Ventus finds Heatmor in hot (hehe) pursuit of a line of common Bug types, mostly Caterpie and a few faster bugs like Spinarak or Ledyba. The long-snouted Pokemon even pops its nose or tongue down into their burrows or smokes them out. He has a bit of honey on his claws from smoking out a small Combee nest (presumably one without a Vespiquen present!)

There is a clear trail in his wake, smoldering with embers.

Racing to the source, Ventus was relieved to see that their was not a forest fire like he first thought, but rather a Heatmor hunting its natural quarry of the various Bugs that inhabited the forest. Still, not one to let a good opportunity for training pass him or his Pokémon by, he flicked out his wrist and summoned Abaddon, who quickly inflated themselves to their full height upon seeing the fiery ant eater. "Abaddon, time for your second battle, and to see how you far against a more tenacious opponent. Try to use Safeguard stealthly before engaging the Heatmor, then get ready to use Counter against it. If they become aware of you before setting up, use Safeguard anyway and dodge its first attack. Do your best, my child," the researcher whispered to them, before they point at the flaming insectivore.

Order: Since it appears that Heatmor is currently distracted hunting insects, I want to try and stealthy use Safeguard as an Ambush free action, before having Abaddon wait for Heatmor to it with an attack and using Counter. If Ambush fails, Safeguard will be used anyway, and the blue demon will then try evading their attack. Fire burns all, but can Abaddon truely destroy it?

Oh... Okay, good, it wasn't rude at all to approach someone like that. However, that battle urge was real...too real. Hell, where was that coming from all of a sudden, was it still that delighted mood from following Braixen heading off-track?

Practically EVERYTHING on that person was screaming 'music'. Mixed up with a not small amount of combative spirit. And some hints of mystic that fascinated Shiva to bits, so she couldn't stop staring at that person she met here. Silently thanking Arceus that something led her to this...

Before this staring got awkward though, words were exchanged concerning Kricketune's. "Oh... Well, if I'm not mistaken, there is a good chance finding one in this area, it's full of Bug Types. And birds, currently." She was also highly interested listening to what that ...Skald had to tell about her instruments. Oh my, the Fortune Hunter Lady would rejoice if she heard about that. Shiva wa alos so on alert, that she missed the mentioning of a 'Cocoran' (you indeed mean the Tandorian Pokemon here, Iron?), a Pokemon that she wouldn't know.

At the mentioning of jaming with her, Braixen let out a melodious Howl, quite encouraged about the idea. Shiva glanced at her fox, then back at Elysia with a fascinated expression. "Guess that settles it... Sure I would.. Or, Braixen and any of my other Pokemon would gladly... Greater high in battle sounds awesome as well, I believe I already tasted that by using Lucky Chant... If, you, that is, explain to me first what a 'Skald' is at all?"

Mechanics:
If that jaming is a battle, alright then~ Didn't expected it would come to an actual battle, but I hold nothing against that, actually. After that, the mentioning of the need for someone knowing things about repairing musical instruments.

Ventus facepalms as the blue Demon failed Safeguard of all moves, and just shakes his head in slight dismay. "I know your psychic power are not your species' forte, but by Reshirim that was....something. Abaddon, try Safeguard once more, then let Heatmor hit you with Fury Swipes or another Physical Move and retaliate with Counter. If it uses a Special move, dodge it instead and get ready for further orders. Please don't fail again, my child..."

Order: Safeguard AGAIN (Get those dice blessed!) , then use Counter if it continues to use Fury Swipes or another Phys. Move. Abaddon will dodge if they decide to use a Special Move instead, and await further orders. Bloody hell, that was awful...
