask on the forums?

Seeing that me and Ven now soft-lag behind wto Encounters, I think I'll forfeit conversation about the raising of Psychic Types + how Sans handled his Abra and jump to Training-Tutoring Sessions right away. HOWEVER, I am not giving up on it, since it's rather important in-character, since Shiva collected quite a few Psychic Types and wishes to offer them the best care that she can bring up. Ven already lectured about Fairy Type, so why not ask about Psychic...? (Besides, Azurill will be very interested to hear what he has to tell about Water Type, I feel~) I might - will likely -initiate it when Nathan is busy with Absol-related things or similar since this is his very own thing, while that Psychic-thing is a thing solely between Ven and her. This way, everyone can deal his own thing (Nylon's somewhat independent from the group, but he can surely land always hang around if he wants!) = none will be blocked out of the Game. There, everyone's (hopefully) happy. Sounds alright to you as well, @Lord Windos?
That's....well, I'm perfectly alright with that, my love, but I still have the time to do that psychic encounter if you want. Iron did push things forward a bit just to accommodate the both of us, after all!
Still, can't go anywhere until Shiva asks him for a training session, so he's stuck getting to know Abaddon for now!
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

She'll likely understand what is going on if Kirlia nudges her in this direction, but she'll still be relucant to approach him on her own. For the reasons I gave earlier, which were 1. her naturally respectful atttude, she knowd talking about the issue will make Nathan feel uncomfortable and 2. she ist simply busy with her own issues and things. I'm sorry, but it looks like this time Nathan has to work out things on his own.
If you don't mind me saying, there's just a bit of irony in that course of action, I feel. Sure, Shiva can be respectful and whatnot, and yes, she's busy with her own problems as well. Nathan has much the same mindset in those regards. But as the old saying goes, 'treat others how you want to be treated.' Nathan has a lot of concern for those he views as friends, which is one reason why he (carefully) checked on Shiva despite his initial reluctance to do so. He'd really, really appreciate it if Shiva were to do the same, even if he's not fully aware of it himself. And he did tell her he was up for talking about anything. Multiple times, even.
And if Kirlia starts subtly nudging Shiva in that direction, he's probably going to keep doing so until Nathan's either gotten over the issue or Shiva gives in and just goes to talk to him. Or Shiva scares him off or completely rejects the idea or something.

Asking on the forums is probably the way to go (I have a feeling they'll try to keep things simple, though, instead of trying to match what the games do). Can ask whether paralysis's Dex drop stacks as well.
Though, just for reference, here's what I have noted down for Psywave (and Seismic Toss, Night Shade, and other fixed damage moves) currently:
- Can't benefit from nor be hindered by any damage modifiers except their own effects (No STAB, no Crit, attribute reductions and increases don't affect them, target's type doesn't matter [unless the target is immune to the move's type], etc)
- Ignore's the foe's defenses (not an issue in Counter and Mirror Coats' case since they just straight up roll a damage pool equal to the last one they took)

Kirlia's personality is to focus mostly on Nathan when a problem of this nature arises, and has already given all the hints about Shiva's potential that he's likely to at the moment. Unless I think of more later, of course.

Oh... Windos, do as you please, but you know that I don't want any rp-conversation between us rushed or forced. Or both. I decided againts being stubborn because I though you wanted to head to the third Encounters (Honey Tree for you, Cherubi for me) as soon as possible...
However, I'm stubborn in the issue that Shiva will not approach Nathan over the issue on her own. For the same reasons given and because I can't find a niche where to slide that in in my plans for this in-game day.

Alright, Encounters No. 2 of the Day are typed up, now it is @ Iron's call to wrap them up. Directly moving on to Encounters No. 3, @ Lord Windos? You are free to leave to that Honey Tree if Ventus desires and feels confident to leave Shiva there - you can always talk to her before actual going! - because she'll stay a little where they curently are and eventually stumble into a Wish-list Cherubi.
Oh, whoops, now Ventus knows of a not-so-enjoyable detail from her past.

He knows, but its not his place to dig into it, unless given permission by you. Just as you won't comment on his sexual preferences (He has none), he won't bring up Nidoking, my love. Once Iron posts the Training Session results, I'm going to get started on using that Honey tree!

Pokerole Forums:
"Mirror Coat is a great Move. After the foe rolled damage against you (he must have hit you, obviously), you may roll that same amount of damage against him and add 2 damage dice. This damage is not reduced by the foe's Defense (technically the damage pool was already reduced once by your own Defense).
I believe Psywave it's self explainatory, the bigger the level, the higher the damage pool. And it also ignores Defense.
Since all of these Moves are Physical/Special attacks, they can Crit.
Support Moves can't Crit.
Now, regarding Type Immunities. The book states that a Pokémon with an Immunity will never receive damage from an attack of that Type, but it MAY still be affected by a Support Move. As with everything, it's up to the storyteller to determine if it makes sense for a Support Move to affect an Immune Pokémon"
Sounds like no STAB but yes Immunity.

Lolz, what do you mean by that...?! I won't have Shiva ask him about his orientation, by far not yet - if ever - for heaven's sake, if you mean that! Oh my... this is hilariously cute.
