It never hurts to be too paranoid if you end up right in the end! Ventus would prefer killing any mages he runs across, honestly, but he knows that besides maybe Valder (Apathetic Nathan doesn't count) that murder the shit out of them would be veeeerrrry bad for him. Its not like killing Houndour in a dream world, where no one knows what quite happened there, you know...

Careful with counting Nathan out like that.  No telling how he might react later to stuff like that when he's not apathetic.

Hours. Yeah, fire would help too. I would say those are probably two of the most destructive types. Dragonfire trumps all.

Oh, and Ven is not going to kill anyone unless they first try to kill them first. In which case the gloves comes off, and the researcher stops being merciful. Such is the way with things...

Shiva still has the knife that actually belongs to you. If they show no fear of killing...

I counted him out because I know that normally he would STRONGLY disapprove of murder, and Ven doesn't want to do anything that might destabilize the boy even MORE than he already has invariably done. Killing someone in front of their eyes would certainly ruin any chance of speedy recovery...

It's still very dark, so I need to know how you'll be moving on. Groping blindly, retracing your steps, etc.

That's actually a good question... There might be traps along the way that we better not accidently activate, my small light lets us only see one another if we stay close and Swiftfire would arise too much attention.

Heading forward in the dark anyway maybe, but more carefully with our Pokemon alerting us if needed?

Starmie might cast enough light to see at least the floor of the place, but its yet another attention grabbing light source. Graah....there are definitely traps in here and we need all the visablity to spot them, but doing that would put the sentries and patrols on alert. Morton's Fork at its finest is at work here...bah!

Lucifer can see in the dark, though, so perhaps we can use him as trap detection/detector....hmm. Would that be possible , @Iron?

Lucifer can see in the dark and he'll let you know if he sees a threat he understands. Raphael can't, and "extending your bond" will basically benefit you only by letting you warn Raphael of any Insight checks you succeed on (like to hear a threat). And vice versa. Still better than being separated.

Pokemon who can see in quite low light:
-Espurr
-Abra
-Plusle/Minun
-Wobbuffet
-Houndour
-Joltik

Pokemon who can see in true dark:
-Theo
-Arbok (infrared vision only)
-Gastly

Other Pokemon have other senses, too, like the psychics have a good chance of detecting another mind, the mammals/reptiles have scent, etc.

But none of them understand human things like machines and items. Some of them probably understand doors at this point though.

Hmm...so if I return Lucifer and send out Apsis, she would be able to detect heat signitures of Scimitars, but would be less than useful in detecting traps. Sounds like we either Starmie's Illuminate/Swiftfire to light up the place, have Theo or Ghastly to see ahead for us (*Hint Hint* @Nylon!)

Well, at least I can edit my post to have Lucifer scout ahead for dangers while Ghastly/Theo are hanging back with Valder.

K, if I'm supposed to lead the way according to Ven because I have a small light source thanks to the stove and Kyuu in my arms - who can see in quite low light plus detect other minds due to hy Psychic Type according to you, Iron - would he be able to detect anything suspicious like traps and other people together with Lucifer before accidently activating/alarming them, and instead alert me about them so that I can warn the others?

And Gastly way ahead of us, ordered to warn us in time he spots anything. Quite handy!

@PhantomUnderYourDesk : You want Shiva to check out the room first, since she's leading the way, or do you want Ventus to go in with Lucifer to do a Frisk Search of the place? Your call, since you found the place first.
