Theo and Kirlia stand ready to attack if the man shows signs of fight, but he looks to be asleep for now.

Once the man was safely asleep, Ventus rushed over to them and attempted to find and confiscate all his Pokémon, before searching for anything like keys, important looking items, etc. 'First priority is disarm and neutralize all threat posed by the target, then acquire any relevate supplies on his person, before interrogation and further methods of 'coercion' can be conducted. Afterwards, we can knock him and restrain him, among other things we could do to them...' the serious researcher thought, before focusing on conducting his search! The empath as motions for Raphael to use Yawn again if they start to wake up mid-search. Better safe than sorry!

Order: Ventus is going to take all the Scimitar's Pokémon of their person (Giving them to Valder after wipping them off his finger prints), then try finding any items that could help them explore and uncover this place and disarming them of weapons. Raphael will be nearby and ready to use Yawn again on the Scimitar again if they start waking up during the act. Need to see the out come of this action before I can make a more detailed post/plan...

Nathan watches Ventus in silence.  Aside from the order he gives Kirlia.  "Keep those Confusions prepped, Kirlia, just in case he wakes up."

Now that the danger has passed (for now), he also responds to Shiva.  No emotion in his voice, just logic.  "I'd recommend you not try to hold a conversation right in front of a potential enemy.  And I'm aware of the League policy on using moves on people.  Those don't apply right now, though, so it's a moot point."

Well done, it worked. She took Nathan's words, but did not respond on them.

Stepping closer to the obvious (now sleeping) enemy, Shiva gently nudged Ven's shoulder, hoping to catch his attention. "Ven, you also have Lucifer, he could Frisk for anything we don't see but might want to have among their Pokemon. Take whatever just looks important, keys, cards, maps, stones, anything. We have enough storage to carry it and we might not get such a chance again."

Ventus gives her a thoughtful look, before giving her a slight shake of his head. "Lucifer can easily Frisk this Scimitar's Pokémon, but that would require releasing them from the confines of their Pokeballs, which would quickly become problematic for us, as they are likely trained to attack intruders on sight, or will do so regardless if they see their master incapacitated. However, my drake's item detection abilities can be put to good us on this Scimitar, however, as I want to minimize the chance of an hidden item eluding my search attempt. Thank you great idea, Shiva," he very quietly said, barely loud enough to be heard by her so as not to potentially wake the vile mage.

With a flick of his wrist, Lucifer ball hits the floor and is summoned in a flash of light (which Raphael did their best to block it from reaching the sleeping wizard's eyes), who looked around his surrounding and immediantly felt at home. He didn't expect his master to bring him out in a nice dark cave, ripe for exploration and spelunking of all times, especially since they were still mad at them from protecting them from the Fairy Lady's wrath! The researcher clicked his tounge, catching his devil bat's attention , before they pointed to the man he was going to search for his items/Pokémon, and made a searching gesture, indicating they want his helping in Frisking and retrieving this person's items!

Order: Have Lucifer assist Ventus in finding his Scimitar's Key Items and Pokémon, wiping off all his prints/DNA evidence on them, before he pockets the Key Items and hands the Pokeballs over to Valder in such way as not to get his prints/DNA on them. Hey, 4 Hands are better than two for searching!

"Oh, that's what I meant. Only frisking the Scimitar, not their Pokemon ! Agree with you, don't EVER call them out.", Shiva whispered to as a respone in the lowest tone possible, while stepping closer to the tiny stove-thingie and began to uncommonly eager investigate it. She wasn't familiar with such vintage objects at all, but she was very interested in the light within. It was not too bright to arise suspicion, yet bright enough to enable a little vision of the surroundings - perfect!

Unless the light shimmered blue or purple, it cannot come from a Litwick hidden inside the stove, she guessed it must be pieces of wood or similar in this case. She carefully brought one hand closer to these to feel how war/hot they burn.

--------------
Mechanics:
I want to snatch one of the wood pieces/disks/whatever gives out the light to take it with me as a small and non-alarming light source for the group. Several options:

- If these wood pieces etc. are only handwarm and can be carried without risking burns, take one right away.

- If these wood pieces etc. are too hot too touch and carry with bare hands, I'll ask Ventus to get me both the Scimitars' gauntlets to put on myself and then take the wood pieces. They're probably way too big and a little bit to dirty for Shiva, but the desire for a portable light source wins.
If the gauntlets cannot be taken off without even the slightest risk of waking the Scimitar wearing them up, leave them alone right away.
In that case:

- I'll call out Kyuu, shielding the light from the sleeping Scimitar of course, before picking up my grey cat to carry with one arm to prevent loosing track of him in the dark. Then order him Confusion to get me something of the burning wood pieces. His psychic powers should be strong enough to keep them hovering to carry them with us without Shiva (or anyone) having to touch them.

Let's see...

The Scimitar has two Pokeballs on his belt. They're unusually small Pokeballs, heavily shaded so it's difficult to see what Pokemon are inside when it's dark. Careful examination reveals a useless Magikarp and a slightly rarer Qwilfish. Perhaps this indicates that the man is not a very high ranking Scimitar, or that he was experimenting on Water Pokemon.
The belt the balls are on is a dark black metallic sash with clips for Pokeballs.

He has one key, a simple metal key you could buy at any hardware store.

He has the two gauntlets. Yes, the finger Nathan found early in the campaign looks like it could be part of one of these. It looks like they come apart down the middle and fasten again over your hands. They are finely reticulated, with many joints and hinges and wires. His hand itself looks like normal flesh.

His pockets are full of canned food.

He has no form of rank insignia or badge or anything like that, not even a wallet or Trainer ID card (a minor legal offense, since he is carrying Pokemon). He does have $400, two Potions, and an Antidote. Most intriguingly, he has a full sized golden Nugget! Worth $5000. This is, of course, found by Lucifer before you even get close. It was inside a briefcase containing just one sheet of paper: "Notes on Pokemon-release trap system," with a graphic showing how to build a very expensive trap that sends a plethora of Pokemon at intruders. (Think the Mahogany Town base in Gold/Silver).

Valder finds some rope and ties the Scimitar up with his high Survival.

The little stove appears to be something like this:

The disks are not wood, but some kind of engineered fuel. It's too hot to pick up, and in Pokerole I don't think Confusion is intended to function like Telekinesis. Kyuu instead offers you your scarf back as a means to hold the stove - he HATES the smell of those gauntlets, and actually breaks character to hiss and scowl at them!!

The tiny light doesn't even light an entire room, just a 3' radius.

Before ANYTHING could happen or Kyuu gets the chance to hiss again, Shiva pets encouraging and calming over his right cheek, showing that there's both no need to be mad and to show that she's there to protect the psychic kitten in her arms with her full force. Let's hope this didn't disturbed the Scimitar's sleep... Thankfully accepting the scarf, she looses wraps it around the stove, before pocketing the remaining emergency disks as fuel, then picking the stove itself up and examinating it.

True story, she never ever saw such a thing - why, if living in a big city? - but right now, she was overly thankfully that such a thing existed. And that she has it now to take with her for the group. The little light it gave of was actually perfect, at least they can now see one another.

End of story, she now has the emergency stove wrapped in her red tartan scarf in one arm, Kyuu in the other ready for battle or use Confusion on anything if needed, and a small amount of fuel for the stove pocketed. Thank you!

With that, she stepped closer to Ventus to see what he found on the Scimitar.

It turns out that the mage has quite a haul on him, as they had medical items and wealth on top of intel and a key to somewhere here (Perhaps...) after the researcher and his drake finished their search. He also had two Pokémon, relatively weak species, but Ventus has learned not to judge by appearance/the norm when it comes to anything relating to vile wizard. Reaching into his satchel for a cloth, plastic gloves, and some disinfectant, Ventus proceed to thoroughly clean the Pokeball of any DNA evidence, before handing the over for Valder to put with his belonging. The researcher also briefly took a roll of duck tape out of his bag, ripped off a big piece, and placed it over the guard's mouth so that he doesn't make any racket while bound! 'If he can move around or alert other, he's less than an nominal threat at this point, but it never hurts to take all the precaution possible,' he thought, before they also hand over one Potion and Antidote to Shiva, 1 Potion to Valder , and pockets the Nuggest and cash himself for the time being.

"Here, Valder, take these and keep up with them. Its doubtless you know how to hide things on your person, given the fact I don't see anything like my satchel or Shiva/Nathan bag on you, so no one but you should be able to easily uncover their existence. The Potion is just a nice safety net to have on hand, as usual. Shiva, Nathan and I already have plenty of medical supplies at the moment, so I want you to take the other two medical items for your own use. I'll keep hold of the money for now, then later liquidate the Nuggest for its monetary value and split it equally among ourselves for our own uses once we escape this base, alright? As for the guantlets...." the empath tells everyone as he dolls out the items to everyone, then turns to see the afformention article of protection. They made his skin crawl by even touching them, and Kyuu even share his discontent for the blasted things, but leaving them here with the Scimitar would be pure folly.

That, and despite the sense of revultion he around the items, he couldn't help but become curious about just exactly what they are capable of doing. With no small measure of reluctance, he put the magical metal gloves in his inventory, before standing up, dusting himself off, and motioning to the still asleep Scimitar.  "...I'll keep them in my satchel for safe for the time being, and we can all investigate what exactly they do later. Now that we have completely neutralized this Scimitar's capacity to threaten us, we have a few option as to how to handle him. We can either leave him tied up here sleeping for the time being, since he is not likely to be escaping from his binds, but there is always the possiblity that some other patrol will find and arm them once more to start hunting us down in earnest. We can also knock him out with Psychic type attacks so as to remove him from the equation entirely for the unforeseeable future, but there is always a chance that the League might pick the faint traces of those moves and make our lives much harder. Finally, we can wait around until he awakens, then pump him for all the information he has on this base of operations, before knocking him out, but he'll remember what we look/sound like if we go down that route ('Note to self: by a mask sometime in the future.'). I have my own preference as for his final fate, but I'll keep it to myself for the time being. Now that I have discussed our options, what should we do with them?"

Oh, and he also passed around that piece of paper he found to everyone, in order to alert them of the possibility of traps being in the area...just like he suspect. Blast those meddling archmages and their overly elaborate security systems!!!

It was pleasant to see how Ventus seemingly knew the business, whiping off any traces on the found objects that could hint on them and come back to bite them at some later point and securely 'containing' the asleep Scimitar. It wasn't very pleasant to see them being tied up and silenced via duck tape, but they were the enemy, and Shiva prefered to get of the base alive. So, practically speaking, she valued Ven's actions.

Another thing she valued were the handed Potion and Antidote and thankfully packed them away as well after placing Kyuu down to the ground for a moment, down here they could use any medicine they can get. Good things she still had a Revive on hand: "Thanks, Ven, and it's good to see you prepared and armed with tape. I still have a Revive if any of our Pokemon faints and needs immediate help, just tell." Then, in a lower and somewhat heavier/meaningful voice: "I also...still have that kitchen knife I found alongside Ronin Spearow. Just...in case... If THEY should decide to come too close to us or even begin to threathen our and our Pokemon's lives..." She disliked the thought, she really did, but if it'd be inavoidable... Let's hope strongly it will NOT.

She also carefully eyed the paper Ven handed around for everyone to see. It llooked like mecahnics on building and opening a trap that would send out a whole batch of Pokemon, likely on intruders... She shivered a little over the thought. Handing it to the next person to her/back to Ventus, the tone she spoke out alongside this were very serious. "Alright... Actually no big wonder there are traps and warning systems down here. Guess we should agree to NOT touch any buttons, levers or parctically anything that we cannot know what it does, should we? Best would also inform one another if one of us stumbles over something in that direction, so that the others can avoid it. Alright?"

As for what to do with the contained and still asleep Scimitar... Shiva considered for some moments while staring down at them. How innocent they looked like, taken care of so well... It was barely believable how much threath they posed to them currently. Not moving her gaze away from them, she picked up Kyuu again. Psychic kitten calmed down a little being close to his Master again - but Shiva could practically feel how he eyed anything that had to do with the Scimitar with discontent. How much fun he had to just try out his psychic powers on them...

However, "Ven, if you ask me, I don't think they will sleep for much longer unless you maybe use Yawn again on them, but I'd prefer to continue our path. The less time we spend on the foe's territory, the better. I'm taking the stove that was around here with me as a small light source for us -" *she showed the others the stove wrapped up in her red tartan scarf* "- I also found a small amount of fuel for it. It's not much, but it's better than nothing, and the light is not strong enough to alarm anyone. If this Scimitar wakes up all sealed, silenced and in pure darkness, I don't think there's much they can do on their own, and in darkness I doubt there will be anyone finding them that fast to free them and open hunting on us."
